Nah, you have nothin' to worry about Kev. I didn't know it was just the first lap. Judging by you and Dion's laps, I figured it was the fastest you could do, my bad, so my laps is now a full second slower :ouch:

1:28.792

But still very honored with the interview đź‘Ť

You ran that time in one lap? :scared:

BTW great interview mate đź‘Ť, Awesome to see you made the cut of being a GTP star :dunce:

Yeah, let's clarify here. It needs to be the first lap of a run, but you can practice before making your run. I'm thinking Jerome did run multiple laps, but maybe his first submission was a ghost lap from the middle of a run, and not the first lap out of the gate on a run?

/\ Thats right Kev. Aw well. It was still fun, thanks RC!

Jerome

I would like to participate on this people. When i can?

When you actually become a big name on GTP. All the people that competed here are well known throughout the GTP Community, not just random users.

Jerome needs to be added to the leaderboard and more members need to be picked!! :D

I'll fix that today.

Meanwhile, I'm having trouble trying to find someone to temporarily take over recording NTSC replays for the time being. Ironically, I planned on having Jerome do it, but he says he won't be around enough to do it.

Maybe you could send out the message to a few people and have multiple guys doing the interview and laps, then as they come in you can stagger the release by a few weeks at a time.

I just really like this concept and dont want to see it die.

Good news: My PS3 will be back this week on Tuesday :D I'll be making a list of new guests now, will be back on full this week.

I wish I had seen this before. This is a pretty brilliant idea indeed, and give me yet another goal for GTP/Gran Turismo.

If I may I have a couple suggestions for future considerations: R1600Turbo, Christhedude, Adrenaline and Rotary Junkie

Episode 14 - Terronium-12

Our guest tonight is a member of interesting taste and interest. Please welcome the very potent, Terronium-12!!

What has brought you here to GTP? How long have you been a member?

I've been a member here for four years, well technically five when you factor in my original account I no longer use. As for what brought me here I honestly can't even remember; I'm certain it had to do with GT3 though. If I were to fathom a guess, I'd say the first thing that brought me here was GT3's prize car carousel. I was aggravated because as it was almost entirely random and I'd never get the car I wanted -- until I ventured here and discovered the X button routine, or even simpler than that was the entire process of winning either 4 or 9 respective championship races, exit the final race, save the progress and go on to claim the prize car you wanted. Should the process fail you'd simply go back to your save point (I believe at the 9th race) and repeat the process until you got what you wanted.

Of course, that's if I had to guess.

How has GT5 been for you?

It was great...for about the first month. Once the novelty of finally having GT5 wore off, all of the problems with the gameplay, or rather the lack thereof began to settle in. Slowly, but surely indeed.

What has been your favourite vehicle to drive at the moment?

That's actually a tough one for me, there are quite a few vehicles in the game I go to whenever I fire it up. Choosing just one I'd have to go with the HKS CT230R. It might be a bit of a pig through some corners, but you can be so aggressive with the throttle, and it has so much balance it's almost on an entirely different plateau. Let's not forget the sound it makes; while not entirely accurate, it's still quite pleasing to my ears. Funny thing about that is it sounds much more like the real Gallardo than the Gallardo does in the game. :P

There's also the X1 but I mostly do that for the wow factor, taking that thing around corners at speeds that would quite frankly induce hernias galore.

What about tracks? Are there any particular favorites you have?

I quite like Cape Ring Periphery because it's such a...profound track that overlooks a wide area -- kind of like driving in the sky. That's the feeling I get when driving around Cape Ring. There's also Route 7 which, if you were to ask me, should be an offending crime that such a track is in the game but isn't used single time in A-Spec if I remember correctly.

Regardless of that however, no, rather no track in any forthcoming Gran Turismo game will ever replace the likes of Red Rock Valley and Grindelwald for me. Those were my two favorite tracks in any GT game ever.

Have you played around with photomode at all? If so, how do you like it?

I most certainly have, in fact that was the single largest contribution to the game that kept me coming back even after I lost all immediate interest in the *actual* game itself. I ran my own photomode galley for several months (which you can find here), once I got back into the mood of things as far as photos went I began taking some great pictures if I do say so myself. Entered a few PMC's (Photomode Competitions) and that was a great experience as it not only made me an even better digital photographer, it also encouraged me to edit my photos in ways I never had before, just to wring every last detail I possibly could...all while adding additional details.

As you can probably gather, I loved the photomode aspect of the game. Just as I did with GT4. Sad o say that not even that can maintain my interest anymore.

What is your favourite GT game and why?

Oh, that's easy: Gran Turismo 2. Even with the likes of 3 and 4, GT2 feels like the last great GT game where so much thought was put into every aspect that the only features of the games that suffered were those that were cut at the very last minute. There was so much to do that it literally took me about a year during my first playthrough to get to the point where I was winning the later races in the game that awarded you 50k per race comfortably. GT2 pretty much had the best of everything and for me it still does.

I still play it every now and again to reminisce. Ah, Tahiti Road...how I miss you so.

Are there any other video games do you enjoy playing?

Of course. Right now I'm up to my neck playing F1 2011 which if you happen to follow Formula 1 introduces all of the new intricacies to the game. I find myself asking how the drivers can cope with DRS and KERS without pulling their friggin' hair out. You definitely have to plan ahead for how you're going to use them, otherwise you're going to be in it to lose it.

There's a myriad of other games as well. Some I love as much as GT, others I love more but I don't wanna bore the audience out there with my exceptionally long list of games. So, let's just leave it at F1 2011. :P

Switching over to real life, what do you drive? Is it in the game and if so, how does in compare?

I drive the single most exclusive vehicle in the world -- my legs.

No, they're not in the game so I have no basis of comparison. Foot race, anyone?

Whats your favorite car and what is it about it that you like so much?

Do I have to pick just one? Off the top of my head, and for those who I've mentioned this to before should know where I'm going, I'd say the Jaguar XJ220. Before then I only ever looked at Jaguar as a luxury brand with the foremost priority being arriving ahead of everyone else in productive class and prestige. With the XJ220, Jaguar simply threw caution to the wind and excited the speedfreak in me; a car that, in 1992 could do 217mph? Are you kidding me? Fastest car in the world until the McLaren F1 came along with it's fancy-shmancy 243mph top speed.

I drove the living daylights out of it in GT2 and 3, shame the XJ220 LM lost so much of it's god-like speed in 3 though.

What's your other hobbies?

Building, painting, and detailing plastic model kits. Building, repairing, and generally messing around with computers.

Both of which are expensive hobbies for one to be into.

Anything else you'd like to say?

Just wanted to say that there was turbulent winds when I went around the track, and a bit of intermittent showers that only I could see, and ugh...the steering wheel was on the wrong side.

Also want to give a shout-out to everyone who knows me. It's been a great four (five) years here, and despite any other forum I join with good intentions I always come back here because the overall community is so great, lots of people to joke around with, and of course there's the DBT (if you don't know what "DBT" means then you're not special enough :P) so that also keeps me here as well.

Also, a personal shout-out to Dion (Small_Fryz) see, I told you I don't do well with low-powered cars. I hate them.

Great interview Michael and entertaining read
Defiantly one of GTP's stars :tup

Looking forward to you showing me how the lap should have been done :dopey:

Sure wasn't threatened by me, that's for sure. :dopey:

I can't even remember the time I did; that I only did in one lap...

Splendid interview Michael đź‘Ť So...how do you think you've done? *cue T-12 leaning forward*

I'd love to be interviewed and post a lap-time, let me know if you're looking for interviewees đź‘Ť

Vid-e-O! Vid-e-O! Vid-e-O! :P

I know I need to get those up. I'm waiting for one replay so I can record them and post them in the correct order on the channel.

I'd seriously love to give this a crack! I'd prolly get the slowest time but hey. Gotta wait to get my PS3 back from Sony (YLOD) though. :(

I'm the 18th registered member on GTP, does that make me special enough? ;)

I suggested this ages ago. This is a good idea, Racecar. I can still record PAL laps for you too.

^^ Would certainly keep the names flowing and the thread alive.

Normally it would, but unfortunately your a kiwi, so it kinda cancels each other out :D
