Wallbanger's "Tons of Fun"(Final Round Underway)

Okay I think I've updated all links to tunes that have been posted so far. If I've missed one let me know. (Will have Shmogt's tune linked in a couple hours getting both tune and shared car ironed out. Remember I'll be hosting his car.)

Also think I've got everyone listed who has volunteered as Test Drivers along with the group/s they've volunteered to test. If I've missed someone or not listed the group/s properly tell me so I can fix it.

…
…Though Krenkme's R35 is taunting me to go completely berserk with POWERRR and call on an old friend…why did you have to enter a R35?!?!

It was free :). If I had to pay for one I wouldn't have entered a R35. I was working on a 300c, and a M5, when PD gave it to me I thaught I'd try it :scared: ... plus my daughter wanted me to, and she's too cute to say no. :dopey:

I want to change mine to my M5 now :irked: still not very good though...
I'll give you a one time pass on your tune but please make sure this is what you really want.

Remember it's not all about lap times here so make sure the car has the handling and looks you want.

All your cars I've driven have been very good so I'm confident whatever you decide to go with will be another great tune.:D

The thing is, whilst I picked the Infiniti for sheer uniqueness, it really is terrible as far as competitiveness is concerned. I really like my M5, and it has a very unique look, although it's tune is not 100% original, and I think it could be more fun to drive for our testers. I shall edit out the tune in my original post for now, I can't get on tonight...

Unfortunately GT5 lacks the ability to make this, or I would consider something else...

Well if you wanted to go for unique looks there is always the Aventine!:lol:

you have just given my idea away. I was using an aventine. just fine tuning it now and ive gotta say, what a motor! it handles like its on rails and kinda looks sporty. One question, how do i get my photos on here? Is there a guide or anything?

Great to see others willing to think as far outside the box as I've been known to do!👍👍

As for photos I'd say use a free photo host like photobucket or piccasa. Once you upload the photos there its very easy to get the link to them and post it here using the
paste it here.

1. take photo

2. from main GT5 screen click camera icon. You will be in the photo album or whatever. There will be an option to export your photo to XMS or something like this.

3. Quit GT5. Go get a thumb drive. Find the .jpg of your photo in your PS3 folders. Using triangle you will be able to copy your photo, it will then ask you to insert your thumb drive to PS3 (if you haven't already)

4. Copy the .jpg to your PC.

5. register with photobucket or similar if you need and then you can upload the .jpg online

6. from photobucket and most likely other similar sites you will be able to find a line of code to click on associated with your .jpg, this will work the same as highlighting the line of code and using Ctrl^C to copy it. It will look something like:

(IMG)http://photobucket.com/ttz/sheephead/bestcar.jpg(/IMG)

7. Paste the line of code in a post. Ctrl^V or right click and paste from menue.

No need to copy to thumb drive if your ps3 is connected to the internet. Go into the photos on the main ps3 screen and it gives you the option to upload the pictures to the internet. I believe the default is to picasa which is a free photo host connected to a g-mail/Google account.

Cheers fellas. I'll have my entry posted maybe tonight before I go start nightshift but if not it will be tomorrow morning. The test drivers won't be ready for this one :)

Looks like you and I will be together in the back of the speed pack dragonthing. That subie barely weighs in, but drives like a lincoln town car!

Named after the infamous American Rodeo Bull that had an uncanny knack for busting peoples faces. This Italian bull is more easily driven/ridden but unleash its 884 hp at the wrong time and be prepared to meet a wall. Like most of my tunes this car works best with a slow-in fast-out technique. Brake early let the car coast along preferred line then unleash the fury on exit.

New tune 12/14/11 on share now

Nice handling. nice brakes. Soft smooth ride.

wildheart90
Excellent at Monza. fast and smooth through the high speed corners. precise at London. engine sounds alright.

CyKosis1973 Jaguar XKR Coupe '10
Good on cold tyres. firm feeling, good control out of low speed turns.

oopssorryy Lexus GS300 '00
Great to drive, nice engine sound. feels kinda slow at Monza. fantastic fun to rev this car an chuck it around at London.

Rallywagon C-Fresh Tuned Subaru Legacy B4 Blitzen '00
Great tune. It starts to get just a little loose at London when you push hard.

CSLACR
Excellent tune. Very fast. Good brakes. Good at corner entry, mid corner and exit. Good job to harness the V10 and have a car that drives nice. The settings look like a bag of spanners but it works! So well done!

Indy Racerfan SLR AMG "Breaking Wrist"
A masher-proof tune. It makes the car a little boring maybe.

DigitalBaka
Great at Monza. A little low on power.

madmyk
Not a bad Veyron. Fast.

Jackthalad
Nice tune. I like the handling at Monza. You can really push hard at London. Lots of fun. Nice engine sound.

sean10mm Audi RS6 Avant '08
Great brakes and corner entry at Monza. Excellent stability. Great drive. Great at London.

tris_73
Drives great at Monza. Loose under brakes/corner entry but not too much. Fun to punt around at London, I got my fastest time just from messing about. Awesome engine sound at 4000rpm and plenty of mid range power. I was shifting early just enjoy it.

ACSR421
Drives great at Monza. Drives good at London.

krenkme Nissan GT-R SPECV (GT Academy Special)
Good through turns at Monza. Good speed. A little wandering on straights but that doesn't matter. The most oversteering AWD at London, almost too much. Drives great for something this heavy. Good tune.

Motor City Hami
Great engine. Great drive at Monza. Fun at London.

Shmogt Bugatti Veyron 16.4 2009
Bad tune.

nomis3613
Good tune.

Onboy123
Pretty cool.

Dragonthing BMW
Bad oversteer, especially mid corner at Monza. Drives fine at London.

Johnnypenso
A tiny bit of understeer at corner entry. Loads of grip at corner exit. Fast. Nice at Monza.

MrGrado Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09
Excellent at Monza. Good at London. Fast and fun. Easy to lose control when driving extremely hard at London. It might be setup a touch too squidgy.

praiano63 Maserati Gran Turismo S '08
Excellent at Monza. Great Driving experience. Good at London.

sheephead99
Bad oversteer at Monza. I couldn't apply throttle at all from apex to exit on some corners, making it slow and no fun to drive. The tune didn't seem half as bad at London.

Are you sure no aids at all ? the way it's on share ? ABS 0 ,i can't finish a lap at london without loosing 2 sc than with ABS1 .....

Yeah sorry, there's no ABS.

Edit: actually the OP reads a little ambiguous as to whether the ABS can be set by testers as they please.

Sorry wasn't trying to be ambiguous.

The only aids allowed for Test Drivers is ABS1 and Driving Line. When testing all cars in a Group must be tested with the same aids.

Track settings are for Grip Reduction Real and Tire Wear/Fuel Consumption on.

Mechanical Damage can be set to off.

Well alright, I will take my car off share for a moment to apply ABS1 for the benefit of the testers.
While having it set by the tuner is a big help for test drivers, its something that is easily checked and set by the test drivers.

Spec II gave us tire wear as an option for offline practice.

At least on some tracks...

London is only grip condition. :) Here on my PS3 with no DLC but with the last update 4.0 i think. The one from yesterday.

Odd since I have the option to turn tire wear/fuel consumption on or off on all my practice tracks and have had that option since spec II.:odd:

Trying to decide whether I should just concede on weight as I'm already middle of the pack and go all out speed out try to compromise. :scared: Already blew my Cherry Bomb out of the water with my latest creation so the ol' RS6 shall wait for another day. Hard for me to fathom being faster in an FR than my trusty AWDs. :odd:
