LAST ENTRY MOMENT!

My Volkswagen Kombi (or SambaBus, as known in the game) 1962.
Painted in white and red combination, it's a rear mounted engine that produces 206bhp with rear traction, giving lots of fun. Perfect to give the daily Civic Si a run for it's money, as well a perfectly car for a long trip.

I installed every mod possible in it, thus hitting 206bhp and wheels used are the Boyd Coddington wheels. No body kits in it because they are not allowed.

Me too. I was going to submit an entry at the last moment. :sly: But I don't have access to Gran Turismo right now so I fail.

I have access, but my car show composition is too complex to be done in a few minutes :P

I had over 393 pictures to choose. I went with the 1st thing that I saw, which was the VW (my dad always want to show to his friends the VW I made in GT5, so I kinda got an affection to it, I must say )

kennylmao
I took a glance at the title and thought I saw "premium 3-way giveaway..." my dirty mind
That thread is in The Infield. :P

^^

We'll have to wait until the OP gets online, or when one of the "secret" judges reports the results.

Damn i only saw this thread now, oh well good luck guys. :)

Great idea Nicksfix 👍

You won!

Damn I wish I had known about this, oh well, I think that Skyline deserves to win... sort of, it is using Forza, which may be cheating? IDK, and I think otherwise the VW bus would be my choice, and the standard would be the uhh Accord Coupe (cbf going back to check, it was BRG coloured, so you know).

Sit tight guys !!!

I am awaiting a decision from the man.

Perhaps you can organize another car show like this again? Not that it'll make up my forgotten submission, but because I think this is a bit fun actually.

Well, it is a car made by PD, and is Present in GT5, and the pictures were made using photomode:dopey:

When he's got it all sorted he'll post the results. Until then, sit tight.

Hi all, please accept my apologies for the delayed announcement! :embarrassed:

Before continuing, I'd like to thank Nicksfix for organizing this competition, and I'd also like to thank each of you who participated. Here's my selection of winners:

WINNER - BEST STANDARD CAR
themartlab's Honda Accord Euro-R '00
MontAsoAsphalte.jpg

The early GT games opened up my automotive world, and gave me a completely new appreciation for cars which I had otherwise considered pedestrian. This Accord reminds me of those days and those games I enjoyed many years ago, and to me, embodies the old-school spirit of Gran Turismo.

WINNER - BEST PREMIUM CAR
machete-man's Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Nur '06
66452870.jpg

As with the Standard award-winner, this GT-R - and specifically, its livery - reminds me of a second, more modern era of GT in the early part of the last decade, when Polyphony Digital and the Gran Turismo brand began to mature and expand with cross-marketing efforts from some of the world's largest and most important car brands. This coming-of-age for the franchise was an important turning point that eventually brought us to where we are today, with endeavors like GT Academy and the Mercedes Live Race; important recognition of this video game series us fans should not take for granted.

WINNER - BEST OF SHOW
NascarManiaco99's Volkswagen Samba Bus
vwkombi2.jpg

This Samba Bus is the epitome of the type of fun, quirky car that distinguishes Gran Turismo from most other driving games. By tipping its hat in respect to international car culture in this way, GT5 brings an air of sophistication that you don't usually see in a video game. Its an important part of what defines the Gran Turismo brand and is what continues to attract me and so many other people to it. 10 years from now, you probably won't remember the Lamborghini Murcielago made its debut in the GT series in GT5, but you probably will be able to recall tossing this little bus around the Top Gear test track.

Congratulations to all the winners!

Thanks!! Great to see my Accord reminded you good old GT days!

As I'm already a premium member, I would like to gift my prize to my friend v-fal.

Thanks again and congrats to the other winners!
