hi. i'm a long time car nut and track day enthusiast. however, i'm completely new to video games/driving simulators and i want to tell everyone about my new set up.

i got the playseats racing frame and the logitech g25 wheel, shifter, pedals. im using an old ps2 with a new to me gt4 game i just bought. unfortunately, im also using an old 19" crt tv but hope to switch to a 42" plasma today if circut city can make the delivery before i have to go out for my wifes bday dinner!

it is so much fun! i played for about 1 hr last nite using the time trial mode and a 1949 vw bug at leguna seca. thats about the only car i could keep on the track! my times were about 2:50 but hoping to improve with time.
 
Howdy, and welcome to GTPlanet. I'm happy with my seat setup but I am starting to wish for a G25 to replace my DFP. The bigger screen will help you keep it on the road, and once out get used to the wheel, you'll be able to try something faster.

I find that I tend to be all over the road in the 3rd-person view, so if that's how you're driving now, try the first-person view.

Don't shy away from the Auto News and Cars in General threads... I know I'd love to have another gearhead around to "shoot the S" and have more to add to the conversation(s).

What are we running on track days?
