Congrats to hsh, Perfect Balance and OnlyMe for winning their divisions. 👍👍👍 I would also like to congratulate all those who managed to submit a time for more than 1 car. Well done guys. Sadly we have another week whereby people are simply not reading the race specifics. This makes my job so hard and from now on I will DQ anyone for failing to follow the race specifics, no matter how trivial it turns out to be. Thanks to Steven for this weeks image.

Week 148 Race Specifics:

Submit all your final lap times to me in the normal fashion, but bold your fastest lap time together with the car that you used. This is so I can quickly identify your fastest lap.

Week 148 Results:

Supra's @ Trial Mountain

Important notice:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Unofficial" and will become "Official" when all posted replays have been checked. After 7 days, any racers achieving a Gold time who do not provide a replay will have their lap disqualified.

Please Note:
I will update this post during the week to include any posted replays and also keep track of which replays have been checked and by whom.

Replay Verification:
This week we would like to see all gold times.

Quick Guide To Replay Checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing – Super Soft and that the power is 556 (554 Woodone) hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle.

Wow well done everyone and most of all Hsh, Mr P, Prefect Balance, BigHead and OnlyMe on there gold times 👍

Such close times in all divisions this week, nice to see ;)

I agree with you there Ren-Tec.
Congratulations to hsh for getting the fastest lap. Congrats to MrP for submitting, to the divisional winners, and to all podium finishes. Good finish for your first week in the WRS BigHead.

Sorry for forgetting the car I drove Sphinx. I just scrolled straight down to what I need to submit, and it didn't mention to car driven there, so I just forgot. I've pm'ed it to you.

I'm getting the replay now, I'm just having trouble finding out which one it is for sure.

Congrats to MrP for submitting,

 Thats a bit below the belt haha ... but funny all the same :sly:

Congrats to Hekke for the overall win 👍 although you must have lost loads on the last section being miles ahead of me at T3 and barely ahead at the line .. I should have pushed a tiny bit more and maybe would have had an edge for once :dopey:
Congrats also to all the other winners in every Division and individual cars
I will upload a zip with all 5 of my laps tomorrow, t'was fun 👍

Tight racing everyone

Congrats to Hekke, Ron, and Kyle. Quite the podium there 👍 Solid wins by Perfect Balance and OnlyMe. That is a nice run you got there Niels, the only maveric in the lot ;)

I'll post my replay if anyone wants it, Kyle has the fastest ntsc run this week but I think he is out of town? anyway.....

Ok, this "should" be the right replay, if not, I fail, because I've deleted all the other ones to avoid confusion.

Congrats to all the golds and podiums. Hekke, what a smokin' lap :bowdown: and a solid lap from Mr. P, as usual 👍

Congrats to all that ran a clean lap, especially those that found time for a clean run in all 5 cars

An excellent and fitting race for 5 years of WRS.

Erik - I'd like to view your lap if you can post it, I will definitely make time for it tomorrow evening. 👍 My PS2 is busy with B spec Bobby running part of the 24 hours of the Ring at the moment, as I have not made it quite that far in rebuilding my previously corrupted game save. :dopey: I think I saw Kyle out there while I was running some laps in between pit stops. :odd: I was almost the other maveric, my next fastest lap was in the '01 Tom's, same T3 as the Woodone but 0.014 slower at the line.

Ron and Kenny - I thought you guys had me by a lot more, based on the splits. I guess I didn't need to drive the last chicane that aggressively. :sly: Congrats to you guys for some solid times.

See you at Monaco, I love the city tracks!

Kevin

Congrats to the winners and golds.

Well ... congrats to all of us for keeping WRS alive in 5 years.

And thanks to all the stewards. Without your hard work and enthusiasm, WRS would never have made it so far. 👍 👍 👍

Yep I concur! Well done to all who make it a great Series 👍

Here's my Supra replays in a rar file .. will check available unchecked replays after work this afternoon ;)

btw not sure which replay is which as I grabbed them all in 1 swoop and then GTP wouldn't allow 1 single rar file as it was over by 6kb :dopey: broke it down in to 2 anyway.
Cheers
Ron.

Congratulations to all golds, to the steward for his share in our beloved community and to us all for 5 years of great rivalry. Special thumbs up to Bighead for his gold in his first WRS week 👍

Congrats to all division winners. I'm very pleased with my second place :). Hopefully I submitted my correctly Sphinx.

Another great week, Congrats to all the winners, thumbs up to the participants, and thanks again to the stewards and updaterers. Too bad I was owned by this combo, glad there is no damage in GT, I performed several dozen heavy impact dissections of the poor Cerumo on that final chicane. Left lots of orange paint on the rocks everywhere as well. Lucky to finally manage a clean lap in the Woodie.

See you next week!

Yeah that was all that was left to do, after steering in too late I would just throw the car up the embankment and it would start spiraling in the air until it was clipped by the overpass. I imagined there would be an explosion in such an event. :scared:

Congrats to all in conquering this car/track combo! My hat is off to you as I found it to be quite elusive.

I'll be glad to view your replay BigHead.

EDIT: Clean and green.. All the correct specs to go with it also.👍
I watched your replay a few times and noticed that your steering input is minimal. Well done. Were you satisfied with your lap? I was taking some corners a bit tighter, yours were a bit wider. I only ask because I believe at your level of competition, you guys are usually were you want to be on the track. I usually try to hit those marks, but often miss them due to lack of skill. I like to watch these replays for all sorts of information/education on getting myself better. Glad you jumped right in with some solid racing. I think we will see more replays of yours in the future. :)

Hey Congrats to anyone who participated in this 5th anniversary WRS!! 👍👍👍 :dunce::dunce::dunce::cheers:

Kudos to Hekke, for his overall win  and to Perfect Balance for the div2-win 👍 Also special congrats for Bighead for getting gold in his first week 👍 and a big thumbs up for Andy on getting second in only his second week 👍 Seems like it was very close racing behind my back!! 5 div3-competitors in 1.4 sec's :scared:

Here's my replay for your viewing pleasure :sly:

See you guys in week 150!!

Gratz to everyone that participated in this special anniversary event. My laptime wasn't good at all because of lack of practise, too much work for the uni (working on a Lotus..). Anyway gratz to all

p.s. I used the Woodone for the laptime.

Congratulations to all the winners this week. I'll be offline this week as I'm having most of Trial Mountain repaved to remove the bumps. At times I felt more like I was guiding an aircraft more than driving a car. Still a fun race and very challenging (and just a little bit frustrating).

Thank you very much, Gents….

… and Ron ….I just got to hand it to you…. Man, that is one killer final sector.
If only….
Although I got first spot the moral winner, to me anyway, are you.

This is exactly what the WRS-series is all about.
The WRS-format makes for an interesting mix of not only drivers skills (eye/hand coordination, timing and speedy reactions) but it also involves a bit of psychology as well.
For sure nothing beats pure talent but when you’ve got people of equal levels of skills and talent your mindset and mental strengths (or weaknesses) such as determination and focus, tactics and strategies becomes even more of an issue.
Just take a good look around and you’ll find proof of that at any level of sporting events all over the world.
When the differences in performance at any level, men or women, are minute … the deciding and dividing factor, in most cases, are peoples mental capabilities.

I kind of knew that it was going to be close as my final sector was kinda weak, to say the least.
My fastest lap at that point prior to this displayed a T3 some 2/10´s slower yet at the line only 2/100´s slower.
hsh
However, splits aint worth much if FLT is beaten, right :scared:
I got the shivers…. big time….. I just had to perform given the relatively short amount of time I had dedicated to this race…. Not taking anything away from yous.
This lap just felt so good until I realized what I had coming…. Just didn’t wanted to risk too much by parking the car good and solid into the wall… and went overly cautious.
A low 1'11.7 is what I missed out on…. well there you go.

Hats off to all of yous… golden boys and podium finishers as well as all you competitors, well done!!

… and not to forget… the stewards, of course…. Jerry and Bigracer
NielsG
And thanks to all the stewards. Without your hard work and enthusiasm, WRS would never have made it so far. 👍👍👍
NielsG….hear, hear… You said it!!!

All the best, Hekke.

Video and PAL-replay below.
(Ron-mate, what will I have to do to watch your replay… I’m a bit lost).

@ Hekke ... I will grab the Cerumo lap on its own within the next 20 mins as the 2 rar files are a mystery to even me! ... as I have no clue which one contains the Cerumo haha :P

hsh
@Ron... alright... I´ll DL it, scrutinize and learn

Cheers, Hekke.

Hahaha! ... flattery will get you everywhere :sly:

.. as you will see in the Cerumo lap .. I get close to the wall at the top of hill before T3 and on the final straight before the line but my judgement after multiple angle views and studying the speed was they were close but clean, I like living on the edge ;)

will grab all replays unchecked now and check em out
I'll be back :dopey:
