OK, so anyone who has played LittleBigPlanet knows that one of the many things that makes this game so appealing are all the wonderful prizes you can earn throughout the story levels, community levels, tutorials, as well as some of the promotional and future DLC.
It is estimated that there are thousands of different prizes hidden throughout the many different story levels, mini challenges, tutorials, and even in many of the online levels.
To help identify what prizes are available, and where to find them I thought it would be a great idea to create a dedicated thread for that specific purpose.
However, because there are sooo many prizes, a master list would exceed the character limit, not to mention it would make for a massively long post. So instead, following this post, I'll make additional posts for each prize category.
There are several different prize categories. Just in case there are others I am not aware of, I'll add one more post for "Misc" prizes. I'll also add a post for identifying specific DLC prizes. I'll also add a link to each of the following so for those who want to, can jump directly to that post:
OK, so I'll start by adding the prizes I have found and where I found and or got them, but this database will only work if everyone participates, as I'm sure I'll never be able to find all the prizes... and considering the vast amount of community levels, it will take input from as many people as possible to help identify the location of various prizes.
BTW: For those that may not be aware, you can get a lot of info about a prize you have by highlighting it and then press the square button. The first page allows you to "Heart" it, the second page allows you to chose how you would like your prizes organized on that page. The default is by Category, but you can also organize them by the order in which you got them (Newest), or by where in the game did you get them (Theme).
The third page (if the prize has it) is the "Description" and often tells you where you got the prize from. The last page is the Credits page, and tells you who created it. This can be helpful in tracking down where you got prizes that are from community levels, as they are often prizes that were created by the author of the level. Once you know the author's name, all it takes is a quick search from the "Cool Levels" menu in LBP using the author's name and you shouldn't have any trouble locating the level that you played that had that prize.
In some cases, like many Object prizes found in community levels, on the credit page you'll see as much as three different credits, "Created By", "Originally By", and "Contributors". I suspect the reason for this is that LBP allows you to use and then change pretty much anything you collect and then use in your own levels... thus the credits help identify the origin as well as those that have modified. 👍
Any way... the point is, you canuse these options and features to help identify where you got your prizes from, and thus can share it more easily with us to make this database more accurate. 👍👍
