Why's it 'trolling'? Get over yourself, driving god! I was under the impression that everyone can set up their cars how they want without your approval. Bloody 'Elitists' do my head in.

I dont recall you being at the checkout and paying for my game when it was purchased, so dont tell me how to play it. :):)

+10000:tup:👍👍

I had a lot of fun doing these in my untuned Ferrari Enzo, almost as good as that Nurburging F1 track in a Lotus Seasonal Event ages ago. Really enjoyed this weeks seasonal events!

I am having trouble finding a nice balance of cars for this seasonal. For the muscle car seasonals, I was able to de-tune a number of cars to make it challenging to beat the lead AI on the last lap. I have like seven cars that all drive just a little bit differently and turn laps just enough to beat the AI.

For this seasonal, I either have cars that are way too much for the challege or way to little. The PP limit is 700. I'm killing the AI with 500pp. Any suggestions on cars to try?

A stock SLS with Sports Softs is juuuust about enough. I only tried the first two races so far, and for Tokyo it was a perfect choice. Tsukuba depends much on who's starting out front. As someone else here already mentioned, if the R390 is up front, or the Audi Le Mans concept car (that's the R8 prototype), it was almost impossible to catch them in time, although I was getting closer by 1-2 seconds a lap.

I'm also really not a fan of Tsukuba, but in those cars and with SS-tires, the track offers some really nice challenging corners.

Seriously though, kudos to anyone beating these events with an untuned Enzo. I can't get over how much braking area the thing needs!

Yes because thats easy mode imho.
I own nearly 560 cars in this game, and I can only think of 3 that are faster/easier when I turn TCS on. He probably would have done even better in the races had he turned it off.

I only did the SSR5 race so far, and it was pretty fun. Good opportunity for my Stealth McLaren F1. :)

Well I drive with all the aids turned off, the tv upside down and with the 6axis controlled via my toes and anyone who can't drive like that must be really poor

That is a vision i cannot get out of my head now!

Better get to be a fan--you'll be driving on it for 18 hours in the near future if you haven't already done the endurance series!

Well all know the affordable Mazda Roadster can tear through the baTsuka, has anyone tried to win it at 1 min / lap ?

Hmmm. I love Tsukuba! Need a good tune and shorter gears for that track. Finished 3rd using a 330hp Integra. To each their own.

this is the best race of the supercar seasonal in my mind, and one of the best out of all the seasonals so far for me. i used the Alfa 155 touring car: good race

This special events are great, I really enjoy it. Eiffel is a track to test many and many cars to win... really fun.

It was never my favorite but I didnt have anything against it... until PD used it twice in the endurance races. I didnt even do the 9hrs race yet. Just the thought of it makes me rip my hair out, it was so painful at the end of the 4 hrs roadster race already and that is a perfect car for the track.

Unlike anything vaguely resembling a supercar or racecar! :grumpy: 👎

I used a racing mod Elise, and even with 260 hp, it was a breeze for the first 4 events. Eifel on the other hand, had me racing a mclaren f1. Took me two laps just to catch up, and the last lap to beat it I. The last set of corners. Epic fun:)

How lame are these races? Absolutely no challenge unless you use something ridiculously slow like a Focus ST or Volvo C30. I nailed these events (Eifel, for example i had a 6 second lead) in a 100% stock E46 M3. How on earth would a standard M3 leave cars like a Veyron and 458 Italia for dead? Come on PD, whilst i appreciate your efforts to keep updating the game, stop insulting us with these pathetic 'challenges'. They're not even challenging to a one armed blind chimp. 👎

Another prime example of lack-luster AI..

I too found that I can't handle TC, it takes away too much cornering speed. I generally have it off. That said, I'd agree that it's a bit silly to complain about how easy these races are if you make it easy for you to win, based on the choice of car and setup (including the choice of aids).

I gotta say that I HATED Tsukuba with a passion before this seasonal. I think mainly because PD only uses it with slower cars, like the Miata or some similar races. But using faster cars on it like in this seasonal made me change my mind of the track. It is my favorite track of this seasonal! If only it were used in Aspec with some more powerful cars...

@ Junkie: I have good news for you! As soon as you reach level 33 you can race faster cars around Tsukuba for 9 hrs straight!

LOL call that good news? So boring I had to do it in 4 or 5 stints. Even fell asleep during one of them (probably shouldn't have started the race after getting in from the pub!) Used the Elise RM cos I thought it would make it interesting, wound up winning by 50 laps, even on sports tyres

When you know what your talking about come back but till then dont post what you dont know.
just for your information when the first hot hatchs came out they where running around 115bhp golf MK1 Escort XR3 i owned one. Also there has never been a Ford Focus RS500, the only RS 500 was the first 500 cars made in the 3 door hatch ford sierra and most where used on the track mid eighties they evolved to become the now famous sierra cosworth but with a 2 litre engine as apposed to a 1.6, the nearest the Focus came was 2002 when they made the 3 door hatch called the Focus RS

Ford Knowledge Fail.

I had a lot of fun on the Effiel course in my tuned 500pp hybrid CR-Z on RS tires. It took me a few tries but I finally passed the Zonda in the last S curves before the finish straight FTW on lap 5. It would be very challenging on other tire compounds.

I am having a blast with my 2002 Jaguar S-Type R, tuned to about 550 PP on RS tires. Takes a long time to brake, and it does not pick up speed all that quick but handles very well and gives a nice feeling to beat all these "super" cars with a plain jane sedan. Well, maybe not so plain jane!

:tup:Used my done up Dodge Ram at Eifel. What a blast. Have to try Tsukuba next.:)

Best car for the new seasonal: Lancia Stratos '73 tuned to 450pp.

I had so much fun on trail mountain blowing past everyone in the turns. The weight and torque of the Lancia makes short work of these cars in the twisty bits and even though they will catch you in the straights it's enough of an advantage in the end. I passed the ferarri California in the second to last turn and it was a good battle all the way through from 12th.

Squeezing past the stupid veyron in a car with 1/4 the power is very pleasant.
