Prompted by a recent post from another GTP member I thought I’d share this info with those struggling to add a full size picture to a post.
Yes it is simple to do but everything you know is usually simple. I can still remember I had difficulties too when I first had to do it, luckily that was a few years back.

Photobucket:
Upload your picture and select the Share more option

Select the Get link code tab

Imageshack:
Upload your picture....

remove the tick mark and copy either of the links in to a post.

Still unsure..... create a PM directed to yourself, copy the link in to the pm and hit the preview post button. Once you feel more confident try it in a real post.

Hope this helps.

I agree there, that is awesome AMG and may infinite +REP follow you through your life. 👍 This will be as helpful to EVERYONE, regardless of what game and forum they're visiting here. 👍

Can I suggest we make this a general sticky for anyone uploading onto GTP?? :)

How do you get the picture from the PS3 to the the computer or do you upload it from the PS3?

Use a USB Stick to copy the picture, then upload it using your PC. I don't think you can upload direct from a PS3 due to the filesystem, although I can't confirm this as my PS3 has been broken for a month.

Also you may want to change your Avatar, it violates the AUP.

what about flicker ??
TB
to embed images from flickr, click the "Share this" drop down, then "Grab the HTML/BBCode" and then the BBCode option. If you then copy the contents of the box and paste it in the Quick Reply box, they should show up. :)
Also, please start using your Shift key as required.

What, no warning that Imageshack randomly erases your images, replacing them with an empty icon???!!?! Shame on you!!

I'd have to change the thread title and include .... for Dummies
+ add a load more information. I'm confident that most (not all) will be able to figure it out. :)

I also want to add (maybe it's just me), but any animated GIFs won't animate if you upload with imageshack now.. Photobucket works still.

The above doesn't tell us much except that you're having problems. If you want help describe what you're doing and where it goes wrong. More accurate info will result in a better quality reply.
