I just won a 20 lap Indy Oval race with only Fiat 500!:dunce:

Total Time was 47:56.859 and we used Hard damage so damages was permanent until pit stopping.

My front left wheel base was damaged during the 2-3rd lap and I knew I didn't have time to go to pit so I endured it through 17-18 laps.

Why? Is this one of the newer seasonal events, or did you and some friends organize the race?
 
The world would be a better place if every Fiat 500 got sent to the crusher. The Citroen C2V and its horsehair bench seats can swiftly follow it into the chipper.

And to all those who kept saying "who cares about damage, you shouldn't be crashing anyway, go play burnout!":

THIS!!!! Is why damage is important. Not becuae I care to see a car explode into a million pieces (although I certainly don't mind) but becuase damage (and the decisions that come with it) are part of racing and make it so much deeper!

The other good one is Go-Karts on the Ring in the pitch black. I joined a room the other night and there were 14 of us 'racing' round there just using the racing line to keep on course!
 
Mechanical damage can be great fun in an online race. I was with some friends on a certain non-PS3 race game on a track with rather a lot of chicanes and hihg mechanical damage. First chicane there is carnage. I hang back, get through unscathed and cruise to victory. Racing should be all about driving "sensibly"!
 
3 laps of nurb on kart would be 10000000 funnier than this lol. Just boring on the straight but even there it could be fun with drafting etc..
