Hey goat, thanks for the tips for getting around online. I upgraded a couple of cars and out of cash again. While the game is fun, I have more appreciation for how well organized GT5 is - very easy to get around online. Wish we could practice tracks before the race starts.
I am on racenet. They have done a very good job of hiding the forums. Where are they?

Getting around on line does take some practice but once you got it down it's pretty easy.
So far, I see that 4 of us has the game. We should all join together for some racing so we can increase our levels. The more we increase our levels the more cars we can run. I'd advise to play the game to get some practice on the tracks and also the more events you complete, the more cars become available. Look for invitations for vehicle challenges and you can pick up new cars there.
I will be on tonight so if anyone wants to join me, post that you'll be on and will get to increasing our levels.

Spent a couple hours on and off line today. It's arcade, but fun as heck. Learning to drift using throttle control. Could never do it in GT5. I now have over 25,000 fans! Hahaha! I've never had fans before.

I think it's called the Custom Event Creator. Used it to do 5 lap races with the Indy Car. Very strange the max possible is 5. Not sure indy cars are supposed to be able to drift corners.

Sorry about the room last night guys. I followed goat and GTP_nickskyline and the room was nasty rubbish. I kept getting slammed in the first corner and just pulled over and raced clean to maintain my driver rating.
Lesson learned, random lobby drivers+no pre-race practice= big bang, therefore only race with friends or leave at first sign of trouble.
The online experience, while it can be fun playing Grid2 with the right guys, does leave a much greater appreciation of the job PD
has done with GT5.👍

I agree! I have been online a few times with this game and that is the first time that it was a smashup Derbyfest. But there have been rooms where small incidents happened but the people race because they want to level up. Those guys that night were complete jerks.
You sent me a friend invite and I came in and won the first race I joined. I think those guys hated it because they were above level 15 and I was still a level 4. The next race started and that big mouth or both of them totally took me out because of that and started talking trash and I don't dig that.
I guess your just gonna have to hunt around to see if friends are there or hunt around for some clean, or somewhat clean racing.
I do look on the thread quite often so if you want to jump in a race together let me know. At least I know when I'm racing near you it will be clean.
