anyone agree with an email?? i think if everyone sends the same email to PD they will have to respond to this.. by either a quick update, or a message to at least all people who mailed them..
Update on the 18th, i dont see how they couldnt of addresed this issue, its a huge issue and they have had time to sort it out, the GT Planet Moderators said they had let PD know about the bug, and PD do look on sites like GT Planet all the time for feedback so in 4 days it may be fixed, i hope it is, so i myself and my league members can un suspend our league !!!
Not to be Mr. Negativity, but mass emailing PD is not going to get this fixed any faster. It assumes too many things that I don't think are true:
1) PD still doesn't know there is an issue.
2) PD knows but can't be bothered to do anything about it until prodded to a point of critical mass.
3) PD knows what caused this and can roll it back.
4) PD knows what caused this and can fix it by some other means.
5) Somehow telling someone to go faster will make them perform faster.
The bug is real. It is a major problem. Communication from PD on the subject would be helpful, but if we've learned anything over the past year plus it is that PD doesn't say much and that doesn't mean they aren't doing anything.

But ajns73, IMO Im sure PD can roll this back as we didnt have this bug a few updates ago, so they will be fully aware of what change they made that caused this
In effect the credibility of the racing is being compromised.
This is pants
Cjspencer77 and I ran our League vs league race (GBRC vs TAM).
All the races we did were ruined and meaningless.
In the first race we had some of the TAM guys running 1.15s in Q but strugled with 1.17s in race. A GBRC guy who did high 1.16s in Q won the race.
Second race we had a Q time of 1.31, yet the guy who was 2 seconds slower in the first race and was also more then 2 seconds slower in the last race was leading the race until he voluntarily quit the race.
Very real issue this.
I dont think its a bug,its been going on to long(for me example). And because of that, its very hard for PD to get trust on online racing back.Guestion:where have those Prologues Beginner,Intermediate,Expert car handling options gone?Do you think they were just a experiment which didnt go nowhere? They are in the game, you just dont know who has them.So every time you race online its a mix of different type off handling modells, and thats something to kill online racing(as a fair racing). But its a 'real driving' thing.Because of online,no better wheel for this game!G27 stays.
Absurd theory.
We have had amongst other things exactly the same issue, even testing on my own earlier my lap times did not match my times from a few days ago i mean seconds off not the odd tenth 122s turned into 124/5s on one track 124's to 128/9s on another visable loss of speed?? straights where 6th gear was needed barely peaked in 5th!! If anything its getting worse along with my paranoia.
What we've learnt over the past year is that Polyphony's acceptance testing of their product (and subsequent updates to) is non existent.
Even worse, there's so many websites across the net that can do the "acceptance testing" for them, but Polyphony seem to ignore these aswell.
Look at how much major companies pay Market Research companies for feedback from maybe 100-1000 customers, how much time this takes to organise and complete and the fact this infomation can often be distorted and diluted.
THEN.
Look at Polyphony - they have hundreds of thousands of people giving them feedback, for FREE, instantly, at a touch of a button, 24hrs a day yet they choose to ignore this??
A few years back I worked for a Marketing Agency managing research projects giving feedback for large multi-national automotive brands (Mercedes, Vauxhall, Mazda, Fiat, Range Rover etc)- they'd pay £25-100,000+ for research projects from a few hundred customers. Polyphony get this, and a whole lot more for free and still don't listen.
Polyphony are in such a privalged position it's unbelievable. Some companies pay agencies to trawl facebook for info useless and distorted info about their products. Polyphony just have to switch on a PC and go on the 'net and get the kind of feeback other companies can only dream about, or pay huge amounts of money for, with only a fraction of the customers Polyphony can access.
Polyphony are absolutely useless - complete imbeciles.
If so - where's the E30 M3 that was top of the most wanted car in the GT5 poll on this site?????????????
You telling me a company as big as Polyphony can't get an E30 M3 and model it in a year??
We get race suits and helmets instead??
pffffft....
Get it into your heads - POLYPHONY DO NOT LISTEN, they are laughing at us for being mugs to carry on supporting their product.
Sending a mass Email petition airing our grievances and frustration - what have we got to loose, nothing.
I'm up for it.

During the Tokyo race you mention JB, i ran a 1.51.5 during quali but in the race the best i could manage was a 1.54.7. During quali i could take turn 3 (right hand sweeper) at 90mph, during the race i was sliding out at 80mph. Car felt bad whole lap but that turn was the worst. Did a connection test and had D/L speed 18.7 and U/L speed of 2.8
I thought this issue was a hoax until it happened to me last night.
A 33 page thread about it isn't good enough?
Anyway, ran some Toyota 86 Spec races last night with a 10-car field and only ran into a couple issues. One player lagged out the first race, and the second race a couple drivers couldn't see each other on track. That was only a problem for one lap when they were together.
Other than that, lap times were spot on with practice and qualifying.

My suggestion is to stick to smaller grids until there is an update.
WRP001
Right. Our group (WRS-Online) has had some great races since the last update. We've experienced this bug on a mass scale exactly "once" when we had 14 guys on the grid. I think what we know is if you try to run more than 12 you are pretty much asking for trouble. 11-12 is borderline and connection/driver dependent. 10 or less drivers will probably result in good racing, there may be individual drivers issues (invisible driver or lag) just like there always have been.
My suggestion is to stick to smaller grids until there is an update. If you have 14-20 guys that want to race you may have to change the event structure. We've started running split grids with pre-quali to place drivers into divisions or a sprint/feature two stage bracket structure to keep the grids small, but still allow all drivers to race.
Just experience the glitch again. Was in a 14 player race at high speed ring and in practice I was running around a 59-1.00.xxlap and in the race I was running a 1.03-1.04. My car lost a lot of top speed and could barely get over 180mph.
