More Mazdas are road-raced on any given weekend, than any other car.
There's a reason for that.

Firstly, a little intro to Spec Miatas, in the best possible way:

Yeah, it's the closest racing you can get, anywhere.

And our interpretation of this instant classic:

We run rolling starts @ 100 km/h, following WMA procedure.

For each round, there are two races. Race one will be a "Fastest first" qualifying race. Race two will be a "Reversed grid based on previous race finishing order." This allows for new drivers to get a chance to make up for mistakes.

We run the 2007 Mazda Roadster RS (NC) @ 169 hp and 931 kg.

Regulations:

Pay attention! These regulations are important!

  • Sports Soft tires
  • No engine upgrades
  • Stage 3 Weight reduction
  • Window Weight Reduction
  • Carbon fiber hood
  • Roll-cage (a.k.a. Chassic Reinforcement)
  • 6 Speed Close Ratio Transmission
  • Height-Adjustable Sports Kit Suspension
  • NO OTHER PARTS! NO GT AUTO WING!

These specs ensure that the cars are even. Beginners don't face the daunting task of setting up a tuning setup for this series. The only adjustable part is the suspension, and it's restricted heavily.

Even if you already have a Miata Roadster model, you MUST buy a new one. The day after the races, you must put the car up for share, for technical inspection. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
