Diesel Sprinter over 2.2 Camry with a 4AT, anyday.

Hell... bicycle over a 2.2 Camry with a 4AT, too...

Reminds me of the time I was sitting at a set of traffic lights with a Corsa sitting next to me and a Saxo sitting next to him. I knew the race was on. The lights go green and I press down on my pedal and we're off with a screech of... nothing much. I get the jump on them and I'm off into an early lead. I'm snick snick snicking up through the gears and I can hear their tiny engines screaming and straining, trying to get ahead of me. I reach 30mph before the other 2 and at that I settle in a cruise and let them come past me and my mountain bike.

True story.

Mountain Bike? Oh, I see ...

Wow talk about great driving by the Corsa ;)

True story.

Truth be told, and I know this is the wrong thread for it, there aren't many who have got me off the lights on my push iron, but I do time it so that when the lights change I'm still rolling a bit so it's not a complete standing start for me.

I dunno, in the UK you can get a Vito with a 3.0 V6 turbodiesel with over 200bhp. Suspect a Camry might have a hard time against one of those...

I'm fairly sure it could tow the Camry to 60mph quicker.

Interesting. Here you're lucky to find one in a scrap yard. Apologies for the false alarm, again.
Basically, if you can find one that is running, it's probably going to be pretty cheap (because who is going to restore an early 80's Corvette?). Finding one at all is really the only difficult part.

You never know. I'd wager a 2.2 Camry is lighter than the current Porkus.
'Dat "Not a Protege" rage.

My 20,000 HP Hyundai Accent beats anything.

Well, OK, 110 HP and all season tires... But, at my last Autoslalom event, I didn't finish last... :sly: Nope, second last. :dopey:

I'm 18. The general thought after hearing about these claims, is to ask what type of a fuel pump or head gasket these 600 hp cars are running.

No answer=complete liar.
Wrong answer=complete liar
Sarcastic answer=complete liar
Specifically detailing the manufacturer of the fuel pump, AND reciting the serial numner=SWEET CAR MAN.

It works!

I read your first post wrong, hence why I acted like an asshole and then edited my post to hide the evidence :P

Yeah... But, I gave a playful "It's okay" response.

The fuel pump on the Hyundai is stock. Because I'm running a OEM autoslalom series, all that's modded on the car follows: short throw & strut tower brace.

Hyundai makes garbage transmissions, so we fixed it. And, when the car felt all squishy in the corners, we were curious about whether the Hyundai was held together "by playing cards."

My claims are outrageous!

He sounds like an idiot, not a liar.

Hahahahahaha well it's not fair to say "idiot" let's go with unskilled or lacks knowledge on this subject. However he may be an idiot. I don't know and to fair I'd say he lacks the knowledge. ;)

Yeah, that's why I was wondering what he was doing with an R33 GT-R.
You would expect somebody with the desire for that car to be mechanically inclined.

You would. But somewhere out there, there is a kid who is a major "Boss" at NFS, who has rich parents. Thats the only explanation I can come up with.

Not really, I like my cars but i'm not mechanically minded, does that mean I can't get a certain car?

That's what I figured if it is legit.

No, but if you appreciate the R33 enough to actually buy one, then you have probably been around cars for a while, and thus know a bit about how they work.

Well then... For all we know they could have just liked the car and bought it.

I appreciate my car, doesn't mean I can fix it or know how it works.

(I can see where your coming from though)

Yeah, I see what you're saying.
And I do know that there are people who love cars but don't know much about them and that's fine.

(It's good that you know what I'm saying.)
In my eyes, the R33 is the best of a legend, and anyone who has one knows their stuff.

More of a R34 guy ;) trying to persuade my dad to get one :sly:

I could link my "web-garage" to show my cars I've raced with over the years and some of the cars I've restorated over the years, that '60 Vette is one of those.

A 1960 Corvette in Finland is rare enough to see a request made.

Please supply photos that clearly show that the car yo claim to own is indeed owned by yourself.

A range of pictures with a piece of card with your GTP username in each of them is what is normally asked for, please see the examples in this thread and read the opening thread to gain an insight into why we ask and why it is the norm for GT Planet.

How about this, you reveal your true identitety with pictures and I'll show you my projects I've been up with the AKK Motorsport, because if I'd be giving away my personal information to anyone who requests those under the nickname, I would be more than scammed already, why ? Because pictures of my cars includes license plates, family members, team members and all sort of personal information.

Share yours and I'll share mine.

Pictures of myself along with details of cars I have owned already exist on this site, as for my identity and background well the staff and site owner already have details of that.

Now I'm not asking for any of that (or any more information than you have already made public on the internet), what you are being asked for doesn't require a number plate to be shown (cover it with card or use photoshop/paint.net to remove it). Don't want other people in them, then take new ones (you will need to do that to get your GTP user name in)

Here's the webpage for AKK Motorsports out of Finland:

http://www.autourheilu.fi/akkmotorsport/

That page should take you to an area where you can search for people that belong to the organization. There is no mention of a Sami at all on their page that I can find, doesn't mean it isn't there, but have a poke around if you like.

There's also this YouTube account:

http://www.youtube.com/user/Sampyla20plus

Which matches the username and has lots of GT and Forza content on it. It says the owner is 27 and from the United States. May or may not be the person in question, but it's something to look at.

It's really not that hard to find out information of people on the internet either. Just like Samplyla20plus has a 7 year old son that can pick out why GT is better than Forza.

Sauce: http://mazda.787b.product.info/feat...787b+comparison|vs|versus&keywords=mazda+787b

I managed this all while sitting on hold for 5 minutes and doing a simple Google search.

Interesting that there is no Sam listed on any of their staff lists on that website, and since they only employ 22 people, it seems odd that a senior member wouldn't get mention on any of the staff pages...
Add to that the fact that his occupation on this site is listed as "Land Surveyor" and the inconsistencies with information on his differing online profiles..... not looking strong.

Looking forward to seeing this 'Vette though, always loved the pre-1970 ones, and if this one was indeed professionally restored it should be in fantastic shape!
