Got the game yesterday and love it (from GameCrazy in First Colony TX. They only got my one pre-order in.) If you are a fan of GT get it. It still amazese me how Polyphony captured the look and feel of GT right down to the replays. I'm on day 9 and Ferrari showed up on day 5 or 6. I only had 200k at the time so 1 and 8 million was out of the question for Enzo and F1 car.
Update 9-30
Wow, I'm blown away. I only played alittle GT4 and I must say I miss good tracks like these. There are still those that I have yet to drive. It hard to imagine, but I'm having as much fun as I did on GT3. It's so fun driving new cars and feeling the difference. Yes, there are alot of cars. The game has this addictive draw to it that make you want to race one more time so you can buy another car. I currently have 41 and have driven over half. The quick tune is need for the A and S class event for some cars so you can have it just right for those turns. I found that if you change tires (higher or lower) will change the class of the cars you are racing make that unreachable first a reality. You will feel the competition go up as You win each race on a track. You would think three opponets would be easy and boring, wrong. The AI is balanced to give You a compeitive race yet it doesn't feel like rubberbanding or trickery, just better racing. This is the first time I have driven so many different cars and enjoyed the racing to the point were it became more that racing, I was "driving" these cars, tuning and pushing them to their limits. I honestly forget I'm on a handheld because it is so polished and runs so smooth. Replays are spot on and still captures that GT presentation (I can't stop saveing them).
The challenges are fun and a away to earn quick cash for Golds which is all I have but 1 silver. I've even raced a few 5 lappers to get a huge jump in cash, the more laps the more $ you get. I been enjoying craking one track at a time and unlocking S ranking (which cand be set D thru S) and I feel I have barley scratched the surface of the game this way. I like the freedom to drive what I want and where I want and it's no loss not having forced events.
The graphics are really good. My jaw dropped when I raced Grand Canyon and witnessed how Polyphony was able to squeeze as much as they could on the little psp. You will learn to really resphistoryhis game as for capturing the look and feel of GT. I haven't even thought about "Career" because I'm too busy racing. I can't wait to try multi-player. Forget every review because this game does racing/driving in spades this game is easily a 9 because of the fun factor and solid feel of the contols/physics. The one problem I've had is getting use to automatic after so many years of manual. I have a tuff time shifting with shoulder buttons (big hands) and the non preassure buttons requires a few adjustments in your racing style. Those would be my only complaints. You will like this game if you like GT.
