Highlights to follow...

A good event tonight, all tight and clean racing. A few of us had 'eventful' races which will show in the highlights!

A Special Award has been added to jamesybograt for the unfortunate disconnection not long after starting the last lap, so a percentage of the points have been awarded as extra points - everyone else remains as the race finished.

Quick mention to Barnezy318, in answer to your question in the lounge after the event, yes you can employ a realistic amount of 'blocking' but keep it clean and don't over-block, sure let the other driver work for the pass, but understand when you are beat with regards to passing.

As for ade3210 not 'seeing' jameys for the event, trust us, he was there  and to clarify...

Good racing again tonight, unlucky for jamesy to get disconnected on the last lap though.

We were having a good race with the gap around 3 seconds give or take,I got the gap down to a second or so towards the end of lap 1 but cocked up a few corners before the back straight, lost a few seconds and missed my chance to pass.

(Still say i'd have had him on the last lap anyway. ;);) )

Busy watching the highlights of WRC Rally GB. It's good to see the night stages making a return! (it's not like me to enjoy racing in the dark :) )

Still, with watching some sideways motorsport has me inspired for something for the TRIDENT GT :sly:

This is what I saw at the end of race 1, which is why I thought I was on the podium. In my replay, Jamesy is there at the start of the race, but vanished around lap 8. I really enjoyed all of last nights races, a good close battle with warrius in race 1, the 2nd race was close in the midfield, but I pushed too hard on that right hander (you know the one I mean Omnius) and lost it a couple of times. I had probably my best attempt yet at nurb, and it was close between barnezy and myself at the end, and I didnt end up pulling over lol.

Race 3 Updates...

Barnezy, Barnezy, Barnezy

Having reviewed the replays (for the highlights) I've noticed that there was an incident with R063R_GL4560W. As it turns out there will be no penalty, but I think its worth mentioning that sometimes, you can be a bit of a 'loose cannon' out on the track - and thats not all bad, we all have different driving styles, and always try to attain 100% clean racing.

As you will see from the highlights of race 3, you were right on the limit and if the results had turned out differently, there may have been a points deduction. As it happens the race settled down and the results were justified.

I can tell you are a fast driver and are trying to be clean, accidents happen (WarriusZero, race 2) but at times it looks as if you are just stepping over the line and being a tad extreme :) There's been a couple of races where you have been at the centre of a dodgey move that has resulted in someone else coming off worse.

Like I say though, don't worry about it, overall this week went ok really without anything major, we all had the odd slip up, just be mindful of whats happening around you and keep it cool 👍

I can't remember the moment you're talking about but do remember being pushed into the barrier in the first few corners from behind and going from first to last. any feedback is welcomed and taken on. the way I've raced is if someone is trying to overtake on a straght i will close the gap slowly and make the person behind work to get around. if i'm coming from behind into a corner i will take the inside line if its not closed and make the person in front have to change their line. i don't think i'm driving around bashing into people, but struggle to understand when clean racing means everyone has to drive the same lines like a scale electrix?

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have you as you are than driving like a 'drone' I'm just saying that I don't want you to end up on the wrong end of a complaint, if someone feels you were a bit rough with regards to your driving style - and thats what it is, its your driving style and I applaud you for it. It brings another level of realism to the CORE GT Series.

You are correct, we don't want the slot-car racing of the AI, but a varied field of drivers, just be aware some may feel that too much rubbing will be cause for complaint. For me, like I said before, I can see that you are fast, and with that comes an enthusiasm that looks like you are being aggresive. The good thing about our group is, we welcome that, if anything we all know to watch out for Barnezy (and not in a bad way) that we will be tested when meeting on the track, be it trying to pass, or defending our own position.

All in all, I'm just passing on some friendly advice/observations. Its all about fun at the end of the day, we're all GT fans, and enjoy the banter of the online mode :) 👍

I appreciate the feedback and take it on board. i am starting to get quicker as I only started racing online a couple of months ago when I got a wheel, and only started settings the cars up a couple of weeks ago so its a steep learning curve at the mo. what i struggle with at the moment is composure when fighting to gain a place or when at the front. this will get better with experience so thanks for your patience with me.

What i would ask is if anyone has an issue with my driving, to please message me and tell me what I did wrong and when as it's the only way I'll learn. I am aggresive/competitive as that's what it's all to me.

Cheers 👍

R2-3.jpg

The second pack of stanepoke, ade3210 & R063R_GL4560W approach THE turn to end all turns!
R2-5.jpg

As stanepoke runs wide below, Barnezy318 is the first to be bitten!
R2-6.jpg

ade3210 forcing the issue...as stanepoke braces for returning to the black stuff!
R2-7.jpg

Barnezy318 is merely a spectator...WATCH OUT WarriusZero!!!
R2-7a.jpg

CONTACT!!! WarriusZero just ran out of road...as ade3210 makes up 2 places!
R2-8.jpg

As Barnezy318 rights himself, WarriusZero is left on the grass!
R2-9.jpg

Close racing is order of the day for stanepoke, PSN-OmniusALX & ade3210
R2-10.jpg

And it doesn't get much closer than this...or does it?
R2-11.jpg

Is that tyre smoke over the summit? Is that Barnezy318 locking up behind ade3210???
R2-12.jpg

Over the summit....Its R063R_GL4560W locking up
R2-13.jpg

R063R looks on as stanepoke, PSN-OmniusALX ade3210, WarriusZero and Barnezy318 pass...hold on is that Barnezy318 in trouble too!?!?!?
R2-14.jpg

R2-19.jpg

Back onto the grass goes stanepoke followed this time by PSN-OmniusALX
R2-20.jpg

stanepoke & PSN-OmniusALX back into the hunt as tyres regain their grip as R063R_GL4560W closes the gap
R2-21.jpg

Was it the tyres? Or was it the pressure PSN-OmniusALX was piling on stanepoke?
R2-22.jpg

In all the excitement, R063R follows suit, allowing PSN-OmniusALX to increase the gap
R2-23.jpg

From the smoke off R063R's spin, appearing from the mist like a Viking Army, stanepoke takes the gifted position!
R2-24.jpg

Only to run wide AGAIN at the same turn as before, allowing R063R to reclaim his place
R2-25.jpg

It's surely in the bag for geordie139? jameysbograt couldn't possibly catch up now, could he?
R2-30.jpg
