So here we are with the final few drivers in the championship race, so place your votes!

Here are the Calculations for the Final Race

Alonso (@ 0 points) Wins If he is:

1st or 2nd
3rd, 4th, 5th and Webber 2nd
6th and Webber 3rd and Vettel 2nd
7th, 8th and Webber 4th and Vettel 2nd
9th and Webber 5th and Vettel 3rd
10th and Webber 6th and Vettel 3rd
11th or less and Webber 6th and Vettel 3rd and Hamilton 2nd

Webber (@ -8 points) Wins If he is:

1st and Alonso 3rd
2nd and Alonso 6th
3rd and Alonso 7th
4th and Alonso 9th
5th and Alonso 10th and Vettel 2nd
6th Impossible

Vettel (@ -15 points) Wins If he is:

1st and Alonso 5th and Webber 2nd
2nd and Alonso 9th and Webber 5th
3rd Impossible

Hamilton (@ -24 points) Wins If he is:

1st and Alonso 11th and Webber 6th and Vettel 3rd
2nd Impossible

(Note when these say "and (Driver) (Position)" it is assumed that this means said driver's position and/or anything less.

So everyone who is going to win?

P.S. If there is a miscalculation please tell me ASAP

lol, Webber fans....

Remember, this isn't a "who do you want to win", its a "who do you think will win". I tihnk ,and want Alonso to win. He's 8 points free of Webber, going into a track that looks Ferrari-suiting, or McLaren suiting more than anything else.

I voted for Alonso (reliability issues aside), based on my opinion that the F10 will likely be a strong threat to the RB6 pace wise @ Abu Dhabi.

Here were my prediction after Monza.

1. Mark Webber WDC
2. Fernando Alonso
3. Sebastian Vettel
4. Lewis Hamilton
5. Jenson Button

Looks like I could end up being pretty damn close, although I think at this point my favorite for the title would have to be Alonso, with Webber in 2nd. We shall see :) I gave myself a pat on the back for predicting (at Monza) the MP-4/25's lack of pace/drop off torward the end of the season at least. That chassis just seems to have something fundamentally wrong with it that not even the fanciest, 20 element wings will cover up. Mclaren will have A LOT of work to do over the winter to get things sorted out for next year - luckily for them they will have the benefit of being the most experienced team w/ KERS though 👍

I have to go with Webber, simply because I have a gut feeling something will break on Alonso's car(either that or the F10 is one durable car since neither Massa or Alonso have retired due to mechanical issues).

I voted for alonso. By the way, you could have added the poll after your previous thread was made.

Voted Webber. Even though I'd love to see Lewis pull off a miracle I can see Webber, with Seb there to take points rrom The Spaniard, clinching it.

Vettel wins if he is: 1st and Alonso 5th and Webber 2nd

Fixed, because of:

If Vettel finishes 1st, Webber 2nd and Alonso 5th, all three would be tied on 256 points. Vettel would win on countback as he has 3 4th places to Alonso's 2.

I thought that when it goes to countback it's the number of races you have won?

Roo
Yes. But both Vettel and Alonso would have 5 wins (to Webber's 4), so it goes to 2nd places. Both would have 2 2nd places, so it goes to 3rd places. Both would have 3 3rd places, so it goes to 4ths - of which Vettel has 3 to Alonso's 2, giving Seb the championship.

I'd say that button and massa are going to get in everyone's way at every possible chance. Altough if it comes down to Ferrari 1-2 with alonso leading I'd let massa win the race. It would be a nice way to end this fantastic season.

Something tells me that it will be a Red Bull track. If Vettel qualifies first, Webber 2nd and Alonso 3rd; then Alonso would have to stick pretty close to Webber to win it.

I think Alonso will win it, but something tells me my prediction during the winter testing might come true, which is Vettel winning it.

I reckon it will be Webber. Red Bull will lock out the front row in Abu Dhabi and Vettel will lead them away. Towards the end of the race, Vettel will dial his engine down and let Webber through unless Alonso retires.

What would be really interesting would be if Vettel lets Webber through, Alonso retires, Helmut Marko will try and order Webber to move over, Webber will ignore it and Vettel will try and beat him.

I say Webber. It's his year. Red Bull will lock out the front row, and they'll lead it home that way. Vettel knows that if Alonso is third and Webber second, then Alonso will still win the WDC. So he'll let Webber by to support the team.

Red Bull has the Constructors Championship, now go for the Drivers!

I can't really decide on pace alone or considering potential reliability issues, so I voted Alonso purely based on the fact he has the lead of 8 points still.
Vettel, Webber or Alonso can take it, there is little to choose. You would have to say Red Bull look set for another 1-2, which would put Alonso out of it but its hard to really believe it will happen as anything can still happen.

I don't think we have seen the end of the "favouritism" saga at Red Bull, its almost certainly going to rear its head in some form next weekend. You can bet everyone will be watching Red Bull for it!

I am now desperate for this to happen

I am not too sure about that... I wonder if Red Bull sabotage their own driver in order for Webber to win, something like what Ferrari did with Massa... Yet they would come in for a LOT of criticism since it is the final race

It would come under less criticism precisley because it is the final race.

Even though at the end of the day it still has the same effect on the WDC and should be considered just as big of a crime. I wonder if they will be labeled "dirty rotten, low-life, scum of the earth cheats" by some of the members on this forum  Wait, of course not...

Although fairplay to RB if they do implement team orders, because first of all I don't really mind if a team takes advantage of the loop-hole (like flexi wings, etc.) to benefit their team when it is justifiable and within reason (and IMO Hockenheim was justifiable unless you were sippin the cool aid and can't see anything from a realistic point of view), and second of all it would cancel out Ferrari using team orders @ Hockenheim.

This. For those saying It's a Ferrari track, i am assuming you didn't watch last years race. Vettel has already said he will support the team with regards to team orders, so despite mark and seb's recent clashes, he would much rather see a redbull win wdc then it go to a Ferrari.

Now that quali's done and dusted, who do you think will take it now? It looks more and more like a Vettel / Alonso race to me

So few votes for Vettel. guess the 45 people who voted otherwise are eating their words -_-
