An idea for GTPSP users

I debated putting this inside the "Official GTP ad hoc" thread, but I thought it deserved it's own thread. I think it would be cool if we set up a weekly race series type thing. It doesn't have to be all official like the GT5P race series, but it doesn't have to be informal like the "ad hoc" thread. We can just meet at a certain time every week or so. Just an idea. I appreciate your feedback.
 
Sounds good, but you can only race 4 in a single race. So perhaps a tournament style thing could work.

My idea is different. On the ad hoc thread, people would post whenever they want to race, and hope someone is reading it and meets him or her in time. This would be a weekly race, so everyone would know when to get together. It's more organized than what we have now.

Start one now. Edit the thread title with the date and time (or start a new one). Give people enough time to plan for it and consider doing some times that work for people in different time zones. If I know in advance and don't have other plans already I could get some work done around the house before so the wife would give me time off for good behavior for the races.
 
Oh gotcha, my mistake. I wish my house wasn't set up for Wireless or I would join you guys.

Yeah, we could do it like the Winter Olympics. The top two advance each time. then we award gold silver and bronze. 12 people would be good, but we could do 8 if we have to.

Simple answer: Yes.

Not so simple answer: Maybe not. I think you can do it with a pc, but not sure. You could also travel a lot. I live in Southern California so after we race you could visit Disneyland.
 
I believe you are refering to X Link Kai and you need something called WIFI MAX. It's what a lot of Monster Hunter PSP Players used before Ad-Hoc party was launched. I don't know personally how it is used only because I have a PSP Go and you need CFW I believe to run the software.

I've decided we're going to do it. I'm going to see how it goes first. If anybody is interested, I'm going to try it this Friday at 5pm US Central time. So if your interested, just tell me by posting. If we get enough, we'll do a tournament.
 
Due to lack of interest, I've decided to postpone it until next Friday. Sometime next week, I'll put up a formal thread with a signup. And I'll take some time to organize this. So just sit tight!
