Is your car in GT4?

My car is almost exactly in GT4.
The only difference is my car has T-Tops, whereas the one in GT4 is the coupe.
Even the year is the same. :)

Anyway it's a 1997 Camaro Z28.

I think this is a good thread because there seems to be a huge bias toward japanese cars in GT4.

It's really annoying , the amount of crappy dinky useless UGLY little japanese cars is astounding !
Some of the older ones from the 60's and 70's are interesting but the amount of useless ones from the 80's and 90's is a bit much to take.

The little BMW 2002 turbo is a good little addition but I'm suprised that the original BMW M3 is not in the BMW lineup... http://e30m3performance.com/

I have an old but super reliable and fun to drive 323i e30 Beamer , I would love to see it in the game and tune it off it's head !

A lap at Nurburgring in YOUR car
When I had a '95 Neon ACR and a brand-new PS2 with GT3, my car was in GT2.
:indiff:
Now I have an '03 BMW 325i with GT4 and the 'Ring... and my car is in GT3.
:ouch:
Can I run the 320i Touring Car instead?
:dopey:
My wife's car (Acura TSX) is almost in the game, in the form of the '02 Accord Type R. I ran that in the SCCA Speed World Challenge TC series last summer.

Just do what I did -- find a car that is almost identical to yours in its drivetrain, power, weight, coefficient of drag, sophistication in suspension design, etc.... ;)

When I was little my parents had a blue Volvo 240 GLT station wagon, just like the one in the game. In fact, the one I won as a race prize is blue, too. I remember we bought the car used, and it had a small chunk taken out of the back of the passenger side headrest. It looked like someone took a bite out of it before we got the car!

Well i have a 89 R32 Nissan Skyline Gts-t
Which is in gt4, but the problem is i recently changed its heart to a Rb25det so its not exactly the same.
Heres a pic

190 Rwkw
Tein He adjustable suspension
3 1/2" Straight through
Pod
FMIC
FPR
500 hp fuel pump.

Technically my car has never been in a Gran Turismo game, but again it kinda has; in coupe form the R32 Skyline GTS-4 was in GT2 only. Apart from the Autech R33 GT-R in GT2, i don't even think there's been a Skyline sedan in the series yet. :(

1990 Nissan Skyline GTS-4 (R32)
- 215 hp (a.k.a. stock as a bone excluding the 3" exhaust)
- 4WD
- Single turbo
- 2.0l, 6cyl, RB20DET
- Sedan
- Automatic :(

And the Blitz ER34 4 door Skyline from tuner cars in GT4.

I don't own a car, but my friend's car is in the game (sort of), a 2002 WR Blue WRX, the "bugeye" model as it is known. Complete with smashed front end and automatic transmission... :yuck: His dad bought on the cheap in that condition and brought it to his repair shop in Orlando to get a second lease on life. I can't wait till it's done! :)

Be proud of your life no matter how rich or poverty-stricken you are.

We all have people in our families with a "tad" too much money.

Not exactly the same as the Celica I own, but they do share their similarities 👍

The version in the game is about one year older. :)

Oh well, you can't even tell the difference between the two, what's your exact model?👍

Dude! ST162/5 Celicas are awesome! :)

A friend of mine used to own an '89 ST162 GT convertible. That thing was so fun to drive.

The car is an ST162 SX (From what I know  ), and thankfully it is a Manual :)

Awesome 👍
...But before I continue driving it, I need to replace/fix the gearbox. When I try changing into second gear, it has an awful cog-grinding effect… not good.

Yup, one of my cars is in GT4.

1987 Toyota MR2. Unfortunately they modelled it wrong in the game, the game version has the wrong engine cover plus the gear ratios are way out and they mixed the weight up on the supercharged and NA versions.

Very sweet car my friend, I'm actually looking into buying one of those with my next paycheck.

I know exactly what you mean though. I have an FC and it just seems to handle very different stock for stock from the game version, even though we have the same exact car. It's almost as if they disabled the 4-wheel-steering in the game. And it's not like it's because it's a slightly different version, because all FCs came with the DTSS installed.

But I noticed exactly what you are talking about, there are subtle differences that make you say "Hmm, I wonder if they really drove this car, or if they are just using an instruction set based from an algorythm."

The algorythm is probably closer to reality, which is one of the main reasons I don't play many "driving simulators" anymore.

The gear ratios and rev limit are wrong for my Barchetta too. I thought it might be that they had a different version in Japan......

Unfortuneatly my pop's Lamborghini isn't in the game but eh, his problem.

Little hint for ya. Nex time you use someone else's images (assuming that you did nick this), don't hotlink from the site you stole it from...

i think he was just showing an image of the car, not trying to state that THAT CAR is his pop's car.

check the posts below the one you quoted.

Dropout.

Ahh, could be. In that case, i'd like some proof that he owns that car, please. If he posts up that, i will both congratulate him and eat my words. Otherwise, i don't believe him. Large claims need backing up.

Btw, my parents' car isn't in GT4, and i'm quite glad of it.

I don't know, it just all reminds me of why I left GTP in the first place. And in my ignorance, I returned thinking that maybe something will be different.

But, no, still the same old GTPlanet. The average age is still 12 and the average mental capacity is around the same.

I'm not speaking for all members, there are quite a few who actually deserve praise. However, it's that 70 percent that is floating around here that really just need a reality check.

Oh well.
