no expert but is a camery some better version of the normal camry?

It has an added e for excellence

So wait, you buy 1 car, to go buy 2 more? I like the sound of that. Good job.

The best part of this was that I didn’t even say anything (this time round), the suggestion came solely from her. Now if I can only make up my mind on what I would like... I think I’ll be out test driving this weekend :sly:

EDIT: Ahhh Casio beat me to it.

An M3, of course. Pretty much the best option ;)

Since I've recently played the hell out of Falcon 4.0, Jane's USNF '97, and MS Combat Simulator, I felt like I needed something a bit more modern. I played this at my buddies house the other day and like it so I figured I'd add HAWX to my combat sim collection.
It's not a sim, it's arcade to the bone actually, but it's a cool game.

What were you playing USNF on? I had it years ago but I couldn't get it to run on Windows Me due to the lack fo real MSDOS and haven't tried on anything since.

Tiny, sounds great, and was inexpensive. Mainly for use at the gym and when I'm home and need music.

Just bought all this for Heathers 67 Fastback Mustang.
Full front disk 5 lug conversion including brake booster which is not in the picture.

This kit came in yesterday and I am very impressed with the quality so far. The 11" slotted disks looked sick behind heathers new wheels. Going to be a while before I get all this stuff installed.

Ya, I didn't really know what to call it.

An old laptop running Windows 98 on it. I'm trying to figure out a way to boot it with XP but I don't think I'll be able to.

I bought an X-Wing Fighter.

Holy crap! In looking for a picture to post, I came across this site that is selling 6 kites for $175 (plus according to them they aren't even out yet even though Sam's Club has already had 2 price drops. I snagged the X-Wing Fighter, and they had the Falcon and Tie fighter, too, for $6.61 each! :D

How does it compare to Ace Combat?

Oh, and I suggest watching Zero Punctutaion this week. Yahtzee was fully on his game in his review of H.A.W.X.

Thanks for the heads up, TB! :)

Were you also surprised at the sound quality? I know I was with the price they sell these things for.

I haven't played Ace Combat in years and I don't really like playing flight games on consoles since I like using a flight stick. I think Ace Combat 4 or maybe 5 was really the last one I played and really got into. What are they up to now? 7 or 8?

So far I like HAWX pretty well, my PC handles it just fine and looks great. I messed with the controller setup to make it feel more real and less like and arcade game. It's not FSX but it works. I just wish a good combat sim would come out again like Falcon 4.0...that game was awesome.

My previous MP3 player, was my Blackberry Storm. Which everyone I'd talked with noted had great sound out of it.

After reading multiple reviews of the Sansa online, I didn't think that the sound comparison could be that much better, and that many people would exaggerate the sound quality simply because of the price.

Much to my suprise, it lived up to the reviews. The sound quality on this little machine is fantastic.

I've seen the 1gig refrbed and available for less than $15 bucks, which is a steal. I paid just under $50 for the 8 gig. (Walmart!) Which is an absolute steal. Online, the cheap ones were still $65+ and shipping costs.

best investment I've made in a long time.

You're all quite welcome. :dopey:

In the interest of full disclosure, in looking at the picture I posted again, it gives the impression that the X-Wing is *warning - slight exaggeration ahead* damn near life size when in reality it's sporting a 3 foot wingspan.

Sorry for any confusion that may have arisen from this minor omission.

I was already aware they existed, but not for that price.

By the way, do they have the Millenium Falcon? If not it may be worth the $40 at Think Geek.

I picked up the refurb off Woot for that shipped, the $15 dollar one. Needless to say it makes me feel better using that than my 11ty dollar iPod touch, and it has better sound quality than the iPod as well.

Sam's had all three here, so I'd imagine they should there, as well. Looked like they were starting to get other kinds of kites (not Star Wars) in so I figured I'd better jump on them while they still had some. We saw them when they were first put out for $18 each but figured the price would drop. It went down to $10 but they still had a ton in stock so, again, we waited. At $7 with others close behind it was time to pounce.

Also, we just got a call that my 3 year olds bed is in and will be delivered on Thursday and my bike is also done and ready to be picked up. I figured after almost 11 years it was time to have it serviced so they put in a new cassette and adjusted the rear derailleur. I'll be buying a new chain in the hear future for it, too. 👍

Star wars sounds not included? Its going to be hard to imitate those things, and it going to look even weirder in the park when your doing it. I wish I had one of those when I was a kid...

It makes you wish they made an Ace Combat for the PS3, that's how it compares.

The only way you can gain "full" control of your plane--which basically means very strenuous and dangerous moves that would make a real pilot black out, crash, or tear the plane apart mid-air--is with a 3rd-person view that has wildy erratic camera movements, and forces you to do the joystick-equivalent of button mashing to get where you want to go. Also, when you roll the plane slightly it doesn't turn like it would in real life and did in Ace Combat. The rudder isn't analog, either.

Besides control changes issues, it's pretty similar to Ace Combat. The only problem with the story line is that it sucks. A far cry from AC's glorious stories that actually make you want to kick ass.

So, just like the demo? Ugh.

Yeah, I gathered a story problem after this week's Zero Punctuation said that it would have made more sense if the enemies were giant insects from the Earth's core..........................................wearing silly hats.

I've listened to the audio book (in English) a while ago and I was always talking about it to my girlfriend so she got interested. Bought it mainly for her but I also want to read it.

Currently I'm listening to the Atlas Shrugged audio book (in English also) and I'm having a very hard time to find the book in Portuguese, I think it's out of print since Ayn Rand is not very popular over here. If I can't find it I'll end up buying the American version but then my girlfriend won't be able to read it...

I decided to burn some more money to complete my collection:

I'm thinking about getting Final Fight from the same guy, but I'm not sure. I can probably talk him under $25, which seems reasonable enough.

Thanks to the great tip from FoolKiller:

All told... a savings of around $300. 👍

What a day Digital-Nitrate !

First post in this thread. A few days ago I bought a 20 chars. x 4 lines Matrix Orbital LCD. I was looking for one unit since long time, they are impossible to find where I live (and in general.. in Europe there are not many distributors), and I was even more lucky when I found one of the double 5.25" bay models on an eBay auction with the 15 buttons interface with the black faceplate / blue lcd color model configuration. It was sold as used but it's on brilliant mint conditions, it even doesn't have any mark at all. And not only that, I was lucky also because I bought it at 50% of the price with a seller that included 6 thermal sensors, molex electrical adaptor, the 8 CM original CD-ROM with its Serial and everything.

This one was the exactly one I was looking for to suit my black Lian Li A77. It's still on the desk because I've yet to finish the set of the lastest 2 bus to config. I'm still studying the TTL/Rx/Tx and GPU connections to be sure about the current level in mA, so I'm not yet in the programming stage of the device. All I can offer you at the moment is a bit of ASCII through basic Hyperterminal (click on the image for bigger size, excuse the bad quality of the image with the camera, the appearance of the device is way better in person):

Just got these. Skullcandy headphones since my iPhone headphones broke.

And a DGK Marcus Mcbride board. Flips like a champ. 7.75.

Digi-Ni, I would recommend Quantum of Solace, it's not perfect but I thought Treyarch did a great job. The online multiplayer was surprisingly good, it's probably not terribly active anymore though.
