RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Well to be honest C-ZETA was a massive doofus to my eyes too when the ruckus happened but hey everybody deserves a second chance :3

It's actually a confirmed fact that God drives a purple JZA80 Supra. :D

Anyway, a few days ago I showed you all my Illest JDM Hellaflush Stanced To Frig Z32 going sideways, saying that it will be replaced with a GT86. Well here it is, the Illest JDM Hellaflush Stanced To Frig GT86. :D

It's not finished yet. Hopefully it will be by the time the next drift seasonals come out. :D

 Durr hell?? How much power again? And it looks like fun, any tune to come? :D

239bhp, 1215kg. May up the power a bit more because it struggles to hold long drifts like the Z32 could.

Maybe. The settings are my own but I've based them off of Z-Spec's Z32 settings. If I did release a drift tune, I'd have to credit why_spyder.

Tuner Comments:
This is the NSX R1, a racing modified version of the Acura NSX built for racing hard tyres. The inherent flaws with the NA1 platform have been tuned out and as a result, the R1 can run with cars that are 20 years younger. The only problem is the 5-speed gearbox, we’re stuck with that. Sorry.

24th Oct 2011 - Spec II adjustments.

What can i say about this car? Firstly, thankyou so much for the tune, it was marvelous.

I had my NSX RM in my favourites list for some time, and was trying to get it setup very well, for the Tsukuba 9 hour endurance race. The problem with my tune, was that it kept sliding too much, and after the tyres wore to 10 or 15%, it would be really hard to drive.

This tune eliminated all my problems. As i was entering a very long race, i decided to adjust the brake balance to 4:1 as i was not going to be using ABS. After some practice laps, there car felt, almost perfect, the balance was beautiful, you would sweep past the corners, and could go hard on the throttle, without having to worry about losing it.

I took the corners at 70-80km/h on hard compounds, and had great traction coming out of the corner, for the whole life of a set of tyres.

The best thing i loved about the tune, was the tyre wear consistency, i was able to put it extremely consistent laps, at one stage, i got 5 laps within 1 tenths of each other. But also through the whole life of a set of tyres, the times would differe only 3 seconds or even 2.5 over the whole life.

The down part as mentioned is the speed, it is not very powerful, but your tune provides good gearing for great accelartion balance with minimal wheel spin, you are able to blast of from the corner in 1st gear, and make it to 4th gear and 205 km/h, before the last corner on tsukuba.

My best time of the race, was a 0.53:910 on a set of mediums. It made the Tsukuba 9 hour race very enjoyable, and i was able to appreciate the NSX even more because of this tune. It has very solid traction, great corner speeds, good accelartion, and it is a very well rounded car. And i tested it on trial mountain, and it killed many of my tuned Supercars, because of its sheer agility around corners.

Such a brilliant tune, very hard to fault it. My only complaint is the power, but you can't fix that.

Thanks for the review! Glad to see the NSX RM getting some love for once. :D Clearly choosing to tune it on hard compounds paid off, since it's become quite the endurance machine. I always find NSX's to be great tyre-savers in endurance races, plus they usually wear all 4 tyres at the same rate so the handling doesn't radically change after they wear a bit. It's a shame the Acura NSX is stuck with a 5-speed in GT5, with a 6th gear it would be able to hang with the newer Honda. But yeah glad it got you through those 9 hours, really happy with that. :D

Yeah like Goofboy said, no review, no tune. I wish people would read the first post before going straight to the request form.

Maybe I should make it like an easter egg hunt, where you need to read the post then somewhere in it there will be a clue as to where the form is, then in every paragraph there's another clue and another clue.

Srry next time i will really read. my bad. And u should put it after the part YOU NEED TO DO A REVIEW . if its not already :P

The exotic trio return and surprisingly, it's the SLS that didn't need any tweaks. The 458 and MP4 needed damper tweaks.

Yeah, I might just do that.

We still need to run your MP4 against my MP4...and I never finished that SLS LM tune to go with my SLR >_< anyone at all interested?

I'd need to put R1's on mine but that'll make up for the fact it's an offline tune to begin with.

Also here's some more updates. :D

I just raced the Spec I Enzo and won..... against lambos on high speed ring....... How did I do that with a major understeer monster?

Because the Spec I Enzo still works and PD fixed the brakes. That said, me and RJ are currently fixing it proper.

Ohhhh boy...... Dragonthing's words are coming back to haunt her. Here is a versus review for RoJ's MP4-Player and Dragonthing's MP4 LM.

After Dragon commented on the fact that someone should compare them, I took the liberty in doing so, as my come back to not doing this in so long. From standard overview, you can see that each car is different in design method. The main parts that stick out to me is that RoJ's car has an ECU Chip, a racing air filter, no exhaust increase, FC Transmission, no LSD and Sport: Soft Tires. On the other hand, Dragonthing has a only a semi-racing exhaust for a power boost, no FC Transmission, an LSD and Racing: Soft tires. This couldn't be anymore of a mismatched contest, so I put it on a course that is something alike, testing the cars on with both Sports: Soft Tires and Racing: Soft Tires... That track was The Top Gear Test Track.

First was RoJ's Car. I started using it and I noticed immediately, the car was a piece of 🤬 for handling, but it really had some power, hitting high numbers on what little straightaways the track had, while having some drifting fun. The original set up clocked in at 1:12.570. I then slapped on the RS tires, and instantly, a huge difference in handling, but it was still a piece of 🤬 when going around the track, spinning it's wheels a lot when it didn't need to. It still had the unique speed, but now magnified from the Racing Soft tires, but putting a sheep in a suit still makes it a sheep, for you can tell the car wasn't made for Racing tires, and you can easily feel it. The car clocked in at 1:08.262.

Since RoJ went first, it makes Dragonthing's tune have more pressure, as it prepares to go on to the track. The car was first outfitted with Sports: Soft tires. Into the first turn, it glided very easily threw, without putting up much of a fight. It was a nice, smooth feeling, compared to RoJ's flighty drifting car. The car, unfortunately, wasn't made to race with Sport tires on, and you could feel it, as the car was understeering a bit in the corners, and it hampered it's time. The vehicle clocked in at 1:12.954, coming up short in the Sports: Soft event. It was understandable, as RoJ's car was made for Sport: Softs, but now it had to venture into unfamiliar grounds, using Racing: Softs. As Dragonthing's MP4 started on the track, it was instantly noticed that the car was magnificent when turning, with beauty of a swan. The only thing it lacked, was power. As I raced against the shadow of RoJ's MP4, it was easily noticeable the car pulled away slowly but surely, but Dragonthing's car always caught back up when in the corners. The final time for Dragonthing's MP4 was....... 1:09.074.

With the times said, the winner by time was RoJ's Car, but it isn't done there. There is still handling to be talked about. By far, RoJ's car doesn't handle all too well, as it took me twice the amount of tries to even get a solid lap without making the lap invalided. Thus being said, I think we can all agree, Dragonthing's car was made for handling.

Where does this leave us? In a stalemate? Just about, but there is a tide turner and it is called; personal opinion. In the end, for this, personal opinion is all that is needed to choose a real winner. If you want a car that can handle great for a tight course? Go with the MP4 LM. If you want a car that can leave opponents in the dust in a straight, do with the MP4-Player. It was truthfully fun to use both of these, but best part is, as a person who has to choose, you don't got to. None of them have part that can't be taken out so you don't have to by an all new car just to have another kind. This has been my review of the MP4 Versus Battle. I hope you enjoyed and I will do another versus challenge in the future. Just give me two similar cars with the same parts that can't be removed, and you have a versus challenge.

You're welcome. :)
Finally these are now on the list. 👍
Yeah.

Well I did make a note that the MP4 isn't much of a race car and more of a hoonmobile. Hillarious that it ended up faster on racing tyres though. Secret weapon much? :sly: But yeah thanks for the comparison. 👍
Dont worry i will be doing a review for that here soon
Looking forward to it! 👍

Not only that.... it was faster on both Sports and Racing. It won Sports by 0.384 seconds, and won on Racing by 0.812 Seconds, so ever more power to it.

So, are there any other "What is better" Arguments going on I can dispute right here right now? :sly:

Yes. You can settle the dispute of which Goof Patrol member is the best at being a goof. Onboy, uMadson? or K-RZA. :dopey:

Aside from that, I don't think there's anything else.
