TT 35: Laguna Seca (SUSPENDED) & Chamonix West. [Post 1 for tunes!]

It's good to see my setup helped quite a few people out. Personally I keep reloading my UCD trying to find a Lancer EVO VIII RS '03. I'm pretty sure I could go maybe 0.2/0.3secs faster with the EVO X if I could piece together 4 good sectors, 1:35.4xx is possible with the Evo X and the setup I posted but, I think to get into the low 1:35s an Evo VIII RS '03 is needed.

Most people probably already know this already but, just in case:

If you're looking for a car that only appears in the UCD, you can get the UCD to refresh quickly by going into Licence test and loading 5 consecutive licence tests, then quit out and go back to the UCD, it will have refreshed completely. For every licence test you load the UCD refreshes 6 cars. The UCD only holds 30 cars, so load 5 licence tests=30 refreshed cars

Hey, thanks for your setup. Within 10laps I got to 98th. Probably been pushed down a bit as it was a few hours ago.

I have a couple of evo8 rs '03 if you want me to send you one. My psn is Lou8ball im online now.

Edit:

I also had a question about the oil change. Was watching a few of the top 10 videos and the oil light seems to be on in the speedo. Is it faster to run when the oil needs changing? Does it let you increase the pp on engine or weight to counteract the drop in power from worse oil?

What's the best car for this event?

PS. Guys, let's take over this event, let's fill up top 10 with GTP_ :sly:! :D
I'm up for that.

Thanks for the offer Lou but one just turned up in my UCD so I have one now, thanks anyway.

As for the dirty oil question. I'm not 100% sure on this one but, it seems that if the oil is dirty you would ordinarily be losing bhp/torque and pp but, when it's a time trial that has a PP restriction you can get more bhp out of a car for the same pp versus a car that has fresh oil...one of the other guys could probably explain this better:dopey:

Hello my friends,

I also wonder what car is the fastest, or the '03 RS Lancer Evolution X GSR PP '07?...

Anyway know that my car is in sharing, please do me a friend request to use it, it will be happy to help! 👍

I missed several times 1'34'9xx yesterday I still had a 1'34'995 in the red for nothing, I was not happy!..

Congratulations to all, by the way if Twissy could put his car sharing would be nice, but like to try it, although I doubt it's faster to do...

Good weekend, I stay here again on Monday! :)

Regards,
Yinato.

Ps: Amo is very fast, it is not a cheater and is fair play normally, the fault is PD...

Mr P
Yep, dead oil = faster car :)

To true Mr P, Because additives, and even motor oil itself, break down during normal engine operation, used motor oil has a lower viscosity than new motor oil. I.e the oil is not as thick, so allowing engine components to move more freely( but with the downside of giving less protection ) .

Sorry PD never drove Amo's car way off the track to gain extra tenths... he did! and he will again :dopey:

Blame all the gun companies for making guns but they don't kill people it's the person in control at the given moment ;)

He's old news anyway! cheats are not worth talking about day after day... let him fizzle away and come back as some other new and improved clean racer as his name is mud here now imo :sly:

Tried sending fr. Your list is full. Would like to try your car.

Amo is a very generous person who does not hesitate to assist in setup and lend cars to perform these challenges.

He bit a piece of track at the beginning of Laguna ...
Oh my god, do you think he has earned as much as Diogo?

Cut it or not, it will be before you.
This is Podyphony solve this problem.
Meanwhile, we adapt to the errors of the latter.

Cordially.

I will set my evo 10 to online in abit, so you can try it Yinato. I think there is possibility of .1xx, just need to clean the corkscrew up. I will try your Yellow Evo RS aswell in abit

I've tons of work to do, I won't get to try again.
I'm just happy I fought the urge to turn on AS for once.

Good luck everyone

Looking at how much times have gone down I take it you are all running on dirty oil?

I will have another go at this after the FA Cup final :)

Amo must have a great setup if he can get that time with traction control on 5

Not only that. Watch his (and all other's in the top 10) lap @ Chamonix. That's what most of us are angry about. And watch the posts about corner cutting in the Academy thread.

And for me it's not OK just because the lap time is white. I have a different view, I wouldn't do EVERYTHING just to be in a better position in the leader board.

Right, PD in in the position to fix it. But everyone with a (in my opinion) "correct" understanding of racing wouldn't drive that way. It's just rediculous.

Attention,

I don´t know how to tune, i just tried different values to suit my driving style and i guess it´s not that bad :sly:

If anybody wants i can also put my car to share.

Tune looks good, I would change:
Camber 0,0
Toe -0.20, -0.40
AntiRoll Bars 1,5

LSD looks nice, have you tried lower the front acceleration sensitivty?

Nice Driving man, thanks for sharing

Yes please, I would love to give your setup a go later, it will save the confusion of trying to translate your language for the tune :sly:

Great time you have Joao.

Watched some replays and the dirty oil seems to be the way to go

Edit: Just put it up to share, I have you on my friends list already 👍

Thx for posting the setup Joao, i will give it a try hopefuly, i just found a VIII RS '03 in the UCD! :D

Thanks Joao, the tune looks good. I haven't tried ballast so maybe that's the way to go.

I have absolutely no clue how you know what settings to change without trying the tune first.

Nice find Mike, now get your GTP tag there :sly:

Thanks Wes, at first tried with aero, but without it and full ballast is much faster.

Anyone notice the Elise RM in 5th place at Chamonix? Also if you watch the replay theres no 'shortcut' taken. Unvelievable driving!!

Edit: Don't follow his ghost, the game will freeze.

We are using the same car, and I can see from the figures he was aiming for an oversteering balance (same as me). I spent some time trying to get it just right, so offered some friendly tips.

Thanks for the fr and letting me use your car. Appreciate it very much. For the life of me, I could not get a good tune on the car. I tried your car for about 15 min and it felt alot better than anything I had come up with. With more track time, I'm sure I can improve my time. Thanks again my friend, your generosity is greatly appreciated. Peace.

Jonas (Yanaran) is already lurking :scared: let´s see if he thinks is still driving the 787B from week 63 :dopey:

Thanks KB, Which car did you try?
I have both on share, but the GSR is easier to achieve a nice lap.
Hoolidaz said a 1:35.2 or .3 is possible. (I did 35.7)

I just didnt get time to tune the Evo VIII. It may be slightly faster??
but mine needs a better tune(to beat the GSR).
