yo i just got my steering wheel and im learning to drift all over again after 4 years on a controller.I started drifting drifting when GT3 came out so i got the skill, but im learning to drift with a steering wheel.I really want to join a team or make one of my own, but im afraid im not good enough to drift with a wheel yet . So if u want to make a team hit me up so we can get it started.

I wouldn't mind too as I'm new to GT but I've been using a wheel for a good while. I'm from Canada so it aint too far from the States either. You guys are on NTSC or PAL? 💡

i would not mind joining a team....my ps3 online id is: rpr101 so u can add me if u want..and send me a message letting me knw u wanna drift...well im using a controller right now cuz i cant afford a steering wheel...and im not sure once i get the money if i should get the logitech g25 or the official gt5 wheel...

wow....really nice vid...makes me wanna get back on GT4...probably mostly cuz i knw i drift better in GT4 than in GT5.... :sly: haha...but yeah...well my playstation network id is: rpr101 so just add me if u want and send me a message when u want to drift but im telling u right now that ur better than me in GT5 for sure...i may be able to keep up a little more in GT4...:ouch:

darkstarracer,
please remind yourself of the AUP you accepted and agreed to follow when you registered here:

No slang words that promote laziness, ie; “r”, “u”, “plz”, etc. will be tolerated. Decent grammar is expected, including proper usage of capital letters. Repeated violations will be grounds for suspension and/or permanent removal from the forums.

Thanks. 👍

I'm just starting to learn with G25, would be cool to have someone to drift with and discuss settings etc. PSN: Altf4z

If by team you mean get together and have a group slide, yes. I have skill but not much (I can get 14*** on suzuka east with the Ferrai California - but don't check it on the rankings, I was offline when it happened).
This might have been asked before, but what do you guys put your wheel on? I've got one but I can't put it anywhere, so it's gone back in it's box sadly (I only need one person to respond - don't want to change the subject or anything - PM me if you need to)

add me PSN: Nibbers1....I'd love to join some sort of crew

If you guys add me and you can't cause I have too many friends on my friends list, PM me so I can do somthing about it (most of them are randoms I met off GTA).

Clamp it on a desk, table or make some type of sturdy wheel stand. I made mine out of wood laying around the house. Not the best but it holds the wheel and keeps it from moving around.

As for the team, i would definately like to be involved with a group that does Drifting sessions. I'm not too worried about competing, just drifting for fun with cool people, since we have a common interest. Just can't wait for private rooms. The Drift-Chat is a cool idea. But it would be nice to have an ALL drifters session and not have to have everyone enter/join at the same time. Effective but tedious.

psn: driftkng

Hahaha, Sphinx why just ban everybody?? So why just calm down a little, take it easy. The most of us are here for having fun, not being educated to behave correctly. What's the next thing, being punched in the face for not spelling correctly?

It was just a friendly reminder to follow what is expected. Everyone agreed to the AUP when we registered here. If you don't like us keeping a high standard that makes this site the best GT forum on the Web then you can always move on yourself if you desire to do so.

Have fun.

Well as see it, you are just as lazy as darkstarracer. What about "AUP" And "GT"? Should'nt it be: Acceptable Use Policy and Gran Turismo? I like being here, but i would call this overreacting and authority abuse. sorry to say it, but that's what i see. correct me if i'm wrong.

Wrong.
What you see is a moderator taking a more open and friendlier approach instead of following the normal procedure that is carried out in private, whereby the member concerned could receive a 5 point infraction. My approach was simply a friendly reminder. Thank you for highlighting my error, I will now do this correctly.

If you look at the bottom of the page you will see "AUP". For the "GT" then why isn't the website called Gran Turismo Planet?

I think there is a line between what is acceptable and what isn't. "GT" and the like are sort of givens which are not offensive and that everyone understands clearly - but they aren't encouraged. Slangish shortening of words and and shortening of proper nouns (i.e Countries) are not good as they are either racist, will not be picked up by translators for non English speaking members, or have a rather lazy, inproper air to them. These last two points probably the reason in this case.

Svendo_man: as you're new here (at least I think you are as that's what it says under your name), a word of advice - It's not a good idea to talk in such a bitey manner to a moderator - it's a bit like prodding a giant grizzly with a stick and it's not going to end in your favour. Yes, you may have the pleasure of proving them wrong, but it's going to end up back in your face, either from the moderators or normal users.

The moderators don't have evil intentions - they're here to ensure us members are not harrased, bullied, being racially abused and other sorts.
It might happen in other forums, but here we talk to each other with respect and lesser users with shorter tempers than the moderators would not answer your questions (if you have any) should you keep talking in that manner.
The fact that you posted on this thread just to harrass someone without saying anything about the original topic possibly says something about your intensions (correct me if I'm wrong by all means). If the moderators make mistakes, they usually correct themselves as they have an extensive knowledge on what's acceptable and what isn't (I'm not even sure this rant is acceptable). They're only human, but they're damn fine at the job at hand.

Treat us how you'd like to be treated and welcome to the forum. Sorry I had to say that, but it needed saying. I hope this doesn't prevent you from posting in future.

Back to the original topic - Anyone who wants to add me can - and I was only giving points on an earlier post as I'm not sure if my skill is worthy for this new drift group - hope it is.

Can't see?

Though it is not know that GT is really a acronym for Gran Turismo though it is common referred as GT like how PD is to Polyphony Digital

Wiki
Gran Turismo (Italian for "Grand Touring", also known as GT) is a hugely successful and critically acclaimed series of racing video games produced for the Sony PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 gaming systems. All of the games are said to simulate the appearance and performance of a large selection of vehicles, nearly all of which are licensed reproductions of real-world automobiles. As of April 30, 2008, the franchise has shipped 50 million units worldwide.[1]

LOL! oops sorry, i mean "laughing out louder"! New here?? I joined the forum 4 years ago, hahaha... For the 4 years iv'e been using this Website/forum, i've never seen anybody being corrected this kinda way. I'm just curious why suddenly, someone is starting to behave this way... It's never been a problem before ( as far as i remember)

Look, you've never seen it before because it's normally always done via PM that included an official warning. I decided to give the guy a break by not doing that, I opted for a more friendlier approach, but all I got in return was you on my back.

This discussion is now over. However, if you want to find out how the normal process works when done behind the scenes, then please continue.

So you have been here for 4 years and only just recently grew a set and decided to start posting like an argumentative smartass newb who knows it all? quit being the smartass bud and try getting on with people and not so much of trying to belittle the mods for friendly advice.

Take a step back and try again sounds like a good course of action .. but I'm probably miles off your actual plan of action :sly:

Just my 2 cents .. take em as simple advice or rip em to shreds and give me hell .. your choice! 👍

Wow, I jumped in as a brand new member looking to join a drifting team and instead got a dose of snotty moderator and his cronies. Not impressed. Maybe I should just pass up your "welcoming" club and just move along as Sphinx suggests.

Hello? What is the point of a quick reply if it isn't quick?

Why even bother posting if you're not planning on staying?
The Moderator here has been questioned for giving someone a break.
It seems some of our members would prefer if we shoot official infractions and bans out first and ask questions later.
Simple rules here are: Read AUP. Understand AUP. Follow AUP when you post.
Don't like it? Feel free to go elsewhere.

Hello? What is the point of a quick reply if it isn't quick?

The quick reply does work.
However, if you'd taken the time to have a quick read through the rules here, you'd note that your first post is put in a queue for Moderator approval, as it allows us to screen out unauthorised advertising, spam and general nonesense. Your 2 posts got caught in that queue until they got approved. I've now done that, and your account is now fully active. Your PM box should activate in an hour or 2 once the server refreshes with your new status.
Take some time to have a read around the forums and get settled in.
Welcome to :gtplanet:! Enjoy your stay, if you decide to.

I not being funny guy's but can you stop filling this persons post with off topic rants, settle you differences behind the seens like it should be, no need for a public telling off its humiliating and unprofessional, you have ruined this guy's post!
