Anyways, did I... actually put up a great qualifying effort?

If I need to I can get a recording from my replay which shows I didn't cross the line.

Also I would like to point out that if in fact I did happen to cross the line (99% sure I didn't) it was because I was pushed down by the car on my outside, I definitly had two wheels above the yellow line before I got pushed down. So I can't really be penalised if I was in the right place and then pushed down under the line.

Or perhaps add a twist - set the top 12 in their respective positions from the points standings (1st starts in 1st, etc.) and have the go-or-go-homers race in a 2-3 lap shootout to see who makes it in.

as a go-or-go homer I'd rather it not be up to chance in a race why not just everyone only get one lap to q rather than 2.

How typical, I manage to qualify for the race, only to hear that I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow starting at 4:00 PM.

FML.

Screwed up big time sadly. Ran 37.000s easily just to screw up when I needed it most.

As for Matty, with all the bs that happened that race, I find it pointless to penalize Matty for something that trivial.

Yeah RPH, I damn near fell over when I seen that, what the 🤬 dude?

Exactly, Furi, what's the point in penalizing Matty for him possibly going under the yellow line, and then ignore the fact that you caused two cautions for out right bad driving. The second one could of even changed the result of the race.

And you are so perfect? The most aggressive driver in the field more like.

@Matty, on mine you had moved down low and where going below the yellow before being pushed down.

Was thinking is SSRX Quali should be at Daytona? (Strange idea I know but...)

You may not need to do that. Honestly, I don't think SSRX qualifying is that bad as long as you let multiple people on the track at a spread out interval and only do 1 lap qualifying. I'd recommend using free run for that. Technically, people would have to do 2 laps, (1 to start the timer, and 1 qualifying lap) but I think it would be much faster than doing the qualifying by starting a race for every person.

I would not recommend allowing everyone on the track with ghosting, because even with ghosting there still is a draft.

I'll see you for the last minute qualifying session.

Did I cause a wreck or unfairly overtake anyone? No. Because I know what I'm doing when I go for a gap like most of the drivers here, and when I do get it wrong I can usually fix it before it turns into a wreck. I think you're avoiding my point that you're penalising people for making mistakes that are more trivial than your own.

@Peelster, there is not drafting when collisions are turned off, you're thinking of ghosting when the penalties are on which is different.

I fell down the stairs this morning and I am very sore hand. Not sure to be able to race, i'll let you know asap.

Ouch. If there's room tonight and we don't have 16 qualifiers then you can start and park if you want.

I'm with Spurgy on SSRX qualifying, turn off collisions and send us out together if there is more than one.

No, Furi, just no... 👎

The main culprits of the race were definitely those who carelessly caused cautions after cautions, including you. One pass under the yellow line can't possibly be much worse than that?

Here is the rule we (PURE) use when it comes to quali on a very long track.

I'm still upset that I won't be able to race today, especially after posting a great qualifying effort. :grumpy:

Just going to qualify, not racing. Love this track, hoping a few old setups can get pole #2 :D

Edit: Akmuq has just done a 36.884.

No way i'm making it in, I thought I broke in the truck XD

If the room doesn't fill, I could be pace car boy or spectate. If not, then no harm done :)

Respectfully I have to say no you do not. in the daytona preseason you were taking it three wide when there was no room. You moved people out of the way to get to those positions and if the rest of the field did not know to back off to not go three wide into a turn, there would have been more wrecks. just because there is a gap doesn't mean you should be there superspeedways are about looking for the right time to make a move not sticking your car where it shouldn't be and hoping you come out of there alive. Granted towards the end people tend to be a little impatient, but that is understandable since time is running out. Am I saying it is ok to wreck someone out just because you want to get to the front? NNNNOOOO

Way its going, there might be room anyhow, might only be 1 or two DNS at most. Give it a shot.

GOODYEAR KEYS TO THE RACE

~How Many Stops?~
2 Stops or 3? So do you go with longer pit stops but less of them, or a shorter 3? Going to be an interesting strategy call.

~Pure Speed~
Motegi races rarely have cautions, usually the majority of the event is green flag running. Make sure you stay with the pack and are able to put the hammer down!

~Fuel Her Up~
It's often marginal Motegi with fuel levels, drivers will frequently have exceptionally low gas levels and some might just take too little.

CURRENT GRID ORDER:

ROW 01:
01 Gokartman 36.828
02 Akmuq 36.884

ROW 02:
03 Spurgy 36.905 #
04 Carbonox 36.961 #

ROW 03:

ROW 08:

16 ???

Daytona took it's toll on teams and trucks. Smuffy, JoeOfTheFire, FlyingFox, and Neljack are all missing counting repair bills so the stage is set round 2 of the series with a grid with some different faces.

Average Joe Motorsports return with JediJoe after a long abscense, TDZ Dave's australian entry makes its debut whilst Steel City Motorsports' Stormtrooper and Legacy also return to the fold. There's still two grid spots for final qualifying in an hour, tonight will have some different names as the series begins truly at Motegi.

After this week the top 12 are locked into SSRX, making it a critical week for many drivers. Expect to see some 3 and 4 wide action as we prepare for green flag racing in the Aarons 200k!
