Hello:

I am Mexican and I know how bad earthquakes can get. I just heard on the news that many people in New Zealand have died due to an earthquake.

All my prayers go to you New Zealanders, and I hope from the bottom of my heart that at least no one from the forum or his/her family had a casualty due to this tragedy.

I know this is not a GT5 question, but please bear with me, I just wanted to show some support for the New Zealand members here.

I'm sure that not one person on this forum minds you posting in the wrong section for something like that.
I love to see the fellow forum members stick up for eachother.
My prayers are also going to be directed to those in NZ.

I'm sure even the heartless, overcontolling moderators won't mind.

I have a good friend that moved from Michigan, USA to NZ to be a paramedic...My heart goes out to those that have lost loved ones in this disaster. let me know if you need anything related to GT5!

Thank you for posting this; I hadn't heard the news.

I've been to Christchurch and those are some of the nicest people anywhere. My prayers are with those injured and lost, as well as their families.

Anyone from Christchurch to give us an update?

I'm a little torn. Glad I'm far enough away that I wasn't affected, yet too far to get down there and lend a helping hand.

Christchurch has been getting it pretty hard with the quakes the past few months. It's crazy to think that it was but a few months ago that they were hit by a stronger quake that did less damage.

Best wishes to those down south.

Definitely.

Also we haven't seen any pictures from Lyttelton yet.. not far from Christchurch. Apparently its in really bad shape. Most of the quakes and aftershocks have been centered very close to there.
 
You know...even with all the BS going on in the world... It makes me happy to see people that actually care about those in need. That really makes me happy to see other people from around the world care about others. Even though a video game brought us all here, im glad PEOPLE actually see past that fact and care!
 
A video game is merely our "facebook." It brings people from different creeds, nations, and thoughts together.

I am also happy to see this happening. Says the Buddhist in me!!!

Technically it's the South Island - not all of NZ :P
A well-known member, Sharky. is a Christchurchian has posted in this thread about it. And updated his avatar to suit :lol:

And Deisel Pump - not a huge amount of people have died. 17 have been confirmed dead. Then again, that's 17 too much :(
 
My first Morris Mini came from a great guy in Christchurch. If you're out there, Wayne and Catherine, prayers are with you and everybody else in the area.
 
Cheers to the OP - I have a couple of relatives down that way but thankfully none were injured. Scary stuff! Hope all in the Christchurch area get all the help they need.

If it helps my B Spec drivers name is S.Irwin and I had him driving a Corvette Stingray. Funny yes?
 
I'm also in the North Island, and feel like I could do something to help the Christchurch community. I have a few friends down there and hope them and their families are doing well. All the best and my heart is with you guys.
