General Information and Regulations

As with last season there will be three types of race event during the season. There will be 4 Standard rounds of 50mi and 5 Enduro rounds of 100mi and 1 Super-Enduro round of 150mi.

Week starts on Monday, with times to be sent via PM by 11.59pm GMT on Sunday

There is NO HP penalty for joining the series part way through the season.

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by GTPCTC sanctioning body, umm...me for now unless the GTMSA wants to pick me up :P. Any and all questions should be directed to GTPCTC officials (namely me..and anyone else who wants to help out) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manor.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by me for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

* Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
* No Cheating, hybrids, etc. You must run the car specifications I give you
* Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts (NOTE: Turn 5 has a little slab of concrete that is covered with rubber, hinting that it's frequently cut; for this round, you may cut this corner, but ONLY this corner.)
* No wall-riding as well. Combined with penalties, this will slow you down considerably, so don't do it.
* All decisions by GTMSA officials are final
* The race track for this season will be defined as the area between the white or yellow lines. This means rumble strips do not count as track.

Qualifying

* Single hot lap in time trial (arcade) mode
* Weight penalty in effect
* SS tyres only
* ASM is prohibited TCS is optional
* Laps MUST be clean, no collisions no matter how small are acceptable
* Points: 3pts - 2pts - 1pt
* 20 second penalty added to race time if you don't submit a qualifying time
* Qualifying will be open for 1 week per round (i.e. Monday to Sunday)

Deep Forest.
Goody. I like it here so should enjoy qualifying.
Not so sure about a full Race. I reckon Tyre wear will be murderous :ill:

Awesome. One of my favourites in the GT series. 👍
This should be interesting with PB dropping 2% of his weight penalty here. :scared:

Oh, you do need to specify forward or reverse here before we all take off in the wrong direction!!!

There is slab of concrete around Turn 5 that, when doing some license tests, the game tells you to use this. Because of this (and the fact that I'll use it myself) this slab of concrete will also count as being in bounds.

So we're legally allowed to get 4 wheels beyond the white lines at that point?
You should add a note to this effect for the race rules this week, as it still says that we should try to keep at least 2 wheels between the lines.
I hate cutting that bend personally, but if everyone's doing it, then I don't want to be the one losing an extra second a lap, so I'll join in.

That's not really gonna make a huge difference, though. I mean, it might during qualifying, but I'll still have to take an extra pitstop during the race.

G'day all.
How are we all doing ?

I have completed and submitted my qualifying times.
I decided not to take advantage of the Turn 5 relaxation in the rules as I could see no justification for it. As it happened I did not need to anyway.
I may cost me comparative time but that is fine too.
I should have videos up and available just on deadline time.

GS -
T1 : 28 . 666
Tighter track may cancel out the bigger Cars speed on the straights, the most important one of course the uphill drag towards the last tunnel.
Very important to have maximum entry speed to this area.

ST -
T1 : 31 . 069
Ignored concrete again even though may give more advantage with these Cars.
Pleased with lap but expect times to be pretty close.

I really enjoyed this and will actually be looking forward to Race ( although I am not normally an endurance freak like Smallhorses  ).

GL all 👍

But the GTCTC Sanctioning Body (umm...Super Shouden) said it's okay to use the concrete pad. :shrugs:

Well for now, I'm cutting the corner however I've got 2 different lap times just in case the rules change again.

Oh and just to let y'all know...I am aware of the mistake for my GS/Stang's weight, and therefore am using 1,583 kg, which is what the 'Stang would be at +1%

Forgot to consider previous modifiers here. So SS got his math right. What's interesting is that I did ST qualifying with a similar mistake (1,086 kg instead of 1,075) yet so far I've been unable to beat my Q-time with the extra weight.

I also would like to jump in with you guys for the rest of the series. I hope there is room on the grid:tup:

I took the cut on the cement but ended up a little more sideways than I would have liked on what was to be my best run.

I've just submitted my time too.
Quite happy with the barrier I broke, but I expect the looooong hillclimb at Deep Forest to play into the hands of the torquier motors here.

I too couldn't get to grips with the turn 5 cut, being a fastidious clean racer, I've spent 5 years not cutting this corner, so I couldn't get used to it.
We'll see what it costs tomorrow when the qualifying results arrive.
Looking forward to a great race here though, it's a great track. 👍

why are you running the SRT4? that's my car. :P

Seeing that you DNS'd the last two races. "It's use it or lose it." :ouch: Old folks lingo.

And I might even place high enough to get a wt penalty. Make me feel like I'm one of the fast guys. :)

edit:

SuperShouden: I will race this round. I didn't get a chance to run the times for the SRT4. But I plan on running this race in both classes. So you can get back in your own car. :P

Don't know what the :P symbol stands for. But hope the above comment was tongue in cheek humor. Wasn't aware that a car could not be used by only one driver. If this is the policy please advise. Otherwise, I will start my race laps this week. 👍

GAh...that's hard to read. It's supposed to say 1:25.298 for GS and 1:33.139 for ST.
