Thats awesome that! A real tyre!! Had it been used by anyone we'd know?? 👍

Got it off eBay a few year ago,its supposedly from Coulthards 96 McLaren but there's no proof, certainly the real deal though. :)

...And completely off topic, but since i know there's a few F1 fans here,i've finally got around to finishing my coffee table.

That's fantastic!
Made me think of years back, where I had an opportunity to buy the rear tyre of Gerhard Berger's Ferrari driven in practice on Spa Francorchamps (with certificate) ... I didn't. :(
And now I see this, great stuff Flaw. And a little Damon Hill tribute. "We should hang out." ;)
Just a little bit of envy. :) Cheers.

ok buraspo, 18 is yours! R063r!
thx 👍
I like to use 27 and 46 also :) , so I would change number if needed . 46 not because its doctor's :) but because its 4 - day of death + 6 - day of birth of some person .

I still have to hit somebody up for the Eifel created tracks, but i guess its easiest to get them tomorrow when everybody is around.

And for my Lotus, i forgot to mention it but i'm running it on white+green wheels

You don't need to worry about the NPS (Custom track) just yet. Its not until next week when we race there :)

I'll post the first track on Sunday so you will all have a week to practice at your own pace. Then Week 3 will introduce another NPS track and the Lotus to season 3

Great practice session tonight, 1:56.9xx well happy with that. See you all tomorrow...👍👍👍

I've put you down as 46 if thats ok??? :)

A little bit off topic, but not only did Lotus post the fastest time at the Barcelona F1 test yesterday, they will be entering this years Le Mans series with the Evora and a new LMP2 car.

As well as a return to FIA European rally championship.

This IS good news, not much of an F1 fan but I DO enjoy my yearly session of Le Mans so I will be looking out for the Lotus!! (so whats the LMP car named?)

AND a bit of a rally fan so it goes without saying its good to see more manufacturers coming back to rallying!!!

Best Evo time - 1:58:572 👍 - granted not as fast as some of you, but it should make for an interesting event around Monza this weekend ;)

For anyone who hasn't took a look, this is what you should see if you click the NPS Northumberland Map link in my sig 👍

Map.png

It is the Google interactive map of the 'fictitious' locations of all the current tracks with descriptions of the NPS :)

Flippin 'eck, buraspo...... 27 and 46 are the other numbers I would go for as well! Lol. 27 coz it's the day of my birth, and 46 coz I'm a bit partial to Days of Thunder.... Cole Trickle #46.

Are you my twin??? Here's a simple check - are you approx 5'7" with a shaved head and a devastatingly beautiful face......?

Thanks to everyone for making it a 'full house' tonight for the first race of the new season and the new layout of the CORE GT! 👍

The single make and longer races are sure to make not only each race 'feel' more like a race event, but also this will add to the whole championship as we progress each week!

(and how easy is it to have a spreadsheet to calculate the points/standings!? - ade!)

Well what a race! Fast and clean, just the way we like them :) The 'new guys' were on the ball and it was great to see buraspo return too - and what a great battle we had mid race!!!

So it's looking like we're all on pace, granted jamesy, geordie & sers were line leading, but still, after 30 laps, the overall splits were looking good considering. Special mention goes out to trotter....put that race down to experience, you had me at a loss after my last pit-stop, I was trying to workout why you were behind me as I hadn't seen you all race, and with me day-dreaming and watching you in my rear view mirror, this lead me to miss my braking point AND with cold, cold tyres.....but the next 7 laps or so were one hell of a race for me to only catch you on lap 30!

Good racing all round I think, well done everyone!!! 👍 👍 👍

The results (spreadsheet) will be posted on page 1 to make it quicker to find rather than having links all over the place

I can only say that was Mental! What a race. I have watched the replay, and just wish I could have kept the pace I had for the first 6 laps. Jamesy and myself swapped 1st and 2nd positions too many times to remember. I made my pitstop far too early (lap 12), and by lap 30 the tyres had fell off completely. But in the end I finished 4th, and only 16 seconds behind the winner. Great performances from the new racers, especially sersjanten90 who I battled with for most of the later part of the race. Thanks Omnius, S3 Rocks.

yes it was a great battle with ade

I'm looking forward to more races, I'm pleased you chose to join in with my series, I've always been on the lookout for good clean racers 👍 top man!

 I know it was Monza, and in a tight race it can happen, just be careful with your cornering

:)

And your high speed breaking points :dunce:

I'm already looking forward to next weeks race.

PS: You got my number wrong in the scoresheet, it should be 48.

So I have! I'll get that changed :) Looking forward too!! The Evo may require a few tweaks to its setup for Round 2 :sly:

yes ominus i will remember that. Was not sure of it in the beginning. Cool to race with you

Thats OK, I think we all had a few rough corners but settled down as the race panned out

[Update]
You have all probably seen the leaderboard table on page 1, since the way GTP displays certain resolution pictures, I've cut down the table by 'Tiers' so we can all read the text in the spreadsheet.

The full table will be posted at the end of the season.

I'm very pleased with the last race here too . I lost about 25 seconds to 1st and I think 15 of them was possible not to lose :)
Noticed that Omnius was very excited with the position battle with me , thx for the comments , but :) it was a real headache for me , I had just exit pits and at once been ovetaken by you . Ok , I thought , 1 lap cold tires then I need to go away , but using a sleapsteram on this track is crucial , and you made a good use of it , so eventuallyt that is how I lost another 10 seconds . If you was in some team with someone , I would surely say- fantastic teamwork .

I would love to repost this replay to my facebook page if you post it to youtube.

See you on Spa , looking forward for some practice there , so if anyone is up for some , just post here > I'll be following this forum.

Last nights race was superb, cant wait for next weeks battles at Spa, and then the Evora's for the club racing.👍👍

It's not Spa next week, one more Championship race on a new NPS track then the Club Race. Speaking of which, the Military Road SuperPrix track is now available to download from my GT5 Profile 👍

TSR Spa is Round 4 :)

It was a very good race! Finally feels like a proper championship!

Only 40 seconds from 1st to 8th!!!

You'll be back I'm sure! Shame you're missing next week - a new NPS track - still if your back for round 3 its the Evora's turn! :)
