In that case ...
One thing I want you to be aware of off the bat, we're very concerned about connectivity and lag issues in S.N.A.I.L. Neither is any fun for anyone, who it happens too and who's trying to help get it sorted out.
Being from across the pond, if you experience connection or lag issues while racing with us on Sunday night, we'd ask that you respectfully withdraw from the lounge. It doesn't always happen, but forewarned is forearmed, thanks.
We run a clean league by enforcing the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and we expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both.
I'll add you to the drivers list. Please run the Time Trial Combination in this post and Private Message your time to my GT Planet account prior to 10:00 P.M. EDT Saturday July 21st. If you're not familiar with running time trials in GT5, this post has an excellent explanation of how to do just that.
The time you send will help us determine which Division you'd be best to start in. We do as much as we can to make sure everyone gets involved in some close, clean racing.
If you can't race on a Sunday, please give us at least 24 hours notice by posting in this forum, it helps the Sunday Race Directors out.
PSN friend requests will be sent to you from SNAIL_Division1, SNAIL_Division2 and SNAIL_Division3. Their lounges are where we race Sunday night and hold our various events. Here's a breakdown of the ways we use the lounges.
During the week we run a number of different events feel free to jump in and partake!

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, post your choices here. To avoid duplication of choices, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

You won't need to be friends with everyone in S.N.A.I.L. for two reasons, we can only have 100 hundred PSN friends and the more friends you have the greater the likelyhood of having lag issues.
We use division lounges to race in and to minimize the number of friends required to be a S.N.A.I.L. and Open Lobbies for practice and some other events.
You can be friends with other S.N.A.I.L.s but it's not required

Part of me thinks it's insulting to ask a GT Academy Finalist to run a time trial to see what division they belong in, but part of me is wants to know what kinds of times are possible on that track combo!
Whats fair for one is fair for all. Without a base time to shoot for i may leave a second or so out on the track.

Thanks for being cool about it, but don't worry about leaving time on the track. As I said here, it's not a competition and your time will never be posted for anyone to see. It's just a method to get new drivers assigned to the division that best matches their skill level.
We used to force all new members to start in D3 and then work their way up, but we recently adopted a new format that locks everyone into their division for an entire month. Therefore, forcing drivers to work their way up was no longer practical and we now try to get everyone assigned to the correct division from the start. 👍

If the room fills up, it would be best to open another. I could do that, my connection is okay, sometimes the bits freeze in the Great White North
I hadn't planned on taking a spot tonight as I'm not racing Sunday, but I do have time tonight.If anyone else, with a good connection, wants to volunteer to be room 2 host, feel free to chime in

They're all premiums, but we never make people scour the UCD. If we use a standard, it'll be in the OCD. Make sure you break them in (~200mi). The car/track combo list is here.

We have a rule that all new car selections have to either be available in the New Car Dealership (Premium) or currently listed in the Online Dealership (which is the only time Standard cars can be selected).
EDIT: that ninja dabneyd is getting fast..
