It's Rob's FD though, no?

Also, yay, now searching for a better car than the slippy Sil80!

Yeah, with some slight changes to the suspension settings. Rob's setup was a great base for it. 👍

Also, what car you talking about?

Time to get uploading Mat  let the masses know the results 👍

Wednesday.👍

Got then vids recorded. Just making some final touches to the full report, and will upload ASAP. Just gotta re-organize some stuff for school.

Funny, I was trying to retune that FD yesterday. I'm at the point where I've just stopped understanding how to tune in this game now, however, after failing to improve my personal NSX after several hours of tuning. I can only tune fast cars, not consistent ones.

I'll be posting and sharing my little monster tonight or tomorrow as I'll be out for about 10 days starting Thursday. Not sure how it drives with a DS3 but I suppose we'll find out. :embarrassed: I also sent out a few FRs this weekend. I have Mat and Rob already and I sent out to Slender and Hei. If I missed anyone let me know soon please. 👍

Onboy, your opinion would be valued as well if you have time to take a spin.

Have you added SolidSnake7735?

He's recently applied as a tester. He's probably the only one among us (testers) who uses a wheel.

I believe Snake is also a tester since Mat and Rob will be voluntarily giving up those positions due to rock bottom GT5 motivation.

On a side note:
My tune will likely be posted after the T200 results are officially published. I'll be happy with whatever results my car gets knowing the stiff competition.

Today feels much better for me. I'm improving most of my cars one by one, and I've discovered that I can be a lot more aggressive with my LSDs to improve handling greatly. My T300 entry should be up very soon. 👍

Manage to get a 3:08 on Akina with your old DC2. Kind of re-mapped it for stiffer feel and as it was somewhat based on a Spoon Setup, adjusted a bit of the LSD. Runs a bit wide but left foot braking helps :)

Ummm, If you retuned it, it's no longer Rob's tune especially if you used Spoon specs. So, with a Spoon Tuned DC2 that achieved a 3:08. Tak, with all due respect could you try an original tune of your own instead of building a replica.

You've taken a neutral feeling DC2, made it stiffer and understeery and are calling it a success? Right...

Beware the trickster!

Definitely will want to get braking done as soon as possible. With 300 HP going to the front wheels this little demon could be a handful coming out of the turns. That said, the nose will at times pull into the turn, hopefully mitigating as much understeer as possible.

On share @ PSN DigitalBaka for those that would like to give it a try. Feedback is golden! :dopey:

I just added him to pick up his new tracks that he posted about recently, so we should be good then. 👍 I'll double check the next time I'm at the PS3.

You know me, I like to be a bit odd. :D Not as much as krenkme but...

Regarding the brakes, I tried a few different settings and finally settled on those. Stopping distance and stability are pretty good, to me anyway. We shall see how they fare with a different style.

Probably doesn't stand a chance of going up against Slender's Impreza but a reasonably good showing will be sufficient.

EDIT (6:53 PM): It's been more than 7 hours since I've been uploading the videos...

Out of 10 videos, guess how many have made it so far?...

TWO!!

What's with you and all the back-slash comments? What I even do to you? Is this about what happen back in T200 R2? Oh and back about that comment you made when I posted about the Fujita Car, sure I should be creating my own types of cars and not going online to gather info on Aftermarket Shops to get rates, gear ratios, etc for the setup but that's just me as I've been into replica stuff for awhile and why should I be making replica tunes when I got good potential for making my own creations? It's just me.

Alright guys, cut it out before the thread gets potentially locked.

If you want to deal with something, please PM each other instead.

Also, my sincere apologies if ever a delay for the final postings of T200 will occur. About 10 hours has passed and only 3 videos have been successfully uploaded.

If I may, I'm not sure what the relevance of a replica tune is in a tuning competition. Replica tunes are all fine and dandy in their own right but a tuning competition should, in my opinion, be about putting your knowledge of car tuning and GT5s physics to the test against others doing the same thing.

By researching existing real world tunes what have you learned about GT5 tuning? If you receive feedback about a replica tune how do you apply that? What did you learn? That Spoon or Mine's or Esprit or whoever tuned a real world car that does or does not work in GT5. What does that get you in the end? It can be likened to copying test answers off the person next to you. Yeah, you pass the class but what happens when you need that knowledge later and there is nobody to copy from?

Again, I have no qualms with replicas. If you choose to compete with them by all means do so. I can't forcibly change your mind nor am I in a position to stop you from doing what you wish. I just think you're missing the point. There is so much more benefit from competition than learning what someone else has done.

Replicas would be fine...

If they worked properly.

Sadly, they don't in most cases. There are a few things that actually work that occasionally get used IRL (stiff front/soft rear on old musclecars and FWDs, though ARBs are the exact opposite between the two) but until you start looking for what works instead of trying to make what someone else did IRL work, you aren't going to get very far.

^ Agreed. A replica in the Touge Showdown bear no relevance to the competition. It is akin to entering an Amuse R1 in the comp with no mods outside of the "stock" car available at the NCD

Ok, so what about this instead, Tak? Instead of replicating a tuner car in terms of the tune, try replicating it's feel and the way it drives? Like how you said my TMax s1 Impreza was like the Aqua Impreza, maybe try to replicate the feel of the car, since that would be infinitely better than putting numbers on a car when the physics system might not give the same results as IRL.

My 50¢, anyway. I don't have an issue with how you go about tuning right now, tbh. 👍

Always been doing that, I make sure the setup matches the driving feel obviously.
