Hi Guys,

As you all noticed, GTP_Lagas hasn't updated his leaderboard for quite a while now. He also hasn't been online since March, so I thought it would be a good idea to take over his work.

Expect for some minor cosmetic changes (it's difficult to recreate the exact same layout) I've kept everything the same.

In the division leaderboard the names of the drivers are in bronze, silver or gold. These are already updated according to the divisions thread. As I started to update these boards from week 59, updating these colours at the moment that the promotion really happened was just to difficult. In the future it will be much easier offcourse. If you do find some mistakes off any kind, please let me know!

NOTE: THIS LEADBOARD DOES NOT HAVE ANY INFLUENCES IN PROMOTIONS, IT'S ONLY TO MOTIVATE THE PARTICIPATION IN WRS.

The point system is still the same.

Thanks for all the hard work Andy 👍 This is a great feature of the WRS and good to see someone brave enough to continue Lagas' hard work

That's a lot of hard work. Thank you very much for doing it. Just a quick not as well, GTP_Anghammarad and GTP_Cohiba100 is the same person. I changed my tag a while back

👍 Two thumbs up 👍 that you're willing to put in the time and effort to bring the leaderboard back to life!!

Much respect, buddy!

Thanks Andy, been hoping this would come to life for a long time, keep up the good work would be great to see this back up to date.

Phillip.

Outstanding work and commitment Andy, I'm really glad you've decided to bring this back to life. Every racer has a leaderboard fetish

All the best
Maz

Nice job 👍

Now I can only hope that accessraider will be promoted real soon so that I'll take top spot in Div4 again :dopey:

I've updated everything to the latest official result! I'll try to keep it updated as much as possible!

Would anyone like to see some sort of short term leaderboard? A leaderboard where only the latest 5, 8 or 10 count or something. Let me know what you would like to see :).

Is there any interest in a short term leaderboard? Maybe only the latest 8 or 10 weeks or so.

Yeah maybe something like a running leaderboard that averages a driver's last 5 or 10 WRS performances, separated by division and maybe also class? That way people who have only just joined and have performed well are not punished by the current leaderboard format.

All the best
Maz

Great job Andy!

Thanks for all your hard work in keeping this alive & going!

Great job Andy.

To be fair, nothing can be updated until weeks 102, 103 and 104 have been made official...

Yeah I know, just tired of seeing my lonely 5 points and am anxious.

My advice for the WRS would be to concentrate fully on ensuring you have the best lap each week and have pushed yourself as far as you feel you can go. Do not worry about leaderboards and getting promoted, these will come as a result of the above and should be considered a pleasant surprise or a long term goal, rather than something you are desperately striving for.

The spirit of the WRS is about friendly competition and becoming better as a driver, not about moving up divisions as quickly as possible, they are only there really to ensure people are competing on a level playing field and not giving up after being thrashed every week by the likes of CT, Maz and Dan.

While I fully agree with you, there are points which go towards your overall tally and a titled thred "leaderboard" which induces thoughts of competition. I strive to be my best WRS or not and who stated moving up division's? I enjoy seeing peoples times that are far better than my own, it makes my drive to win more meaningful.

It is a goal and thus why I want to see how I have done. I see WRS as a place to get better, learn from better drivers and at the top of it all have fun. Part of that fun for me is striving to get better times, prove me and my DS3's rightful place and to see my points on the leaderboard. Desperate I am not, looking forward to yes.

As I said prior to this keep up the great work Andy.
Looking forward to week 110.

I respect your views and your goals but remember this is a friendly place and you will notice people don't gloat about there performance. I could run my mouth off every week at my times but I don't. I prefer to help others and give them as much advise as I can. Yes I am happy with my times and I like seeing myself climb up the leaderboard but I keep it to myself. It's just the right thing to do.

And one more thing. The rules are being bent for you. Technically you should be DQ'ed from the weeks you have run because you cannot provide the relevant replay.

So your message is coming across as you are expecting or demanding to be moved up but you have not provided any verification for it

I understand and agree and I am thankful. I do not gloat, just like to see what has happened. I also have attempted to help a few people in my short time here. I state how I increased my times not to brag but to help anybody that hasn't already thought of/implemented such tactics into their own driving. My first post of wanting to move up was to compair how I ran with the regular's and to see if I had improved like I feel I have.

I feel I am being misunderstood, I did not come to this thread to say hurry up or ha ha I'm better. I came here to see how I have fared thus far and got to thinking "I wonder how I am now" and realising I must wait until week 110 and stating "hurry up week 10".

I know I have gotten a huge leeway and I have thanked EDK numerous times and if my points had an asterisk beside them or even a red flag I would not mind as they are the rules. I feel this thread has been tainted enough I ask any other fellow members, if you don't like my purpose here then please message me either privately

or via wall posted in my profile thing. I do not like to argue but I also do not accept people jumping to conclusions about how I think and will discuss such matters until I feel I have either gotten my original point across or showed exactly why I am wrong in my thoughts.

Processing new results takes about 10 minutes a week. But after that I have to take pictures from the excel sheets, convert them to the right size, upload them to imageshack and edit my posts here. I don't mind giving in the numbers, but the part after that is a bit of a frustrating job. That's why I only post an update after a few weeks :).

I also want to week until the results are official before I update the boards. A mistake is already very easily made (I'm sure you'll find faults when you start checking everything) and will almost be certainly made when I start changing things.

Personally I don't really like the name "leaderboard" as it does indicate the WRS as a competition witch it's not. Or at least only for 1 week. But since I'm not the best in english, so I lack the ability to think of a better name :).

I do like statistics, so that's why I'm making this :).

Anyway, thanks for the compliments, it's nice to see your work appreciated :).

Final board is up! Congratulations to Animera for being the most consistent driver! 👍

I don't think I'll be doing the same thing for GT5. I'm thinking about doing a 10 week leaderboard. That way drivers who join the WRS later will still have a change to be on top. And promoted drivers will have a change to be on top off there new division.

Great work Andy, thanks

(although I'm sure you only did this because you beat me by 2 points right at the end :P )

Yaay, just managed to kreep into the top 10 of div 3 :P

Thanks for all your efforts my friend . Hope you keep up the good work with the WRS in GT5 👍

Ah well, you ended up before me in the general rankings :). (Altough we all know it's the division rankings that counts :P)
