This list is based on my personal garage of 2.538 GT5 cars. It's not exact science but should be fairly accurate.

Copy it to a notepad for use when collecting cars, or comparing mileage on your car vs the ones for sale.

Feel free to add info you see that can complete this list, or make it more accurate.

+ means that year has been confirmed, with km slightly over the listed number.

km: ....... year:

399.000+ 1962

389.000+ 1970

..99.000+ 1995

..94.000+ 1996

..79.000+ 1998

..69.000+ 1999

..59.000+ 2000

..49.000+ 2001

Pretty resourceful thread. Even though it's simple to know enough that the older the car is, the more km it has, and vice versa w/ more recent cars. But still, it can be use for potential car collectors 👍 And I have some info to add to the list: 2010 cars should be at around <1,000km, but some of the cars dominate around 100-250km marks. I'll have to take a look in my garage for any 2010 cars and look around this.

So you suppose it to be a rather linear function

What exactly is the point of this information? It's rather obvious that older cars will tend to have more mileage on them. However, most cars from those years can be found with MUCH less mileage.

I generally won't buy late 00s with more than 1000 km, early 00s with more than 2000 km, 90s with more than 3-4 thousand, 80s with more than 8-10 thousand, or the oldest ones with over 30,000 km. But I have plenty of examples of cars way under those numbers, even cars from the sixties with only/under a thousand miles. I know I'd NEVER buy a mid-90s car with 90,000 km.

In my experience, it seems to vary some by the car model as well(ignoring the obvious with race/tuner/concept/unique cars). It seems that I have much harder time finding "plain" cars with low miles, but it's not just that. Rufs are one group I've noticed always having high distances. Approaching day 2000 & I still haven't seen a Yellow Bird under about 40,000 km, usually way higher. Are there some that never have low miles, or is it just luck?

This.

This thread is for people interested in how much mileage a car can get (like myself), not so much for those that want low mileage on their cars.

A golden rule: If a thread don't suit your needs, it's probably for someone else. 👍

Thank you. Now that you say that, the list makes perfect sense now. As just a list(and a note or two that only made sense if you knew what the list was beforehand) it was difficult to tell whether it was list of "good" mileage for people who do trading or something like that, or just what it was at all supposed to mean, since it didn't seem to jive with the averages I've seen. I just wanted to know what it was that you were telling the world about, so I could find out whether it had any value to me... then I started wondering aloud about some other things that I have noticed. :)

Another golden rule: Sometimes a question is just a question, and might even indicate that something is unclear.

I think it's just luck because I've found a BTR with 26,239.3 km and a 3400S with a 4,138.1 km but I haven't spotted a yellow bird with under 40km yet

To be honest, I think this thread makes no sense. ;)

The mileage is based on the model and not on the year.

F.e. the Dodge Charger 440 R/T '70 comes with around 10.000km-399.xxxkm. Another example are the concept cars, f.e. the Nissan GT-R Concept (Tokyo Motor Show 2001) '01.
They have all mostly under 200km, I just picked yesterday one up from my UCD with 0km, yea ZERO.
:dopey:

And since one of the last updates even old cars popping up with very low mileage.

It would make more sense if you create a list with every car + the highest & the lowest mileage spotted in the UCD, for every car. 👍

That was never the purpose of this thread, I am sorry if I was unclear on that.

I needed a reference list for max mileage per year not per car.
So showing max mileage for each car would not make any sense.

Ok, then why do you want to know "the lowest & highest mileage of every year"? 💡

Despite the fact that it isn't informative in any way. At least not if you don't list which cars are comming with that mileage.

I don't get it. :)

I never asked for that, other people may ask for that, not me. I am only interested in max mileage per year.

I'm actually curious as to what the lowest kms has been found on some UCD pre 1990s cars.. like the Autobianchi A112 - I never found one of these with low kms until the OCD had one up with 0.

Fixed. ;)Now, why ???

Is there somewhere a "Most mileage of year XXXX - Contest"? :)

ROFL! I guess when you have 2500+ tuned cars like me, there is other things ingame to focus on. :D

So I make challenges for myself, and continue to create my of a kind car collection. 👍

One of the things that make it unique is my Audi TT with Subaru Impreza rims on, lol.

I like the idea of trying to figure out the year to miles ratio, and the graph with the line helps someone like me understand it better.
Other things that you could factor in to your equation are power and price, although that might be thrown out the window pretty easily. I would be shocked to see a 1970 Chevelle with 6000 miles go for under $80k.

Edit: less hostile.

I have also noticed how cars cannot exceed sertain amont of kilometers/year.

Now that I compate those '96 , 02 and 04 4.000's to what I have in garage it starts to clear up.
This 4.000+ means 4999 at maximum.

Well spotted 👍

+ means that year has been confirmed, with km slightly over the listed number.

km: ....... year:

397.000+ 1962

389.000+ 1970

..24.000+ 2006

The one car for year 2006 I have twice with over 24000 kilometers.

I don't think the 300k cars follow any year suite as they are pre '95s anyways.

from my garage:
Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65 - 394.225km Rosso Alfa
Corvette Convertible (C1) '54 - 387.995km Polo White , 399.249km Sportsman Red
2CV Type A '54 - 301.306km Gris Bleu , 386.580km Gris Clair
Charger 440 R/T '70 - 323.154km Sublime , 339.013km Go Mango , 354.853km Plum Crazy , 354.871km Plum Crazy , 394.706km Light Gold Metallic
500 F '65 - 389.539km Blu Scuro
S500 '63 - 376.435km Scarlet
E-TYPE Coupe '61 - 373.826km Opalescent Silver Grey Metallic , 396.401km Opalescent Dark Green Metallic
Carol 360 Deluxe'62 - 359.676km Garnet Red/Pastel Gray , 363.354km Eternal Gray , 394.257km Garnet Red/Pastel Gray
SKYLINE 1500DELUXE (S50D-1) '63 - 305.514km Light Brown Metallic , 373.214km Blue Metallic
SUBARU 360 '58 - 316.366km Sand Beige , 386.748km Fresh Blue
Beetle 1100 Standard (Type-11) '49 - 390.587km Perlgrau

[offtopic] I read someone had spotted 300km + Caterhamn in the UCD  [/offtopic]

300k km cars cost the same as their normal counterparts with same mileage minus 300k km.

Oh right , the mileage in garage is divided/multiplied by 1.6 km / miles :grumpy:

This information is usefull for hunting maximum mileage cars of each year.
Means less wear down needed to squeeze the cars in to certain frames ect. :mischievous:
