Hey folks!

I saw this thread over at the Race Report forum and really like the idea of running the 24 hours of Le Mans and Nürburgring at the same time as the real events and livestream the race.

Now, I was thinking that maybe we could organize an online event with different performance classes. So one class for 300 pp, 400 pp, 600 pp and 900 pp for instance. And maybe one x2010 class for the bold drivers... And combining that with livestream (say that one of the viewers do the live streaming so the drivers don't have to worry about the streaming rig while they drive) sounds like music to my ears.

So, is there any interest in doing something like this? Maybe an official GTP event hosted by someone who has experience of hosting official events (I have no experience of hosting or livestreaming).

Sounds interesting but driving for 24 hours online isnt possible due to the amount of laps

You can. What you can do is get the average lap time of a mid-range car. Say there are 4 different classes of cars. 300pp, 400pp, 600pp, 700pp. A mid range car, would be 500pp right? Get a car of 500pp and run each track twice. What those two lap times are would be averaged and rounded to the nearest whole time. Like 7:34:591 would be 7:35. Then you multiply 60 by 24 gettin 1440. Divide that by 7.35, getting 196 laps rounded. set it too 196 laps, so everybody races for ABOUT 24 hours.

Hm... I didn't think of the amount of laps required. How many laps are allowed as a maximum? Maybe PD could be persuaded to make a patch that enables 24 hours online race, if we ask kindly :)

It goes up to 500 hundred I think, before you get too an unlimited amount of laps.
