LSD can be difficult to set up. So I will help.

Haven't driven FF for a while - might drag out that little Citroen - or maybe that poor Integra Type R I turbocharged that understeers like a greyhound with broken front legs....

I have noticed that the controller vibrates madly on any track when driving the citroen. what causes this? is it the tyres?
do i need to buy road tyres? for road races?

Probably torque steer - correct me if I'm wrong, but I suspect the Citroen is the only front drive race car in GT3, is it not?

Actually, the Beetle Cup Car and the Lupo Cup Car are also FWD racers.

And yes, that is modelling torque steer. A high-powered FWD racecar like the Xsara has spherical control arm bushings and hard poly bushings every where else, meaning that there is almost no compliance in the suspension. On a road car, soft rubber would soak up all that vibration and force, but on these cars it gets transmitted to your arms.

Mmmm. I have the wheel, so I hadn't noticed this. Is that on tarmac or dirt?

tarmac.....

neon, did gt3 makers really go so far as to incorperate that??

gt3 really is a great game :D

Well, they at least gave an indication of it. My 320 hp Integra rattles the controller during 1st and 2nd gears, but the FWD race cars seem to do it alot more.

You should try it with the GT Force - the big power front drivers really fight the wheel out of corners.

I haven't driven the little red Citroen on tarmac yet. I'll try to remember to do it tonight and I'll come back to you.

Finally tried this out - don't seem to get the same effect you describe with the Citroen. You get a bit of a sense of fighting the front wheels out of slow speed corners (particularly at the hairpin at Midfield) but certainly nothing after third gear.

I was running the 'out of the box' set up at Midfield, so the car was pretty soft - I might sit down and put a more traditional track set up on it (i.e. drop it down and stiffen the settings up) and see what happens.

It likes a bit of an 'on power understeer' with its current set-up.

I know exactly what you are talking about, and Neon is absolutely right, that is just the force of the engine messing with the suspension and the force goes into your steering wheel. With my Civic (real life) if I hammer it, my wheel can pull sideways up until maybe 3rd.

Erm - how can you set a car up for entry and exit at the same time? I might be on a different parallel here, I'm using GT2.
