This is a little bit of a hypothetical game that I like to play on other forums I'm a member of and it's usually pretty successful. I don't think I've done this around these parts, so it's time to start one up. I'll keep a running list of who's who in this post.
The premise is simple: a studio has decided to make a film centering on the forums (I imagine we'd all be racing drivers or some such). Never mind the writers' strike, the incredibly high budget they'd need to make the film and the fact that most films about motorsports are complete and utter failures; they've committed to making this film. The question is now before you:
Which actor is going to play the role of you? And why?
The rules are simple:
- They can be any actor, living or dead.
- One actor can play the part of only one person of the forums, so get in quick (but if this thread proves successful and runs for several pages, I can relax this rule).
- Try to pick somebody in keeping with your personality. It makes it a little bit more fun that way.
- You can nominate an actor to play another forum member, but the final choice is theirs.
- Try to provide a link to a picture of said actor so we know what you'd look like on the silver screen.
To start the ball rolling, the part of Do you race? will be played by either Nathan Fillion or Matt Damon; I haven't quite decied which. As to why, I'd say Fillion because the character Malcolm Reynolds is very close to who I am as a person. The same logic apparently applies to Matt Damon;normally I'd run with Fillion, but we had a similar discussion at college a few weeks ago and several people thought of Damon's Jason Bourne, though I don't see any similarities except for the first name.

and also he has to be able to curse like hell 👍 was originally considering Mr Pesci as he has one foul mouth that sounds freakishly natural ... but I will stick with Big Al
