Welcome to Will27 Race Engineering
k2vfrl1y.mhq.jpg

My background
I’ve been playing Gran Turismo since GT1, which was the first computer game I got when I was 8. Since then, I have been hooked on the Gran Turismo series. My first car that I setup properly was with my Dad’s assistance was a modified Honda Prelude which I used to narrowly beat the Impreza Rally Edition and Castrol Supra GT, to win the Gran Turismo World Championship. Since then I have been tweaking almost every car I've bought.

I'll focus mainly on tuning of race cars.
I like to keep my race cars stock (not add turbo upgrades etc) but they should be able to handle these upgrades no problem. Adjust the gearing if necessary.

Please note: Some tunes don't work well in Spec2 onwards. Tunes I'm currently happy with will have "Spec 2 OK" beside the title

***This is the best I could get from the car. I have been tuning it on and off for a while, and I swear my hair has been changing colour because of it.
One of my GT4 favorites handles nothing like it used to:(
Will suit smooth driving.

If you are thinking of buying it, I would say only if you’re collecting. If you’re stuck with it, I hope this setup helps.

Nissan Motul Autech GTR ’08 Nurburgring 24h Special:Spec 2 OK

Parts to buy:
Oil change
Any tyres you want to drive the car on. (I tested down to Sports Mediums OK)

Specification:
518bhp @ 7000rpm (after 24 hours, 491BHP)
520nm @ 5500rpm
1130kg 603pp

Max Speed: 310km/h(~193mph) – set this first
1st: 3.971

6th: 1.012
Final Drive: 3.500

Diff: Initial/Accel/Brake: 8/38/8

Setting name: Front/Rear

Downforce: 40/60
Ride Height: 5/5
Spring Rate: 14.5/14.0
Damping—
Extension: 7/7
Compression: 7/7
Anti-roll: 2/3
Camber: 2.0/1.0
Toe angle: -0.02/0.03
Brake Bias: 3/5

During Nurburgring 24hr:
Lap 5: 8:18.634 on Racing Hard tyres
Lap 166: 8:03.390 on Racing Medium tyres
Race Results

The car was awesome to drive the whole way through the race. I could drive it any way I wanted to even on worn tyres and it never put a wheel wrong, even if the driver could have done with a smack over the head.

*Disclaimer lol:Thought I'd add this, please note there are handling differences between some of the GT500 GTR's. For example, the Woodone GTR has more oversteer than the other GTR's I have tested.

Really?, I use to run in a Super JGTC League. My car of choice was the Woodone CLARION GTR. It was maxed out. But to me the Woodone didnt seem to oversteer more, but the other GTRs seemed to understeer more.

I should add that it was testing with the Xanavi setup above. I agree though, most of the GTR's understeer by default. I just used that one as an example:)
