Hello GTPlaneters, not sure if this is the right forum, but I'll have a go. And mods, feel free to move it if its not in the right area. Now on to the topic!

A lot of us know that the 24 Hours of Le Mans is coming up in June, and 24 Hours of Nurburgring not that long after. GT5 offers both these races in the Endurance Races. I, as well as I assume other people, have a thirst for these races. As I also assume, we all have heard of Livestream Procaster, if not, have a look. So, you can desplay live video stream with the download of this, app as you might say. Now, I was thinking maybe that everyone could run the race, while doing a livestream of it. I can link your channel up on the OP so everyone can see it. Now, it must be the 24 Hours of Le Mans, or 24 Hours of Nurburgring. So, go at it!

Now for an extra, I thought about taking pictures of the cars we are going to use for these two endurance races. I can't take my picture at the moment, but I will tommorrow. I also can't take a livestream of the race as I don't have a capture card that will make it easy for me to run the race. But, I assure you that my run will come on soon enough!

Also here's a guide to set up a stream from your PS3.

Wow, this sounds interesting. Two questions:

1. If I were to stream the race here, do I have to race continously for 24 hours or am I allowed to take a break now and then? To sleep and such. So that the race is more of a 36 hours in total...

2. Can Livestream be used directly from the PS3? Or do I have to tweak something up with my computer to make it work? I couldn't find any info on this on the website.

And regarding the car for Nürburgring I'm thinking about going for the Audi A4 Touring Car. Don't know if it will be competitive or not, but it's really fun to drive and right now just about the only car I can consider driving for 24 hours.

Oh, and regarding this, do anyone know what performance points the opponents are?

EDIT: Actually, why don't we organize our own 24 hours online at the same time as the real event? That way we could have different classes, like one for 300 pp, 400 pp, 600 pp and 900 pp (or something...). A live stream of each class could be awesome, and the streaming could be done by someone watching the race rather than someone running the race so the drivers doesn't have to worry about managing the stream while they drive.

EDIT: Created this thread over at Online Racing for this purpose.

That actually sounds like a very, very good Idea. And you can take a break if you so desire. And the performance points of the opponents, I don't know. One of the opponents though is a Lister V12 Storm, so if that gives you an idea of the class of cars. My car is getting me scared too. I also added a guide on how to setup a capture card to your PS3, to your computer and stream it live. It uses a Dazzle DVC 100, and Justin.TV, but most capture cards use the same setup. I'd also like to take your offer up on the 24 Hour online race. Sounds fun and I would defenantly compete!

^ You also have to race against Group C monsters, and therefore your A4 is probably going to be a backmarker.

My friends and i plan to do the 24 hours of Le Mans at the same time as the race. We will even switch off drivers. me excited.
