I had fun trying to get the car around the track and it took a few goes before I could successfully take the follow through flat! As always their is a few tenths left out there but I did give it a solid 90mins or so to get a polished lap.

I enjoyed writing up the interview and spent a bit of time reminiscing as it brought back quite a few memories!

You do have the fastest controller time by a fairly wide margin, and there is something to be said for that. 👍

Then there's the fact that you were first to set a lap, so nothing to shoot for but beating your own ghost. The rest of us had some motivation. :sly:

He's not an alien, hmmm, that's errrr, handy for GT. I don't think he's been around long enough to get a chance to do the star in a car, don't mean to offend, but there is quite a lot of people who have joined around the same time or a couple of months before, myself included, and I don't think they should be doing it just yet. I'd like to but I'm probably not that well known.:(

I'd be straight to the bottom of the leaderboard. Unless I got the chance to use Jason's C4, since it is exactly the same colour as the one used here and modified to 'only' 310bhp. :lol:

Besides which I'm not even a Premium yet. Premium is years away for me yet :crazy:

And give MarkWebber a Mazda2 and see if he can not get last on the leaderboard :lol:
 
Pretty cool stuff so far, great idea. Would love to do it, but don't post on gtplanet too often, so I imagine the fans would like more recognizable names.

What has brought you here to GTP? How long have you been a member?

A generic google search brought me to GTP as I wanted to see how fast I really was, since no one I knew could keep up. I used to be an avid GTTimes.com driver (I still have a #1 time on there at Swiss Alps Reverse:lol:) but when that site refused to get updated for GT4, that is when I made the switch to GTP. I have been a member since Sept. 29th of 2004.

How has GT5 been for you?

I was just as amped up for GT5 as any other previous release. But for me, GT5 has fallen very short. I don't mind the standard cars and imported GT5:P cars. I was hoping they would find other never before seen cars in GT. I'm not a fan of the newpoint 40 point system and the biggest flaw has been the lack of tracks (obviously not track variations).

Considering they had a ton of shortcuts; importing GT4 and GT5:P cars and track variations (most of the track modeling is reused). And then add in the 3-D, which I don't know one person who is using it. Also the inclusion of SRF (GT4 physics) and minimal replay options....it's my opinion that GT5 is way off the mark as they seem to be catering to a broader market base; alienating the hardcore fans. I'd say GT4 and GT3 are better games, even though you can play GT5 online, the shortcomings of limited garage cars/not selecting from your own garage cars for others to use and the drastically different online physics don't compensate nearly enough.

What has been your favorite vehicle to drive at the moment?

My favorite car to drive has to be the Honda NSX Type R '02 (Premium). I can just get in it on any track and it feels like it drives itself. I try and be a smooth driver and this is the car that mirrors my driving style the best.

What about tracks? Are there any particular favorites you have?

My first memories of GT are of driving a Race Modified '94 Prelude at Deep Forest. That track has been my favorite pretty much from day 1. It's my go-to track for tuning most cars and with GT5 is how I find the fastest cars per Performance Points for online racing.

Have you played around with photomode at all? If so, how do you like it?

I'm not much of a photographer in GT or real life. The extent of my photomode experience has been to get the platinum trophy in GT5 and posting race spec's for the OMRS and WRS. But I am proud of this picture I snapped today :lol:

What is your favourite GT game and why?

Much to my surprise I would say GT4 is the best GT game. It had just one glaring mistake; Mission 34. Otherwise the rest of the game was perfect in my opinion.

Are there any other video games do you enjoy playing?

I love playing all of the Legend Of Zelda games, Ratchet and Clank, Call Of Duty and I have a nice catalog of NES, SNES and N64 games (about 180 total) to pop in when the cravings hit 👍

Switching over to real life, what do you drive? Is it in the game and if so, how does in compare?

I drive a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid, it's not in the game. But my wife's 2006 Honda Element is in the game (the only difference is the post 2003 models don't have gray quarter panels). I drove it in GT4 and in GT5 and it's fairly close I'd say. But then again I haven't driven our Element over 100mph either :lol:

Whats your favorite car and what is it about it that you like so much?

My favorite car would have to be a Yellow '76 Corvette Coupe with chrome trim, chrome luggage rack and white wall tires. The Corvette is the only domestic car I'd consider buying and that one has a good engine and I love the unique and now classic look of the C3 Vette's; very curvy and looks aerodynamic.

What's your other hobbies?

My other hobbies include comic book collecting, which I think I spend more time on than GT recently. I did purchase the first appearance of Spider-Man (Amazing Fantasy #15) this year and just got Stan Lee to sign it, so I'm hoping that will be a nice family heirloom in the years to come :)

I've also spent the past 15 years collecting every since comic book appearance of Venom (my favorite comic book character), which no one else (that I know of) has ever done.
