For those who own a DFGT, does your DFGT make as much noise as in this video?

I'm just trying to figure out if there is something wrong with mine. Thanks. :)

Mine was like that.. I took the housing off and put some grease on the big white cog that engages the little cog.. much quieter and smoother, takes 5 mins and no real skill.

Thanks guys. (that's not my video btw, found it on youtube)

And great tip 888 Tuning. Much appreciated. Gonna give it a try... if it's easy to put it back together? :)

The thing is, in this video for example you can hear the guy shift and use the pedals, but you don't hear the wheel at all:

Even if I make small movements like that my wheel still makes rather much noise. Makes me believe that some DFGT's make less or more noise than others.

Yeah its easy to put back together... my first one wasnt too noisy, the replacement I got when the first one ate some cogs, was much noiser which prompted the grease : )

Let us know how you get on

Ok, I bought me some high-quality acid-free lubrication grease based on lithium. Suitable for lubricating and protecting all types of slide-bearings, ball bearings, roller bearings, cogs and chains.

As you can see, very greasy.

Please tell me this is a good one? :) (there wasn't much choice and I know nothing about this kind of stuff)

And i'll need to use it only on that long white cog right? But not to much?

I'm sorry for all the questions, it's just that I wanna make sure i'll do it right.

I was just watching some video's from mad94d, playing with his DFGT, and I noticed how silent his DFGT is.

Only very occasionally you can hear the wheel. Huge difference with the DFGT's noise in the openingspost.

I hope mine will be as quite as mad94d's after I put on some grease. *fingers crossed*

I opened up my DFGT and I was surprised to found out that the cogs already had more than enough grease on it. So i'm gonna get mine replaced.
