Where are the specs for the GT300 class? Hard to follow changes with so much chatter in this thread. Any chance you can update the OP with car specs, preseason race events, etc.?

GT300 regs aren't quite finalized, plus this is the qualifying thread. The current GT300 specs, which are at least very close to what will be run in the season, are listed in the OP of the main thread.

There stands that i have wished or choiced the impreza '03, but i have wished for the '08 :)

Yes I know, but your 1st and 2nd choices has been taken by faster pilots than you, so I'm forced to give you your 3rd choice --> Sub '03

Finally decided. Was going to wait and test some car specs but I'm just not going to have the time, sooooo.

Top 3 Car Choice: Autobacs Arta Garaiya '08, Subaru Cusco Dunlop '08, RE Amemiya RX7 '06

Will be nice to go back to the Garaiya since I drove it in Season 1 Pre-Season for a while and it was fun. I thought the Celica was very quick and good on its tyres for this season from pre-season at Laguna but was SO boring to drive, the Garaiya in comparison is a handful and fun :sly:

Interesting choice. Where'd you get the RX7 04 twist?

Would have chosen RX7 '04 as my #1 choice if i had one. :grumpy:

Hey Litchi, twistedfirework's giving me his RX7 '04. pls change my number 1 choice to rx7 '04. tnx. :)

yeah, or ask the car to an other driver who doesn't use it. This car cen be send to a friend ;)

Im going to spend all of tonight testing since I finaly have time to, I see the Weds Celica and 08 Garaiya are full which means I dont need to keep searching for that damned Celica and I have 2 less cars to test (Which is good :P). Although with what happened a few months ago (GT5 Data corruption) I still dont have the 03 Garaiya and 04 RX7. (I had them all before my data corrupted :()

I can send any cars to whoever needs them. However I can only send 1 per day. I am sending pinoy his tonight. Please request what you need here. To be fair though I will only send cars that people have been allocated for the season. Not just for testing. Sorry :(
With it only being 1 per day it would take forever to make sure everyone has every car.

Yeah ill deal dont worry Twisted, I mean I only had 2 cars to choose from in S2  (MR-S or 03 Garaiya).

I'll be testing the cars in a bit. Are the specs FINAL? I need to be sure these are the specs we will be using and no changes will be made so I can get confirm my car choice.

I have most, if not all, of the GT300 cars and at least some of the GT500 cars. If anybody is in a position where they don't have the car for the season please speak up. I am sure we are all itching to get our cars up to spec and tuned to our liking as soon as possible.

Just finished a short brief testing of the current specs. Track used was Nurburgring GP/F.
Cars were run with full aero by the way. Here is the little report:

GT-R: The best car on the track. Not the quickest on straight but very well balanced. There wasn't more oversteer than understeer and vice versa. Just a well rounded and balanced car.

Lexus Petronas/Denso: Well, in my opinion, it needs more power. The car feels great through the corners, but it doesnt push enough. It will destroy competition on tracks like Laguna but it will be destroyed at Daytona for example, or Indy. It feels smooth and doesn't want to fight you at slow corners but it feels slow. Could just be me.

Supra '97: Well, like stated before by others, this car loves to eat front tires. But it surprised me, I wasn't expecting it to be this good. It was slower than the GTR, but had around the same pace as the Lexus probably due to its straight line speed. It is fast on straights. However, it requires much more precision than the Lexus and it can give you quite a fight with its understeer. Felt great though.

350Z: This car, in my opinion, is NSX's twin brother/sister(some people call cars a "she"). A monster on straights, quick, but boy it tries to kill you on corners!! But just like the NSX, it can be very rewarding when mastered. If you can handle it, it's your best choice. Oh and it sounds great :)

I didnt review the NSX as I am not using that car no matter what specs are put into it. As for the specs in general, I am surprised. The cars feel much smoother to drive probably due to the lower HP(470, 469, 468). I say keep it at these HP/PP levels, much better to drive. Should be fun increasing HP and decreasing aero, vice versa. I feel the Lexus needs more power, but shouldnt be a big of a deal, I guess.

Great work, nice specs. I prefer slower cars :D

So, Cars will be decided by friday? so reg season next week?

So I haven't been back to this thread in a while. I've finally caught up and am I understanding correctly that we can change classes? I recently started a new job so I'm not sure at this point what kind of time I can commit to this series. It seems as if there are less people running GT300 and I'd have a better chance of getting into a real race if I bumped down to that class as I won't have much time to practice/qualify in the coming weeks. Is it cool if I do that?

To my knowledge you can change division/conference.
It will put you to the back of the line for car selection in your new division though.

So I ask this since Toyotsupra changed from PAL GT500 to PAL GT300 does that mean he would not get the 08 Subaru hes listed with now if 3 other people pick it?
