The mclaren gtr has a red bumper and the m3 gtr looks different.

must have changed it because the works m3 gtr racer is german-run, so they placed it with a private american-run car. as for the mclaren, i'm not sure why they did that. maybe because again the work bmw mclaren is german-run, so they changed to a little by giving it a red bumper and change dthe number to #1. but that's just me!!!

Somewhat unlikely. Nonetheless, as you have noted with the Pescarolo, it appears that we will have the ability to alter the paint schemes of racing cars. So far we have only seen red variations...

Edit: more subtle on the 03.

I am hoping these are options of the paint shop.

As I noted a page back, it appears that we have ‘racing variation,’ rather than racing modification as in GT2. The racing number on the road going Ford GT is however a pleasant surprise.

The only thing is, we know we can add the rear wings so we can now change rear dforce on our road cars, there is strong evidence we can add a number to them for that extra racing look, but what about front downforce, will there be an option to install a front splitter or anything like that, if we can do all three of thoes to our cars, sod the race mod we'll be able to turn our road cars into race cars like that. But the ability to alter front downforce is a must in my opinion.

must have changed it because the works m3 gtr racer is german-run, so they placed it with a private american-run car. as for the mclaren, i'm not sure why they did that. maybe because again the work bmw mclaren is german-run, so they changed to a little by giving it a red bumper and change dthe number to #1. but that's just me!!!

Look on the carlist again. The red one is a 2001 M3 GTR. The one that we have been seeing for the past few months is a 2003 M3 GTR...so we get both!

The extra car is the road version of the M3 GTR. (2003 M3 GTR Road version)

The racing car is the 2001 M3 GTR.


Live, I certainly agree with your sentiments. The de-facto race mods ought to have adjustable front and rear down force...even though the body shape will remain much the same. It is however a fine compromise; otherwise PD would be modelling the race mods for years to come.

No I'm pretty sure there are 2 versions of the M3 GTR...it's on the website. One says 2001, and the other says 2003 a little further down in the BMW list. And I thought that BMW in your post was the 2003 M3 CSL?? I'm not sure, i could be wrong.

Yes, we have racing mods, but we buy it piece by piece this time around. I love that better! We get to buy a racing chassis as well as other racing parts. So, by the time we buy them all, we'll have a racing car to play with. I'm sure when we buy and add on front spoilers and rear wings that we will be able to change the downforce level on them. Putting a simple racing number decal on your car seems like a logical feature. All of this sounds great.

Could be done by adding a front spoiler too. Being able to change downforce without body mods was unrealistic and can imo better be left out.

those different colors on the car might be a product of the paint shop but I dont know what's up with the numbers on the cars. Maybe we got some mods we can do or something.
