What did Kaz say in that post?

I used google translate.

First lap of qualifying top 40. Front downforce missing in Flugplatz, GT-R had flying 15 meters. (Angle of the rear wing is 8 °)
It was also reproduced in the simulation of GT6 which was moving at the same time as the race.
It gets worse when you lower the angle of the rear wing. It does not improve if you do not lower the ride height of the front.

Posting this in the GT6 physics thread.

From what I can translate, the 1st part says:

"Top 40 on the first lap of qualifying."
"On the Flugplatz, due to lack of front downforce, the GT-R flew 15 metters. (The rear wing had an angle of 8 degrees)"

Probably not that correct since I've only recently started learning Japanese. This is a great exercise for me to practice so I'll try to translate the rest.

Edit:

"It was also reproduced in the simulation of GT6 which was in motion at the same time (as the race)."
"Also lowering the rear wing's degrees, made it get worse instead, and it didn't lower the height of the front of the vehicle."

Done.

Wow. Maybe I'm going abit optimistic here but if the aero physics on this game are that good, is there a possibility that we might be able to have blow overs?

The comments I can copy to translate, but not Kaz's post. The comments give non indication of what's going on. Looks like it has T-tops or a Targa top?

Looked closer at the pics and I don't really see a T-Top.

I didn't now KY was on Facebook. Can someone please give me the link to his profile? I can only find a stupid Wikipedia page that doesn't even have the same picture.

I believe the rest of the text is:

"The car came in sight to the whole block."
"At times that street had to be blocked."
"With the "prefered method of filming" it felt like we were doing a "movie of America"."

That's what I could translate, but I'm still a beginer so it might not be that correct.

I'm a beginner too. What I took the whole thing as was:

"For 6 hours, we have been driving recklessly across the public roads of downtown LA at night in a Corvette C7 with police motorcycle escorts...

The car looked like it was being driven by Ken Block.

For an hour, the highway was blocked.

They said, "filming is more important than order (referring to keeping the road open to the public?)," it really feels like this is "America movie state".

Yours seem to be more correct than mine.

But the Ken Block part doesn't seem right. Doesn't ブロック in that case mean block as an area of a town, or as in blocking the passage to something?

Ken Block is a rally driver ;)

Yea, I know he is. Well known for the gymkhana stuff. :)
But he mentions no Ken, just says the word block.
So it doesn't really seem look to me that he's refering to the actual Ken Block.

In the context if the sentence it seems that mentioning Kens name would make sense.

I think I remember someone telling me ッ was an 'n' in Japanese (keN) but I'm probably wrong. Maybe someone could run the entire phrase in a few different translators to see what the cumulative result is or leave it be because it seems like we have a fairly understandable idea of what Kaz is trying to say ;)
