Team Morphine is proud to present its own celebration of the Le Mans 24h race.
This will be a 2.4h (2h24min) race of La Sarthe 2009 / Change Weather / Change Time for LMP1 and GT categories on June 16th 2012.
Conditions will be set to be as realistic as possible.
Only clean and respectful drivers will be accepted.

Regulation
I. General Aspects
One-race event, with a 2.4h duration (2h24min) in the circuit of La Sarthe, celebrating the day of the 80th edition Le Mans 24h race on the 16th and 17th of June 2012.

Maximum power 900cv (887bhp)
Maximum power 650cv (641bhp)
IV. Enrollment
You can sign up for this event:
You must provide a photograph of the car you want to use in the event. You may have to choose a car of a given class, depending on the number of existing subscribers in each class.
V. Event Conditions
The race will start at 3PM (game time) and time will be accelerated to 10x in order to complete one cycle of 24 hours. The weather will be the closest possible to reality.

VI. Qualifying
Two qualifying sessions will be held before the main event (see calendar).
Each qualifying session will consist of an 11 laps race in which the drivers will have 10 laps to set the fastest lap . At the end of lap 10, the Pace Car will come out for a slow lap, during which overtaking is forbidden.
The conditions are the same as the main event, except for tire wear, which will be turned off and damage, which will be set to light.
Everyone who wishes to participate in the event must take part in at least one qualifying session.
The best lap time of the two qualifying sessions will determine your starting grid position.
VII. Final standings
The final standings will be divided by category and divulged after viewing the replay, confirmation of the mandatory pit stops and respect for other rules.

Event start: once you're cleared to enter the track please wait in line after pit exit, according to the starting order above. Don't complete any lap.
The race will be set to 50 laps, but the event ends when the race clock hits 2h 24min. You will then complete the lap you're on, and as soon as you cross the finish line you have to pull over to the right of the track and stop behind the car in front of you (see Event Conditions above). Don't move until you're cleared to do so.
As soon as you're cleared to move, you're wellcome to finish the remaining laps for experience, credits or whatever, or just get some well-deserved sleep
Don't forget the mandatory 3 minute stop! (see Event Conditions)

V. Event Conditions

- Pit stop window from 1h to 1h30 race time;
- The opening and closing of the pit stop window will be announced during the event;
- Youre allowed to change tires and refuel;
- You must enter the pits, select desired tires and fuel and press the pause button;
- You must then wait 3 minutes, counting from the moment your car touches the floor again after the pit service, before you can resume the race;
- If your stopping time is less than 3 minutes but more than 2 minutes, then 2 laps will be subtracted from your total number of laps when the race is completed;
- If your stopping time is less than 2 minutes, you will be disqualified.
- Use this time to stretch your legs, drink water or go to the bathroom that could be crucial!

- The white flag (last lap) will be displayed via microphone or chat as soon as the race time hits 2h24min.
- The checkered flag (end of race) will be displayed as soon as the race leader crosses the finish line after the white flag is displayed.
- The winning driver must then stop and pull over at the right end of the road, immediately after the exit of the pits. The following drivers must then stop behind the previous car, in order of arrival. All overtaking is strictly forbidden after having crossed the finish line.

IX. Penalties
- Only players whose registration is approved may stay in the lounge;
- Anyone who does not fully comply with the rules of this event will be disqualified;
- Whoever disturbs the smooth running of the event will be kicked from the lounge;
- Whoever demonstrates a persistent unsportsmanlike conduct will be disqualified and may be asked to abandon the lounge;
- Whoever doesn't make the mandatory pit stop for "pilot exchange during the scheduled window (see event conditions) will be disqualified;
- Should you transpose the solid line just off the pits, 1 lap can be removed from your total number of laps, with the consequent adjustment of the final standings;
- Should you transpose the solid line just off the pits and deliberately blocking faster cars that come on the track, 2 laps may be subtracted total number of laps, with the consequent adjustment of the final standings;
- If an accident results from the above-mentioned situation, the guilty player may be disqualified.
X. Other considerations
- The qualifying sessions aim to determine the eligibility of players to participate in the main event as well as the starting order.
- In the event of a player's internet connection failure, it will be considered a mechanical failure, and the player ranked as DNF (Did Not Finish).
- In the event of the server's internet connection failure, the race will be resumed as soon as possible. The resumed race will have a rolling start and the starting order will be the same as the ranking of the interrupted race The differences between the drivers in the interrupted race be taken into consideration for the final standings.
- Since this is a multiclass event, slower drivers are asked not to block or hinder faster drivers, even if being transparent.
- A third qualifying session may be held on June 15th 2012 if necessary. The same conditions will apply.
