they're a bit dark, and you should next time, try a lower shutter speed that way you get a motion blur to put some movement into the pictures. other than that, i actually like the angles. they're quite unique (as far as i've seen here).
 
As mentioned above, the photo's are a bit dark, Set the Exsposure as high as it will go on GT4 and then try raising the brightness/Contrast and maybe saturation on photo editing software, this will bring the photo alive.

BUT.... i like the angles you've used and i think the Merc is my favourite pic, the darkness suits it and makes it look evil 👍

Actually on the drift shots, I don't tend to use blur much, it seems to diminish the smoke from the tires. Also I try to use angles to show the whole smoke trail, while showing the best view of the Car. But I had to do 6 Shots on probably my best drift with the 3000GT, yes that is one drift around/ through an almost 180º turn.

Check out the newest addition, is this what you are looking for on the blur?? Blurring to Background or the Car to show movement??

Yeah the benz I did for a drift competition, with the theme 'Night Stalker'. But the competition seems to have stalled, it's closed but still no poll.

The darkness has a lot to do with it being a Night Track, and over-exposing (setting the exposure too high) makes the car look less realistic, and the color does not look natural. But my next drift session I'll work with a daytime Track which should help the brightness thing.

I love the 3000GT shot! You have some INSANE angle on that thing!

The picture of the TVR looks like you snapped a little late. And I can't believe you were drifting Group C racecars. I always thought they were a little too much like go-karts in terms of handling, good job!

The angles are pretty unique too, don't see too many of those.

Yeah, that 3000GT multi-shot, is probably my best/ most insane drift yet, I think I carried like 100-115 MPH throughout the drift, and when it started I never thought I would carry the drift. That car is like a spin-out waiting to happen though, loose and insane!!!

Go-karts, can you say sprint cars, lol. I love setting up those Race cars loose, so it's always just on the edge of a spin out, all that power makes for some beautiful drifts too.

I wasted time on the DEAD Nismo deal :yuck: - I got a surprise for him :ouch:!

Anyway I started my gallery today. Been up 26 hours - so feelin a little :ill:

I got some great shots for the truck comp - one is at my gallery under construction, good pun eh? Used Takoma & SVT.

Keep in touch - I wanna host a comp one day, any ideas?

BTY : I have no idea how to delete images or text from posts. Ask the big guns:)

That gif must have taken forever to make! I've always had trouble with long sweepers, so I could never do anything like that. And in a black beauty? Wow

Took way too long!!! I shortened it down to 26 images, out of the original 58 images I took. Took like just less than 2 hours to take all the pic's, size tham all down, and assemble them into a Gif. Luckyily I have all the 'Beauties' already fine tuned for drifting (when I created the BB Gallery).

My keys to the long drift, very 'loose' suspension, and trust the counter-steer. Oh yeah the N1 tires help too, more slippage and more smoke!!

Can't go wrong on N1's, they probably give enough wheelspin to power over.

Crash PMC is a good idea! U know how to start a comp? How is judging/polling done? Anyway I suppose we cudn't enter so no fun. Just wish there were more themes and comps to choose from.

btw, as for deleting a thread you can only edit and let admin dump it from the server in a couple of years. You can certainly Edit = dump whatever and post a URL to a new thread. You can only edit your own threads. :)

How about.... Game Glitch PMC (2.0), photo your best dissappearing fender....
or.... Worst Landing PMC.... Best wipout/ burnout PMC.... CCCL All Race or Rally (2.0).....
or.... Take this photo and PS it theme, supply a shot, and see what people can come up with in Photoshop....


Well I would just probably use the other PMC's as a template, and we still could enter, the previous week's winner would chose the next theme, and judge who will be in the poll. (geez lately, it wouldn't take much judging, so hard to get 10 shots in a comp.) Maybe even double poll, first poll determines the top 3, then poll the top 3.

Yeah, I kinda noticed that. Anyway I had hoped that there was a way to administer your own threads.
 
Hey you have some good ideas for comps, but how are they hosted? The Artistic theme is pulling a lot of attention!
I agree - one winner is boring for all.
There should be a better way - like you said top 3 then re-enter all 10 or others plus top three end of the month for final poll. That would give the weaker competitors a fair chance. Hey there shud even be a BOOBY prize for WORST shot. :crazy:

As for themes, well I wish there was more to choose from. Plenty of themes I can think of - there was never enough FF play in GT4, nor FR, 4WD, etc. Why on earth didn't Polyphony carry those into Pro & Extreme, and even into Endurance races?

Do you know how to host a comp?
I mean how to set up polling etc.? Personally I think GT Planet would be much better if ppl actually had galleries. And, whatever few shots ppl post get buried on page 10. :indiff: How Boring!

Well I took a bunch of replay shots, resized them, and put them together in an older version of Ulead Gif Animator. It actually took less time, than the looking I did, trying to (un-successfully) find a Replay Converter (it amazes me that the creators of GT4 didn't think to sell one, I mean they already have the rendering engine in the game, why not make one PC based and make a little more cash.)

I'm tryin 4WD drifting for that comp - it aint EZ - FR's are made to drift. Keep yer head down & chin up. Have a beer for me huh!
