Well, if I were Sony I'd sue the seller for a few thousand dollars to make a point. Easily done, as this is against the EULA.






edit: Wait... if I were Sony I would most definately give myself a new PS3 and some codes for cars... oooh... and I would demand my old citroen to be in the game and... I would buy a real ferrari and..... and....
 
It is "virtual merchandise" and he's nothing to blame.

All he says in description is 100% accurate.

The real problem lies in bidder, but that is their problem.

Everything legit here.
 
People are doing stuff like this all the time now.

I've seen people selling Fifa players on ebay for daft amounts of money aswell.

It´s not lying about anything. The bidders on the other hand should be flagged as idiots until the end of their days.

It's been done many times in the past, I have heard nothing of anyone getting in trouble for these actions in the past.

I am pretty sure that you are not allowed to sell game content.
Or to put it otherwise: that you are not allowed to make a profit off the license granted to you by Sony.

Terms of Use: You must not commercially exploit User Material without our consent.


Edit: You own everything that you achieve in the game, however, PD also own's everything you achieve in the game,
so you have to have permission from PD to sell the User Material.
So if these sellers have the permission no problem, but if not, then they are probably waiting for a lawsuit.
Maybe the PD don't care maybe they do. Maybe they will set an example to stop the selling?

You don't own anything that has to do with the game. You have the license to use it, which is a big difference.

Ofcourse you DO own the little die cast car you get with the limited superedition.

The Stealth codes and DLC codes are NOT an achievement in the game,
they are content you can purchase and can therefore be sold.

Might be, not sure how this works.
I got a code for the beta of Killzone 2 back when it was in beta phase... there was no way I was allowed to sell that.

Only issue, two of those things cannot be sold on e-Bay (only the 3rd one can be sold there:dopey:)
 
And neither can intangible items. Which is why I've actually reported the item.

I do find that to be an issue. It's hard to find a solid platform for selling drugs and people these days.

But the fact that the other stuff can be sold on e-bay doesn't make selling it legitimate.

A sucker is born every minute. On e-Bay, its every second as so many things are sold their at a price ridiculously high or for an amount on an item that has no business being there.
