GOODYEAR KEYS TO THE RACE
~The Draft~
SSRX is all about plate racing. Stay with that draft and you have a chance at victory come last lap.
~Dodge the Big One~
Last half of the last lap of either segment is almost guaranteed a wreck somehow with the full field jostling for position - evade it and you might win.
~Time It Right~
With the power of the draft it is easy to think you have won if you shoot by on the outside lane, but trucks hooked up behind might be gathering steam and drafting by you - timing is everything at SSRX.

We are back plate racing in the NASCAR Truck Series at SSRX, the monster of over 30 kilometres. A unique new format for this event means that it is split in two - @ 4pm SSRX time we will go green with a 4 lap sprint, counting for half championship position points, before a break and the green flag at 5pm SSRX time for Race 2, also counting for half points. However, leading laps is culmative across both events - 1 lap led in Race 1 will count as a lap led overall, and most laps led will be decided after both results are put together.
Also SSRX uses a unique "Sector-based" caution system. Once the caution is called the field races back the next 1000m marker above the track and then slows for the yellow. The race director will wait for most (if not all) the field to form up and we will go back to green at a set point. Also, last lap, there is no cautions once the field enters the backstretch tunnel for the final time.
A huge entry this week, 21 have already attempted qualifying, with up to 4 more expected to try and make the cut. Anyone can win at SSRX, and it's sure to throw a topsy-turvy spin in the battle for GTP NASCAR Truck Series title.
