Mods please don't lock this thread, it's to do with GT5 so no reason to.Just thinking to make GT5 less of a game & as close to real life, would you mind giving your 2p on your real life car experiences. This might just help for GT5 or maybe GT6.
My personal car :
Subaru Impreza STI 555 4dr ( with roof vent ) + factory STI suspension ( previously Scoobysport coil overs ), full HKS competition exhaust system ( no cats ).
With STI suspension on, it's not harsh or unforgiving in any way, it's firm yet you can turn quickly on dry roads & won't unsettle itself. However when you come to a tight bend the suspension stiffens up & that + the chassis the Scooby then begins to behave like a rally car.No traction control or abs fitted, so careful not to hit puddles on a roundabout, or the rear will slide around more than you would expect.
Now for the driving experience
From a standstill the acceleration is not smooth, it's hesitant in the low revs so getting it to drive without hesitation is the key here. There is a fair chunk of torque from below 4k revs too.At 4,500 revs that is when the turbo comes in, & you can hear it winding up.So @ 4,500 revs all the torque the engine can muster, is there to push you along until you reach 6,000 revs and then it's party time.Depending on which model of Scoobies, like the Type R for example the gear ratio is very close together (4,500 revs @ 70 mph in 5th is not unheard of in the Scooby world ).I wouldn't mind if PD could include the different noises & drones you get from different performance exhausts, into the interior that get soaked up by seats etc.
Here is a Scooby vs Vette video, notice the tyre screeching PD 👍 & that is how both cars should sound ( in interior & engine, exhaust system etc ), if they are in GT5.The exhaust, fitted to the Impreza isn't standard factory parts.
