They say you learn something new everyday, well that's what I learned today. :D

I didn't know nothing about that awesome machine until a few minutes and I'd gladly own one because it's not something that people would expect to see like a ferrari or a lambo.

Sub-Zero. 👍

Just a question, is it street legal ?

You can't really "use" a Corvette Z06 any more than you can a base Corvette either.

Rated it "cool". Has a little too much of a following that thinks its the most amazing thing ever. This set the fastest lap for Nurb right, finally beaten by the Radical?

Owwww yeahh! a car designed for one thing to go FAST! Subzero for me.

I'd like to see this thing over a rough road or a speedbump

Uncool

If you owned this car you wouldn't want to drive it on a rough road. :dopey: you would be rich enough to drive your other car on a rough road. Maybe a Range Rover or a Porsche Cayenne. You would have a car for every road texture you want. :sly:

I love the 956/962. But as a race car. Having had a poke around a 962 all i can say is that the cockpit must be a hellishly cramped space to spend any time in for a road car. The Dauer is also produced from an actual racing 962 chassis so each Dauer produced means less racing 962's which to me is a travesty. Cool none the less.

That is an awesome car, Sub-Zero. But one thing, why was it not worlds fastest production car? It was made in the early 90's and is 11 Mph faster than a McLaren F1, which was fastest until the Konninsegg came along. Was it technically a tuning company, or was there not enough sold cars for it to classify??

All you're doing if you purchase this car is going up and saying to the salesman, "Yes, I'd like to buy 400km/h of death, thank you!!"

Sub-Zero.

I don't think the road version has ever lapped the ring, the racing 956 (which is one of the coolest cars ever IMO, very similar to the 962) set the record fastest lap of the ring in the early 80's, a record which still stands today. It ran laptimes of 6 minutes and 25 seconds in racing trim and a staggering 6 minutes 11 seconds in qualifying trim.

Looks like bags of room to me. :ill:

It's pretty meh, it's a prototype from the 90's. Not much from the 90's could ever be considered cool.

The car itself is COOL.Great looks, performance #'s.but not for 1.2 mill, sorry. That part drops it from subzero to cool. For 1.2 mill. I can buy a lot of other toys and be just as happy.

It's a record that will/can never be beaten since the GP loop section that that race was run on was demolished shortly afterwards and was totally different to the GP track we have today.

I struggle with this... the 962 is one of the most iconic racing cars ever, but I just can't believe that this would be any good as a road car.

Cool, at a stretch.

In addition, 251mph from 730bhp? Maybe 230, 240 at a push, but 251 sounds a bit too much for 730bhp.

But it only weighs a little over 1000 KGs.... Then 251mph doesnt sound so weird to me...
