Let's Make A Car List For GT4

I am hoping that we might have some sort of nitro on some cars  double tap the X and burn away:D

It would be cool :D

I've got the perfect idea for Gran Turismo 4!
Be able to paint your vehicles.
Be able to get body kits on all vehicles.
Be able to get hydraulics on all vehicles.
Change the size of rims on all vehicles, also have a wider selection of rims.
Neon lights under you vehicles would really be great!
Way over 1,000 vehicles.
Cockpit view on all vehicles.
I use the term 'vehicles' because I believe there shouldn't be just cars. I mean some of us may want some trucks and suvs in this game too. I will list the models later on in my post.
When you buy tires, for example dirt tires, you should have different sizes. Sizes should range as big as monster trucks use, but limit this luxury to only suvs and trucks.
I bet if this game had some nitrous oxide in it, the game would be sold out every time you go to the store to find the game.
When you enter the pits, actually show the pit crew working on your car, changing tires, etc.
Be able to get nascar race cars.
Still keep the F-1 cars from GT3, but add on a little bit more.
I’m still working on my ultimate car list, no joking it WILL be, “THE ULTIMATE CAR LIST.”
If you have any IDEAS, not CARS, please send me them at JayDeeAF23@aol.com I would love to hear your ideas. Also send me e-mail letting me know what you think of my ideas I have listed above.

Nitrous??? SUVs??? Monster Trucks??? Another car list??? My best advice would be to read/check all the other threads that talk about any of the aspects you explore and work upon them... before starting a list or whatever, check out what the rest of us GT fans have already written... there's a truckload of car lists, opinions on the use of Nos, Suvs and monster trucks (100% against the 3 of those) that everyone has already written upon...

dude get real....this isn't Midnight Club II this is GT the greatest racing Sim ever made...

Nightmage82, thanks for your support on my ideas actually i think we could do away with the nitrous it is a little 'cheaty'. 240sxtypeX, I am real about my ideas. No, I understand this isn't Midnight Club II, you know what, this game would out sell any other car game out there if it had all of this stuff in it. If this game were out, could you think of any other car game that has this much stuff in it? Or should I say, this much thought put into it? Plus, this would be 10x greater then the greatest racing simulator ever to come out. Diego440, I guess you just wont buy the game then huh? The Vanishing Boy, nice car list! VIPERGTSR01, no it's not a joke.

hey np, welcome to gtplanet. yes you are right, these things would be extremely easy to implement (nos etc) since they require virtually no programming skill (when compared to real car physics)...

In the article in Evo they had a whole bunch of cars at Millbrook all being photographed and recorded. Not sure if all will make it into the game though.
I'd really like to see more brit cars, namely more TVRs (Cerbera 4.5, Tamora, T350C, T440R etc) and the Bristol Fighter (a gentlemans express, 525bhp Viper V10, 210mph, hand built, you'll never see one. ever.), various Lutos 7 replicas (Caterham, Westfield, custom jobs - like the guy from Evo -) with V8s and bike engines (these thing has fearsome power to weight ratios), maybe older cars like the Jag XJS V12, E-Type, older racing Jags and possibly even the Rover SD1 race car/ SD1 Vittesse. I expect there will be MGs in the game since some of the screen shot's i've seen have featured logos and model names on the track furniture. The MG ZT XPower 500 saloon work be a nice addition, I'd like to give an M5 a good run for it's money.

Well everybody, I geuss I'm really not up to the task of making "The Ultimate Car List". I will post my list though. After reading all the posts from this thread, I realize that there's no way in you know that I could in clude over 1,000 cars plus all the cars you peolple have listed.

If i read one more reply about monster trucks, suvs, nos, hydraulics, and that crap i'm gonna hit my head against a wall, like this :banghead: . If it werent for that stupid fasf and furious movie you people wouldnt know a car from a lawn mower. this is GRAN TURISMO, LEMANS STYLE RACING!. The day I see a pro race car on a circuit track with nitros, hydraulics and and those 🤬 neon lights pigs will fly, I will hopefully get struck by lightning and hell will freaze over. GET OUT OF THIS FORUM, go and play midinght club with your bald headed budy who highjakcs 18 wheelers and drives a charger that can pull a wheely and burn out at the same time, (which is impossible).
have a nice day.👍

 couldn't of said it any better my self....good job bro:bowdown:

firstly lets cool down a bit guys, this forum is for people who love cars not only gt lovers. just because we play a game without nos doesn't mean we all have to despise it. nitrous is a fuel like anything else, only used in a different way.

two points, firstly i live close to a bristol garage (nothing glamorous) but i do see a bristol every now and then. so i _may_ see a fighter some time, who knows :P don't be so presumptuous heh.

as for the rest, i wish gt4 would have more older cars in general, new cars are all well and good but i love the kind of cars we had between the 70's and 2000, mainly 90's... not necessarily classics but bmw e34 m5, alpina b3 switchtronic, the older sl 600, etc.

good post

oh man i would like that too... but some outstanding classics should be thrown into gt4... like some of hte classics sl's and like the 8 series bimmer.... and datsuns... and mg's and so many more.... but i am assuming that most of these classics will be left out and newer cars ( some not as good as the classics) will be used instead... but i cant wait to see for myslef

shelby gt 500 with body kits

Hey all,
im a newbie
these cars have all probably been mentioned but I think that maybe:
Lotus Cortina
Jaguar XJR 9, 11, 12 ,14 (that was a bute-a sports prototype with bascially an F1 engine)
the Kuros Mercedes and Saubers which ran @ LeMans in the 80's
the Pergeuot that ran in the early 90's
Dauer Porsche which porsche some how managed to convince everyone it was a road car
basically the C1 and C2 sports cars (most should be possible apart from Porsche)
again modern day sports cars like LMP675 and LMP900
like to see some old Trans Ams like the Shadow, Lola's, McLarens etc.
F1 and Indy Cars and if they're gonna have F1 cars from different periods (which they did 2 from different periods in GT3) might as well do many more periods.
McLaren LM GT1 (long tail)
Lotus Elise GT1 (only ran for a year in GT's real nice, had a long tail-they had it in GT")
Jaguar XJS, and S-Type R
Whilst on the subject of Ferraris which everyone seems to mention how about the classics like 330GT, 275LM, 512 etc.
Noble,
Kit cars ny1?
Mercedes CLK (which why did they cut that out of GT2?! I saw screeshots of it as well?!)
some Skodas like the Skoda rally car,
some group B rally cars e.g. Audi Quattro, Metro, Lancia big B*stard (forgot wot it was called)
How about some other old classics if they're gonna do some like Jaguar E-type, Jaguar D-type and C-type, Aston DB4/5, Ferrari 330GT, GT40 Mk. 4 and 2 etc., Ferrari's 512's and of course 917's (if they can get the licensing) etc. They could even have a historic race like oin GT2 (Goodwood would be a good track to have).
ummm...the DTM audi,
Saleen SR-7
Molem,
Tuscan XR400 wot eva thingy,
Lancia Beta,
Ford Capri,
Marcos (generally)
Bently,
a Citreon XM for a laugh,
Panoz GT1
Augusta (specialised European GT2 corvette)
Porsche GT1 (yeah right)
ummm nything else?!
oooo things off topic i'd like to see are:
perhaps weather conditions which vary through out the race and the ability to choose your tyre compounds mid race.
There were quite a few others but there wasn't anypoint in postin them 'cos ive gone on for long enough and they've already been mentioned!

good post

Heh, where do you live then? I was just stating their rarity :D
There should certainly be more BMWs, M5s, original M3 and the new (lovely car, that). I missed out Lotus 340R in my list :)
Now, back to building the Locost :)
(actually, we haven't started yet, need a decent sized garage first)

saleen all models with body kits
regular mustang gt with body kits
eclipse gt with body kits
eclipse 95-03 with body kits
honda civic's 95-03 with body kits
general lee
shelby gt 500 with body kits
ferrari all types
honda accords 95-03 with body kits

Oh dear god! Definately no 'with body kits' crap! What are you thinking! This is not a showroom game it is a racing game. No bodykit enhances the performance of your weak car in the first place.

welcome to gtplanet wee_man, enjoy ur stay.
when u say clk, don't u mean clk GTR? cause the clk is lame and its in gt3. classic ferraris would have to include the 250 long wheelbase, there's one close to my school, sweet. and the lancia you were thinking of is the Lancia Delta Intergrale, (pronounced grah-lay)

i live in ealing, london, england. i live fairly close to the great west road which is originally the M4 before it gets deep into london. if ur going into london, go past the porsche showroom, make a U turn on the next big roundabout u see and come back up that road, 200m after that roundabout is the bristol garage. looks like a really run down place. but then so does the rolls royce one in acton. The building looks old and then u have several million £££'s worth of cars in the forecourt including lambos and ferraris hehe

Hey,
thanks Nightmage82.
I probaably do mean the CLK GTR (the one that ran at LeMans 1998-99). Plus u luky b*stard with that 250 long wheel base, they just don't make them like they used to you know and I heard seeing them is like seeing rocking horse ****.
That Lancia isn't the Delta Intergrale, it was another one (which i think was also put into GT2). You know the green and white one which actually looked a tiny bit like an 80's Lamboghiuni (however you spell it) and Ferrari rally car.
I never used to be so keen on the classics until i saw them racing at goodwood.
I was also thinking, I heard somewhere that they're even goin to include the very first racing car etc. (so pretty early stuff like the 1920's etc) so another nice group of cars that would be good to see and maybe not to far out of the question are maybe Auto Unions, Pre war mercedes and even later F1 cars such as the Lotus 49? :D
Ooo and a Bentley Speed 8 would be nice thank you very much!
