yes it was. to put it into perspective, in C2 everyone had their offs and cost themselves time fixing damage in the pits.

In all I had 7 trips down pit lane including a drive through, 6 of them before 20-25 laps were complete.

akmuq had a big lead and then had an off and matty gained the lead, then akmuq DC'd and Matty had a big lead, he had an off which got me back to about 1/2 to 3/4 of a lap behind him when he DC'd, I had the lead and held it.

I'm happy for the points but I feel like I would have been 3rd or 4th at best without matty and akmuq DCing and the other guy quitting. Although it looks like I had fastest lap so the GT40 definitely has the pace, I just made too many mistakes.
 
I'm pretty sure I have a solution to DC'ing after having a chat with PS support.

If you’re remotely competent with a PC then you should have no problems.

If anyone wants help then let me know.

im listening. D'Cing is horrible.
 
Anyone notice that I only DC in long races these days.. Brickyard 400, Indy 500, yesterday.
 
As a pre caution I will lower mic quality next week. Also I reckon with things like the Olympics the whole world wide web is struggling a little...

Nope matty was lucky as well, 1 lap less and he would have not got points, you get points for completing 75% of your class leaders race distance.
 
So Akmuq gets points for making 75% distance, but if I had done one less (keep in mind I did 10 more then Akmuq) I wouldn't have got any?

Make some sense Furi.
 
No, C2 winner was 6 laps down, so 43-6 = 37 for the C2 winner. 37/100 = 0.37 for 1%, times by 75 = 27.75 laps needed (Rounded to 28 laps)

So AKmuq needed to have done 28 laps (thats -15 laps from the winner)
 
maybe you could give half-points to the people who DC'd?

so 75% race distance for full points but before that only half points and only due to Disconnecting, no points for quitters.

Half points or last place points, one of the two, getting most of the way through a race and getting nothing for it is a bit of a pain.

wow I had no idea how close it was

nice lap DK, I was .5 back. The GT40 is fast now just have to work on tire wear, I could only get about 40% into the rear tires before it oversteered too much to get decent lap times.

C2 is going to be really close this season, akmuq and matty are really fast in the Challenger, Cagelee showed the Camaro has pace, and Niop has yet to join the fray. It's going to be a lot of fun, can't wait for Monza 👍
 
C2 looks deadly close. Right I have decided that retirements from now on will receive half points. So Akmuq gets 2 points instead of 4, and Cagelee 1.5 in C2. R35 gets 2.5 points in C1. However, to make it fairer on makes, the makes will continue to count points only for the Top 2 Classified cars per make. Points will be updated at same time I get the TOCA Nurburgring priority entry list up.
 
I can't wait for Monza either. If it weren't for my disastrous streak of 4 pit stops in a row, I could have won! :grumpy:
