One of the photos I took while covering the London Gumball 3000 Start in 2006. Taken using a Fuji Fine Pix A330. Original picture bar cropping to center the car.
I like it because it shows people all gathered together to admire beautiful cars!

I took this today, but I think if we dont have themes the uber photgraphers like Exige will just delve into their stores from past months of pure ownage photography.
I also believe all shots should be stock as not everyone has access and skills to make their shots look unfairly better.

Other than that, Nice lets keep it going.

Don't have many car-shots, but here goes:

18mm, ISO1250, 1/15th

Taken in Macau.

i'll throw my hat in the ring.

Australian Grand Prix, April 2nd 2006.
Jenson Button's Honda blows on the last lap.
Canon 20D w 70-200mm f2.8L
cropping and resizing does it no favours, but there ya go.

TVR&Ferrari_Fan by HDR do you mean high definition resolution photos are not allowed? I'm not sure what HDR means. Do you mind if we add a link to the original sized photo?

I took this photo while walking through the paddock area at Lime Rock Park during an ALMS weekend. The track was just resurfaced and it was a truly great experience for spectators, at least this one.
This photo is untouched. The other info is below the photo.

ripping_silk that is a sick picture, I love it.

EDIT: rearranged the info format

Actually, images may not be any larger than 900pixels in either direction, if you read the image posting rules.

I've edited the rules. Also, Alex brings up an interesting point. Given that people like exigeracerare shooting cars all the time, and the OP TVR&FF shoots eleventy-billion images every time he switches his camera on, themes may help.

Or other members could start running other competitions/multi-contributor themed galleries.

I still rather not do any themes.

I made a mistake about the HDR bit. However I was meant to say HDRI:

So no theme, we just submit a cool Picture and that’s it? Nice, free stuff. great job so far on the blown F1 and the red BMW, people. I’ll see what I can whip out in the next couple of days, given I finish work in time for the deadline.

bleh, no time at all to dip out something new, so this will have to do; granted, I didn't shoot this picture, it was my wife, but bear with that and think the nickname Cano represents the Cano family, hahaha.

I promisse for the next one i'll dish out something decent that has not been seen.

TVR, I've always liked your Maserati shot, but F1GTR steals my vote. Great car, backdrop is outstanding, but the colours totally make that shot. Brilliant!

Only old people don't like blue w/ pink!

for me was a toss up between F1GTR and TVR&Ferrari_Fan, both lovely shots. I picked TVR.. for no other reason than its a little more GT5-esque. Shame there were no more entrants, but some nice work by all contenders.

Was a toss-up between F1GTR's scene and the great capture of Jenson's blowup. Went with F1 because of all the neat colors and stuff.

I'll claim victory if I get a vote, however.

Can I just add a little suggestion? Putting the images on the poll, instead of names would be much easier and less disturbing. I am voting for the image, not the name, like the poll makes me think.
