Just on a different note if we do go all GTR's they aint the same either.
Motul is different everybody knows.
Yellowhat is different too.
Not sure about Calsonic and Xanavi as havn't driven them much.

So everybody might not be happy with that either :D

I need to test before I cast my vote.

But starting with what we have today, the change I think is most justified is to increase the NSX to 607. I'm less convinsed about increasing the Z to 619. Appart from the performance view it also only comes in one make (Xanavi) so if it turns out to be the best performer it cannot accommodate more than four drivers. Also I think the Lexus needs to have 2PP more than the GT-R as today.

Leave as it is until next season...

One more comment on the Lexus.

Eppe and I really wanted to pick the Lexus (Denso) for the championship, to not be one in the GT-R crowd. We tested quite a lot comparing the GT-R (Motul and Xanavi) at 613 and the Lexus Denso at 615. Eppe drove idental lap times with all of them but I had a small preference for the Xanavi in the end. To now reduce the Lexus by two PP doesn't seem right to me.

At Tokyo Nissman was a little quicker than me. When we race in his league the differens between us is usually a little bigger, both using GT-Rs.

NSX is just not quick enough.....has to av 607 pp (i drove a 7 race champ so i know how to use them as well)

gt-r n lexus r right at 613 n 615
+1 pp for the Z

---------------------------------------

Good to get input from one who can drive both GT-Rs and NSXs fast. This is the best proposal I seen so far, even if I'm not 100% convinced about the Z.

Its just the Nissman dream lap on TM with Lexus and 615PP
and the fact it got most hp even with 611 PP, that makes
me wonder. And that fact that we only tested Denso, which
has Dunlop tires. Petronas has Bridgestone if I remember
correct.

My difference between Denso615 and Motul613 was pretty much depended on track. And lap.But of course, that might be unuseful info, since I got a better setup and practiced a lot more after that.

What is in Your opinion the problem with Lexus that it
might need 2 more PP´s than GT-R, when it has more
hp even with the same PP ?

This just seems so right somehow:

I also posted in the last thread about my tests on nurb with 613 gtr and 605 nsx. Difference was 1.5 seconds.

Should make changes for the new season. Would be stupid to start changing things mid-season.

Should make changes for the new season. Would be stupid to start changing things mid-season.

So You mean, if We maybe made wrong PP decisions in
a very hectic week, people have to stay with those for
10 weeks....

And to right up things a little.

Only the FIRST ones had the possibility to pick their car
since we limited it from the beginning to ONLY 2 same
cars. Later we changed it to MAX 4 same cars...

So NOT everybody had the opportunity to pick the car he
would have wanted....And thats my fault, since I wanted
a colourful grid. If I could change it now, I would let
everyone take the car as he wants. But in that case We must
have right PP´s, otherwise We end up with only one make,
which though would be the easisest.:)👍

Yes I saw that, but I think your NSX time is not on par with your GT-R time. Even if there is a difference, 1.5 sec seems higher than I think it is.

I tested at Suzuka and I was 0.6 sec slower wiht the NSX to the GT-R, and my NSX driving is not all that good nor is it well tuned.

im totally undecided on this.. May i suggest something for you though..

I was doing some races where the HP was set to 505. The reacing was VERY even and the NSX didn't have as such a big advantage as you would think. all cars were even and it purely relies on driver skill to keep the car on the track. obviously you can up the power output to anything you want really but i think with Super GT having a horsepower restriction is alot more competitive...

Max, you really cant decide the PP for Lexus based on my ''dream lap''.
I beat my GTR record by only 0.090.
The GTR is generaly faster car than Lexus. IMHO the Lexus must have at least 1 pp more than GTR if not 2.

Also NSX +2 (exept if tony will be driving it :scared:)

I cant really believe that I´m sorry...
In our tests the NSX is ca 1 sec slower on Suzuka than
a GT-R....NSX has 516hp with 605PP, and GT-R has 513 hp
with 613PP as We use.It seems to me that the gap would be even bigger if both had same HP.......

I dunno about the NSX being slower at set bhp's.
I have seen a japanese guy do 1.51.9 in an NSX around suzuka.
And that was a few patches ago when most SGT races were set at 522bhp and there was no engine limiter.
So he was in a stock NSX.

You mean like this ?:

NSX 607 PP
GTR 611PP
Lexus 613 PP
Z 617 PP

or

NSX 607
GTR 613
LEX 615
ZEE 617

Was decided over 2-3 weeks. And we can't expect it to be perfect first time.

Changing things will upset the results and the defeat the point of leaderboards if everything is changing everyone 5 seconds.

Obviously it would be stupid to think this was going to be perfect and plain sailing. Lessons shall be learned and we'll start afresh with season 2. Asking for a colourful grid is perfectly acceptable, and infact, i think most people wanted it that way.

Why not have each team have a car randomly selected for them? That way no ones gets the pick and with PP balanced, no one gets an advantage. People may pick a car for other reasons other than performance. I first picked Supra because Diesel likes that car, eventhough i knew it was slower than a GT-R.

yea

607 NSX
615 Lexus
613 GT-R

the Z is the only thing i havent tested but can image 1pp is enough....if not as we have it...... got keep the NSX in the series coz it has the most amazing engine note :)

so basically think u got the pp pretty much spot on. just the NSX really, ppl cant complain about its straight line speed coz if they got an issue with that they should change their areo set up - simple

atcually the grid is pretty close with BHP limits. As i said i ran a race with 502 BHP and ii used an NSX. I came 2nd to a very good driver around Nurb GP/F and i was beaten by a lexus.. the grid was pretty even with cars being used.. the fastest qualy time was only 2 seconds faster than the slowest car...
